I’m originally from South Africa and I'm based in Maastricht with family while I explore more of Europe and the world. I work remotely in marketing, which gives me the flexibility to stay in many different places, and house sitting feels like the perfect way to do that while still keeping a sense of home (and hopefully a few furry companions too!).
I’m a fairly quiet and calm person by nature, though I have my moments when I want to go out and explore or attend events. As an introvert, I spend a lot of time alone to recharge, which is perfect for spending time with animals that need company.
I’ve done plenty of house and pet sitting back in South Africa (going since 2010), and I’m excited to extend that to my time in the Netherlands. I know how important it is to feel at ease while you’re away, and I’d love to offer you that peace of mind. I have already done some pet sitting in the Netherlands through Trusted Housesitters and have a 5-star rating with reviews.
For me, house and pet sitting brings together two things I care deeply about: spending time with animals and experiencing new places in a way that feels more local and meaningful.

Wij zijn Christel en Rob, twee enthousiaste dierenliefhebbers die graag buiten zijn en veel wandelen. Omdat we regelmatig op reis zijn, is het hebben van een eigen huisdier voor ons niet haalbaar. Toch genieten we enorm van het gezelschap van dieren. Oppassen op honden en katten is voor ons de ideale manier om toch van dieren te kunnen genieten én anderen te helpen.We zijn zeer flexibel in de periodes en locaties waarin we beschikbaar zijn. Op dit moment passen we niet alleen op in Nederland, maar ook in het buitenland – zoals op Curaçao en in de Verenigde Staten – voor mensen die tijdelijk op reis zijn.Voor ons staat het welzijn van het dier altijd centraal. We nemen de tijd om ons aan te passen aan hun routine en besteden veel aandacht aan hun comfort en behoefte aan aandacht. Met liefde en zorg behandelen we elk dier alsof het ons eigen huisdier is.

Ik ben Benthe, 20 jaar oud. Ik ga nu naar mijn tweedejaar van de bachelor rechtsgeleerdheid in Maastricht. Ik heb al mijn hele leven minimaal 1 hond gehad waaronder ook een hondennestje. Vroeger had ik ook een kat. Ik ben een enorme dierenliefhebber. Ik hou voornamelijk super veel van honden en ben ook fan van katten. Ik raak al enthousiast als ik een hond op straat zie en het liefst zou ik ze allemaal knuffelen. Ik ben verder ook erg goed met honden zo heb ik bij mijn ouders thuis elke week een vaste oppashond en komen er regelmatig 3 andere honden langs. Ik vind het leuk om te wandelen en doe dit dan het liefst met een of meerdere honden. Aangezien ik zoveel van honden hou wil ik er nu mijn bijbaan van maken om op ze te passen. Ik denk dat ik door mijn liefde voor honden de perfecte oppas ben en en kijk er naar uit om voor veel lieve honden/katten op te passen of uit te laten.

Hoi! Mijn naam is Isa Honings en ik ben een echte dierenvriend. Vanaf jonge leeftijd ben ik opgegroeid met honden, vroeger voornamelijk grotere rassen en tegenwoordig geniet ik vooral van het gezelschap van kleinere hondjes. Ook katten hebben altijd een speciaal plekje in mijn hart gehad, en ik weet hoe belangrijk het is om ze met liefde en aandacht te verzorgen.

Ik ben vrolijk, flexibel en geduldig, en ik vind het heerlijk om tijd door te brengen met dieren. Ik begrijp dat elk dier zijn eigen karakter heeft: sommige zijn energiek en speels, anderen rustig of wat verlegen. Ik pas mijn aanpak hierop aan en zorg ervoor dat ze zich op hun gemak voelen, altijd respectvol en met aandacht voor hun grenzen.

Veiligheid staat bij mij voorop. Zo let ik bijvoorbeeld altijd op verkeer tijdens wandelingen, houd ik deuren en poorten goed gesloten en zorg ik dat kleine hondjes of katten zich niet kunnen bezeren. Mijn ervaring leert dat een rustige omgeving, consistente routines en veel positieve aandacht het verschil maken.

