Hey! I’m Margherita, an Italian who has been happily calling the Netherlands home for the past eight years. I moved here to study, now work full-time from home, and speak fluent Dutch, English, and Italian — so whether your dog responds to zit, sit, or seduto, we’ll get along just fine! 🐶

Because I work from home, your dog will have plenty of company, attention, and cuddles throughout the day. I’m very flexible with routines, and on the rare occasions I go to the office, dogs are welcome to join me.

I’ve always had dogs in my life. I currently have a 13-year-old Jack Russell and a 1-year-old Maltipoo, and I’ve also done dog sitting in the past. While this is my first time offering dog care through Pawshake, my love for dogs and hands-on experience have always been a big part of my life. In unexpected situations, I stay calm and always put the dog’s safety and well-being first.

I live in a cozy apartment close to Vondelpark, making it the perfect place for walks, sniffing adventures, and outdoor time. I mainly care for small and medium-sized dogs, but well-behaved larger breeds such as Golden Retrievers are also welcome.

Whether you need daycare a few days a week, overnight stays (even for several nights), or a walk while you’re busy, I’d be happy to help. Walks can be planned in the morning before I start working (around 30 minutes to 1 hour) or in the afternoon, when we can take more time for longer adventures (30 minutes up to 1.5–2 hours), depending on your dog’s needs and preferences.

Every dog has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel comfortable — from feeding schedules and medication to favourite walking routes and extra cuddles. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. 💛
