Hello, I'm Anne!

My passion for animals started at young age, back in Brazil, as I grew up next to Hannie - a lovely and loyal German Shepherd. She was double my size but I was never scared of her, I knew I could trust her because she also trusted me. I believe that trust is the fundamental factor in a human - animal relationship. Sometimes it happens immediately, and sometimes it can be built up, with patience and care from the human side.

Still in Brazil I worked as a volunteer in different NGOs that help dogs and cats in danger. Sadly, there are lots of dogs and cats living in the streets in Brazil, so the organizations helping them can always use some volunteer work. It is an endless job, and this situation makes me very sad. Because I'm far I can only help with donations, what I do periodically.

In 2016, while living in Belgium, our family adopted Fatou. I'm biased to say that she is the cutest and most lovable cat in the world. Honestly, she taught me how deep can be the connection between humans and cats. Before having Fatou in my life I've only shared my house with dogs, and I had no idea how amazing it is to have a cat in your life. Our lady is getting old, but she still has lots of energy to play and to demand for food. I appreciate every single day with her.

I've been petsitting via Pawshake since 2018, first in Brussels and now in Amsterdam. For me your pet is an equal, so I'll take care of them as I would do with a little sibling. I can guarantee that you and your dogs and/or cats will have the best experience while you're apart. I'll keep close contact to you by sending news and pictures of your friends at every visit. I know from experience how hard it is to trust our beloved companions to someone else, but relax: your pet will be safe and cared for :)  

Right now my schedule allows me to offer home visits in the early afternoons at West, New West and Center of Amsterdam. Each visit takes at least 30 minutes. I'll stay longer with your pet if I have extra time or if you are away for more than a week. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
