I am Vero, a passionate cat and dogs lady with a side job in fintech ;)

I live in de pijp/centrum area (close to the Carrè theatre).

I have grown up with two wonderful cats, Lavie and Nevado. I left them back in my home country (Italy) under my parents' care and miss them very much. That is why I'd love to care for your furry family as if they were my own.

I’m responsible, caring, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I often pet sit (both cats and dogs) for friends and family, and now I’m excited to extend that care to others in the neighbourhood through Pawshake. I welcome only vaccinated pets into my home, and I am also happy to make visits to yours. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or just some quiet company, I’ll make sure they feel relaxed and loved while you’re away.

I can administer medication to pets, whether mixed in food or given directly in the mouth, ears, eyes, or via injection. I’m comfortable doing injections after we’ve done it together once, so I can see how your pet responds.

I also offer bathing and brushing services.

When it comes to boarding, I only host one dog at a time in my home to ensure personalized care. For dog walks, I take a maximum of two dogs per walk, but only after meeting them individually and assessing how they behave around other dogs.

Each walk lasts 30 minutes, though I’m happy to adjust for shorter or longer walks depending on your pet’s needs. I offer two walks per day.

Your pet will never be left alone for more than one hour. I currently work from home and can easily integrate pet care into my daily routine. If that changes and I’m not able to commit, I’ll be transparent and decline the booking.

While I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment, I do live with two flatmates. Guest pets are welcome in the living room, kitchen, and balcony, and I’m happy to let them sleep in my room if they need extra care or comfort.

I don’t have a backyard, but I live very close to the Amstel river, which is perfect for regular walks.
