Top cities for house sitting in The Netherlands

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Zandvoort home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Zandvoort.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Zandvoort home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi! My name is Caoilinn (Keelin) I'm Irish, living in the Netherlands now for over 3 years. I'm working in amsterdam in marketing. Im an animal lover and especially dogs!
I have a dog at home in Ireland who I miss terribly so I am looking to spend time with some furry friends while I can't be with her! She is 3 years old, a cavapoo and is very sassy. I have always had dogs in my home and I miss being around them a lot. So I'm looking to find people who need a hand with taking care of their dog as I am not able to have a dog in my current house.
I have minded dogs all through my studies and even trained a puppy from 8 weeks old at one point, so I have lots of experience with different types of dogs.
I am open to regular dog walking and occasional pet sitting overnight once I know the dog. I am also open to minding and feeding cats.

Hello! I live around the Haarlem noord area and bring with me a wealth of experience and a genuine love for our four-legged friends. With a proven track record in pet sitting, including the dedicated care of two adult big dogs over extended periods, I am committed to providing the highest level of service to your beloved pets.
Having grown up surrounded by dogs and actively involved in their care, I possess an innate understanding of their needs and behaviors. From walking and feeding to training and playtime, I am well-versed in all aspects of pet care and will be able to stay overnight, go for visits and walk/feed your furry friends. My passion for spending time with dogs and cats extends beyond mere duty; it's a genuine joy to engage with them, whether it's on leisurely walks or through enriching play activities.
I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your furry companions, and to providing them with the love, attention, and care they deserve while you're away.

I have a deep passion and respect for animals, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I have 10 dogs and 4 cats, all rescued as strays, and I have learned how to care for animals with different personalities, needs, and backgrounds.I treat every animal with empathy and responsibility, always respecting their nature and individual needs, ensuring they feel safe and understood.I have also volunteered for years in an association in Italy with over 150 stray dogs of all sizes, gaining valuable experience in handling, feeding, and socializing animals with varied temperaments. In addition to my own pets, I have extensive experience as a pet sitter and have occasionally assisted veterinarians, learning to recognize changes in behavior or health conditions. I hold a dog trainer diploma from the Paladog Academy in Milan.I offer pet sitting at the owner’s home, daily visits, and dog walking services, always adapting to each animal’s routine and the owner’s requests. I carefully follow each pet’s daily routine, including feeding times, walks, and rest periods, to ensure they feel comfortable and stress-free. I enjoy playing with animals, keeping them mentally stimulated, active, and happy. During visits or walks, I pay attention to hydration, exercise needs, and mental stimulation, providing gentle reassurance or extra attention when needed. I have experience calming nervous or reactive dogs, helping them feel secure using patience, positive reinforcement, and gentle techniques. I aim to create a positive, trusting experience for every pet, making sure they feel loved and well cared for while their owners are away.

Hi, I’m Joaquin!
I’m passionate about animals and nature, and I’ve been surrounded by pets since I was a child. Back in Argentina, I have two beloved companions: Pipe, my cat, and Ranquel, my black German Shepherd. Throughout my life I’ve cared for many pets, from dogs and cats to a chinchilla and even a spider.

Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with different aspects of pet care. I’m comfortable administering oral medication and applying spot-on treatments like flea pipettes. I’ve also cared for pets with different personalities—from shy or anxious cats to large, energetic dogs—and I know how to make them feel calm, safe, and loved.

When it comes to walks, I focus on both exercise and safety, making sure your dog enjoys their time outdoors while staying secure on the lead. During home visits or sleepovers, I always make sure pets stick to their routines, get plenty of playtime and affection, and feel like they’re never alone.

My priority is always your pet’s safety, health, and happiness—and your peace of mind. I know how difficult it can be to leave a loved one behind, so I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages. You can also reach out to me anytime with questions or concerns; I’m always happy to help.

With me, your pet will be in loving, responsible hands.

I took care of my friend's German shepherd for 5 years until she moved out of town. I miss being around pets and would love to keep company and care for your fur babies!
We will take long walks through city parks and meet other pups (if you allow/encourage it). Lots of scratching and hugging when we're done with the exercise! As for cats staying at home, as much love and affection will be provided (along with the space they would need depending on their personality) ️
I'm only homeschooled at the moment (my schedule is flexible), so it's very easy to work around my schedule. I'm always free most weekends. I am also very approachable and will always keep you updated with texts and lots of pictures.
I am available for tours, child care and overnight stays.

Let's connect to discuss all of your pet's needs and make sure he/she has a great stay or outing!

Hello! My name is Honia and I am a 20 year old Polish student, currently living and studying in Amsterdam. I speak fluently in Polish and English. I have grown up around pets and I've been surrounded by them my entire life. I love playing with them and taking care of them, which is my motivation to be a pet sitter/walker.
I have owned cats in the past and I am currently a proud owner of a poodle. This gives me experience with both cats and dogs. I am able to adapt to different pets, their personalities and needs. Thanks to my previous experience, I can prepare meals for pets, entertain them, clean or bathe them, and take them out on walks. If a pet has special needs, regarding their diet or physical state, I will make sure to adapt and make them as comfortable as I possibly can.
