I love dogs and hiking! I am an American who has been living in the Netherlands for the past 5 years and absolutely love it here. I live in Amsterdam West with my husband. While we are not quite ready to own our own dog since we like to travel, we truly enjoy helping out others and giving your pup a second home. I have owned dogs of various sizes throughout my life and have frequently cared for the pets of friends and family.

About My Services

I offer holiday coverage (boarding) and dog walking services.

• Personalized Care: I am happy to administer medications if needed and can reinforce basic training commands during your dog's stay. Please note that I do not offer professional grooming services.
• Walking & Activity: Walks will always follow the normal, familiar patterns of your dog. Typically, this includes a few shorter walks throughout the day for potty breaks and one long, exciting walk to ensure they get plenty of exercise.
• One Guest at a Time: To ensure the highest level of safety and focused attention, I only host one dog at a time at my place.

My Daily Routine & Supervision

Both my husband and I work from home full-time, meaning your dog will have constant company and a highly flexible schedule tailored to their needs.

• Supervision: We provide dedicated supervision. While we occasionally step out for the gym or quick errands, your pet will never be left alone for longer than 2 hours, well within Pawshake’s safety guidelines.

Home Environment

We live in a spacious 2.5-bedroom apartment on the second floor with wide, easy-to-climb stairs.

• Location: We are located right on a canal with a fantastic walking path nearby, and we live directly across the canal from a great dog park where I’d love to take your pup for some fun.
• Outdoor Space: Our apartment features a fully secured balcony where your dog can safely catch some fresh air.
• Sleeping Arrangements: At night, our preference is to have guest dogs sleep comfortably in the living room, where they will have plenty of space to settle down.

I am open to hosting your dog at my apartment, or since I work from home, I can easily work from your apartment for a few hours a day to keep them company while you are out of town.
