I'm studying psychology and as it's a full time studies, I'm studying a lot and am in class a lot. For that reason I want to get a balance in my life which I want to combine with dogs and going on a walk. I have always been in love with the nature and gods and wouldn't mind going with dogs for a long walk. I am an animal lover, in particular dogs. They show and feel emotions which is a comforting zone for me, personally. 
I haven't had a dog myself but I walked and spent time with dogs of my friends and family (as seen in the attached photos) therefore I know what to look out for and how to take care of them. Furthermore, I've cat and dog sat already here on Pawshake for more than a year now. 
Preferably, I cant take your dog at my place because my landlord has his strict rules about that place. Generally, I don't mind whether the dog is vaccinated or not.

Hi, my name is Holly, I am 20 years old and currently studying psychology here in Maastricht I absolutely love animals, especially dogs. I used to own a small Bolonka Zwetna, his name was Schrubbi. I miss having a pet around and playing with them, taking them on nice walks, especially around maastricht, it's so beautiful here. I have already been a pet-sitter back home in germany, I took care of a Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Poodle) and we got along amazingly. I can take special instructions and wishes into consideration when taking care of your little one. My dog was a puppy when we got him, so I am comfortable with taking care of little pups as well as older dogs and I don't have any allergies so no limitations! I would prefer taking care of vaccinated dogs but we can discuss that on a case to case basis. I would appreciate a heads up about whether or not they are trained to walk on leashes, because that impacts where we should best make our rounds. Otherwise, I'm just happy to help and take care of your pets and let them have a good time:)

Back home in my family house, I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats, and I loved every moment with them — from playtime and cuddles to making sure they were fed, safe, and happy. Since moving here, I’ve really missed having them around, which is why I’d love to spend time caring for other pets.I might not have “professional” pet-sitting experience, but I truly believe what matters most is patience, kindness, and genuine love for animals. I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I was so obsessed that I used to hand my toy dogs to my dad so he could walk ahead of me, just so I could pretend I was walking them myself. I’ve grown up surrounded by family friends’ dogs and have spent most of my formative years learning everything about them. I think I have grown to understand how to read their behaviour, body language and personalities.
My own dog was brought into our home as a result of my persuasion and pestering over 11 years of my life and so once we got him, I have been very actively involved in his life. He is a very lively cocker spaniel-poodle mix so I’m used to energetic dogs who need both mental and physical stimulation. I’m also experienced with older, slower and more sensitive dogs who need patience, calmness and extra care having looked after our friends' old labrador for the last five years of his life. On walks, I make sure dogs get the right balance of exercise, sniffing time and engagement, adjusting the pace depending on age, fitness and confidence levels. Nervous dogs are always given space, reassurance and calm guidance, while more energetic ones benefit from structure, recall practice and playful interaction. Over the years I’ve also cared for older and more sensitive dogs, ensuring gentler walks and plenty of comfort. I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends and family, including golden retrievers, labradors and whippets, so I’m confident in adapting to different breeds and needs. I love seeing how different dogs have such different personalities and getting to understand them better. Additionally, I am an active person myself, loving the outdoors and I miss my own dog greatly when at university; dog sitting is the perfect opportunity to give the care and attention I am used to giving to my own dog to yours!
When house sitting, safety and routine come first. I make sure to maintain feeding schedules, keep environments secure, and make sure dogs are never left unsupervised in unfamiliar situations. I prioritise calm handling, secure lead walking, name-tag checks and awareness of surroundings when outdoors.
My motivation for pet sitting is simple: I genuinely love spending time with dogs, and I want owners to feel completely at ease knowing their pets are happy, safe and loved. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I’m committed to making their time with me positive and stress-free. Dogs are incredible at reading human emotions and body language which is why they are such great companions and I am passionate about giving them the best company in return. Hallo! Mijn naam is Céline Houben, 23 jaar. Ik ben onlangs afgestudeerd als dierenarts aan de Universiteit van Gent (BE), waar ik de studie diergeneeskunde heb gevolgd. Al van jongs af aan heb ik een enorme passie voor dieren. Mijn eerste hond was een kruising tussen een Berner Sennen en een Golden Retriever, en momenteel hebben wij thuis een Golden Retriever.
Dankzij mijn achtergrond als dierenarts beschik ik over uitgebreide kennis van de verzorging en gezondheid van honden, katten en andere diersoorten. Naast de gebruikelijke zorgtaken ben ik extra alert op signalen die kunnen wijzen op gezondheidsproblemen. Hi, ik ben Aurely, 22 jaar oud. Ik woon mijn hele leven lang in Sittard, dus ik ken de omgeving en een paar hondenbaasjes al goed. Mijn achtergrondSamen met mijn moeder heb ik een reactieve hond. Hij is geboren aan de andere kant van Europa en heeft zowel daar, als door degenen die hem naar Nederland hebben vervoerd veel trauma ervaren. Daarom is zijn vertrouwen in onbekende mensen en dieren heel klein.Hierdoor is mijn kennis in gezonde en fijne opvoeding voor dieren wel ontzettend ruim geworden, en heb ik veel begrip voor de reactieviteit en het vele blaffen wat we op straat ervaren. Hiervoor ben ik opgegroeid met twee herdershonden, dus ook grote "paarden" ben ik dikke vriendjes mee. Momenteel zit ik eventjes zonder werk, dus was ik op zoek naar een dagbesteding waar ik zelf ook baat bij heb. Ik ben een sportief persoon, dus veel lopen en diertjes verzorgen leek de perfecte uitkomst toen ik deze app tegenkwam!Hierdoor ben ik van maandag tor vrijdag ook heel ruim beschikbaar.Maar ik ben natuurlijk niet alleen een hondenliefhebber, absoluut alle dieren en reptielen zijn welkom, met uitzondering van spinnen... Grote honden en jachtsoorten hebben natuurlijk een heel ander niveau beweging nodig dan een chihuahua. (en een andere maat poepzakje...)Graag doe ik ook zoek of snuffelspelletjes om ze ook mentaal moe te krijgen, zodat ze erna thuis rustig kunnen slapen terwijl het gezin werkt of studeert.Bij thuisbezoekjes sta ik ook open voor extra taken naast voeren en even aandacht geven. Het kan natuurlijk zijn dat je dier medicatie of bepaalde verzorging nodig heeft. Zodra ik een beetje bekend ben met zijn/haar persoonlijkheid, kan ik dit ook zeker doen!

