Hey! I’m Gabriela 😊 a Brazilian living in Amsterdam for the past 3 years (7 years in the Netherlands overall).

🐾 A lifelong love for animals & why I pet sit
I grew up surrounded by pets, and they’ve always been a big part of my life. I had a poodle for 17 years (yes, 17!! 🥹), and later two rescue cats. Since moving abroad, I haven’t had pets of my own, and I truly miss that daily connection.

Since I am next to the westerpark every day I see people walking their dogs and think: “I wish that was me!” Pet sitting is my way of bringing that joy back into my routine ❤️

🏡 Home environment
I live in a spacious and comfortable apartment right next to Westerpark 🌳 (see pictures), making it ideal for frequent walks and outdoor time. The home environment is calm and pet-friendly, with plenty of space for dogs to relax and feel safe.

I share the home with a flatmate who loves dogs and is happy to help with walks and care. My boyfriend is also a big dog lover, so your pet will always be surrounded by attention and affection 🐶❤️

🕒 Availability & routine
From Thursday to Sunday, I work from home on my thesis and fully control my schedule. During these days, I can be with your dog 100% of the time, giving them constant attention and care.

From Monday to Wednesday, I work a regular 9–17 schedule, so I’m away during the day, but still available for morning, evening, and overnight care.

🐶 Daily care & walks
I can take dogs out 4–5 times per day from Thursday to Sunday, depending on their needs, and I always aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I carefully follow feeding schedules and make sure they feel comfortable and at home.

💊 Experience with senior dogs & medication
I have experience with older dogs and medical care. My own dog needed up to 11 pills per day plus occasional injections, so I’m very comfortable handling medication and giving extra attention when needed.

✅ Safety & preferences
For the safety and wellbeing of all pets:
• I can host up to two dogs if they are from the same household or already comfortable together
• Otherwise, I prefer to care for one dog at a time to ensure full safety
