Hi 🐶🐱

My name is Lauren and I’m 31 years old. I’m originally from Cape Town, South Africa but moved to Amsterdam in November 2021 to pursue my PhD in Immunology/Virology at Vrije Universitiet Medisch Centrum (VUmc) and since I determine my own hours, my daily working schedule is pretty flexible. I’m available Monday through Sunday, more specifically late afternoon or evening, but I can easily visit your pets in the morning before I start my day in the lab.

Moving to Amsterdam made me realize how much I miss having an animal friend around since I grew up with animals in my home since I was little. Currently I have a dog in South Africa, his name is Duke and we facetime almost everyday because he lives with my mom. But I still miss having animal interaction on the daily. I also had a cat named Felix who lived until 17 human years so I’m able to look after both your cat and dog. 

In short, I’m confident I have the experience to comfortably look after your furry friend as they are my own as I have had pets all my life and looked after my families and friends animals when they went away. Therefore, I will make sure to care for your furry friends every need.

I offer the following services:

• House sitting – pet sitting at your house, spending more time with your pet making sure they are comfortable while you’re away.

• Dog walking – 30-60 mins per walk, I can fetch them from your house and either walk them in a park or around your neighborhood, whichever you prefer.

• House visits – max 2 visits per day. I will check on your furry friend, feed them, change the litterbox, or take them outside if a dog and make sure they feel cared for while you’re away.
