Top cities for house sitting in The Netherlands

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Someren home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Someren.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Someren home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I’ve loved animals since I was a child and grew up surrounded by them—dogs, cats, and years of horseback riding. Caring for animals has always been second nature to me, and I treat them as if they were my own.
Although I don’t have a pet at the moment due to space and responsibility, I truly miss being around them. That’s why I would love to take care of yours! Whether it’s pet sitting or dog walking, I’m happy to help.
I have experience from my time in Portugal, where I regularly did pet sitting and dog walking. I understand the importance of trust, patience, and attention when caring for someone’s beloved pet. Whether your furry friend needs playtime, cuddles, or just a relaxing walk, I’ll make sure they feel safe and happy.
I’d love to meet your pet and help however I can!

Hi! I’m Adam, a 20-year-old law student from Ireland. Growing up, my home was always filled with pets, including dogs, cats, and even chickens. Most of them were rescues, and we regularly fostered animals while they waited for their forever homes. I’ve always been passionate about animals, especially smaller dog breeds, but I’ve also fostered and later adopted a female Doberman named Lexi, so I have experience with larger breeds too.

Over the years, I’ve cared for many different dogs: a Jack Russell named Clarabelle, several Chihuahuas, three Yorkshire Terriers, and a little rescue mutt called Bran. Archie, one of my Chihuahuas, suffers from hydrocephalus, and Clarabelle had arthritis and later developed cancer, so I understand the extra love and care dogs with health issues need.

Becoming a pet sitter and walker feels like the perfect fit. It’s a way to combine my passion for dogs with helping other pet owners feel at ease when they’re away.

As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to feel confident that your furry friend is safe, happy, and well looked after. I treat every pet like they are part of my own family, making sure they receive the love, attention, and routine they are used to. I have experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments, including senior dogs and those with special needs. I’ve also delivered and raised puppies, as my Chihuahua Gloria had two litters in recent years.

Along with taking the best possible care of your pet, my goal is to ensure you feel completely at ease leaving them with me. I’m happy to follow any instructions you provide regarding food, medication, or daily routines.

Thank you for reading. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend!

Hello!
I'm Hugo and I'm from Portugal. I moved to the Netherlands over 2 years ago and it's been an amazing experience so far.
However I do miss the portuguese weather and my pets. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats back home, so I'm used to always have 4 pawed company everywhere I go.
Having the opportunity to pet sit here is just the icing in the cake for me.
I have experience with quite a few animals, back in Portugal, just before moving to the Netherlands I was working as a Zookeeper for one of the biggest zoo's in Portugal.
Some of the animals I was caring for were parrots, eagles, owls, ravens, lemurs, snakes, lizards, turtles and a lot more. I was very lucky to be surrounded by all those species of animals, it was a very fulfilling work for me and I learned a lot during my time there.
I'm open to pet sit for all kinds of animals as well, so if you liked my profile please don't hesitate to contact me and do let know if you have any additional questions.
Hope to hear from you soon!