Ik ben Iris, 50 jaar.  Van kleins af aan ben ik zot van dieren.  Omdat ik thuis geen dieren mocht hebben, kon je me als kind dan ook altijd op de boerderij van de buren vinden.   Van zodra ik alleen ben gaan wonen, ben ik gaan paardrijden en heb ik twee hondjes in huis gehaald.  Nu hondjes ... :-) Mijn eerste hond was een Ierse Wolfshond.&nbsp;
Ondertussen zijn we  30 jaar later en omdat mijn man net zo zot van honden is als ik, zijn we ondertussen de fiere baasjes geweest van verschillende Ierse Wolfhonden, een Basset, Border Terrier en enkele windhonden.   Toen de dochter klein was, werd ons gezin aangevuld met cavia's, konijnen, enkele poezen, ... Dus door de jaren heen heb ik best wel wat ervaring opgedaan met het verzorgen van verschillende dieren.  Sommige van hen hadden extra zorg nodig, waardoor medicatie toedienen of special verzorging, mits de nodige uitleg, ook geen probleem mag zijn.&nbsp;
Vorig jaar hebben we jammer genoeg plotseling moeten afscheid nemen van onze grote vriend Thorgal. Mijn man en ik hebben besloten om voorlopig eventjes geen nieuwe deugniet in huis te halen. Omdat het huis nu toch echt leeg is, willen we het de komende tijd openstellen als opvang / vakantieadres voor hondjes. Onze tuin, auto, huis en zetel zijn volledig afgestemd op het leven met grote honden. Kleine hondjes zijn natuurlijk ook meer dan wekom. We wonen in het Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen, dus kan er iedere dag in het bos gewandeld worden. Er is ook iedere dag iemand thuis. Wij bieden individuele opvangen : een hond per verblijf of max twee honden van hetzelfde gezin per verblijf.