Jouw huisdier wordt bij mij behandeld met alle zorg, liefde en veiligheid die het verdient, alsof het mijn eigen dier is. Ik kijk ernaar uit om jullie te leren kennen en samen een fijne tijd te hebben!

Hi, ik ben Aurely, 22 jaar oud. Ik woon mijn hele leven lang in Sittard, dus ik ken de omgeving en een paar hondenbaasjes al goed. Mijn achtergrondSamen met mijn moeder heb ik een reactieve hond. Hij is geboren aan de andere kant van Europa en heeft zowel daar, als door degenen die hem naar Nederland hebben vervoerd veel trauma ervaren. Daarom is zijn vertrouwen in onbekende mensen en dieren heel klein.Hierdoor is mijn kennis in gezonde en fijne opvoeding voor dieren wel ontzettend ruim geworden, en heb ik veel begrip voor de reactieviteit en het vele blaffen wat we op straat ervaren. Hiervoor ben ik opgegroeid met twee herdershonden, dus ook grote "paarden" ben ik dikke vriendjes mee. Momenteel zit ik eventjes zonder werk, dus was ik op zoek naar een dagbesteding waar ik zelf ook baat bij heb. Ik ben een sportief persoon, dus veel lopen en diertjes verzorgen leek de perfecte uitkomst toen ik deze app tegenkwam!Hierdoor ben ik van maandag tor vrijdag ook heel ruim beschikbaar.Maar ik ben natuurlijk niet alleen een hondenliefhebber, absoluut alle dieren en reptielen zijn welkom, met uitzondering van spinnen... Als ik de vaste uitlater/oppas van je dier zou worden, is dit wel zeker wel mogenlijk! (met een extraatje als reisvergoeding)Tijdens een wandeling pas ik de duur aan aan de maat en behoeftes van je dier. Grote honden en jachtsoorten hebben natuurlijk een heel ander niveau beweging nodig dan een chihuahua. (en een andere maat poepzakje...)Graag doe ik ook zoek of snuffelspelletjes om ze ook mentaal moe te krijgen, zodat ze erna thuis rustig kunnen slapen terwijl het gezin werkt of studeert.Bij thuisbezoekjes sta ik ook open voor extra taken naast voeren en even aandacht geven. Het kan natuurlijk zijn dat je dier medicatie of bepaalde verzorging nodig heeft. Zodra ik een beetje bekend ben met zijn/haar persoonlijkheid, kan ik dit ook zeker doen!

I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I was so obsessed that I used to hand my toy dogs to my dad so he could walk ahead of me, just so I could pretend I was walking them myself. I’ve grown up surrounded by family friends’ dogs and have spent most of my formative years learning everything about them. I think I have grown to understand how to read their behaviour, body language and personalities.
My own dog was brought into our home as a result of my persuasion and pestering over 11 years of my life and so once we got him, I have been very actively involved in his life. He is a very lively cocker spaniel-poodle mix so I’m used to energetic dogs who need both mental and physical stimulation. I’m also experienced with older, slower and more sensitive dogs who need patience, calmness and extra care having looked after our friends' old labrador for the last five years of his life. On walks, I make sure dogs get the right balance of exercise, sniffing time and engagement, adjusting the pace depending on age, fitness and confidence levels. Nervous dogs are always given space, reassurance and calm guidance, while more energetic ones benefit from structure, recall practice and playful interaction. Over the years I’ve also cared for older and more sensitive dogs, ensuring gentler walks and plenty of comfort. I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends and family, including golden retrievers, labradors and whippets, so I’m confident in adapting to different breeds and needs. I love seeing how different dogs have such different personalities and getting to understand them better. Additionally, I am an active person myself, loving the outdoors and I miss my own dog greatly when at university; dog sitting is the perfect opportunity to give the care and attention I am used to giving to my own dog to yours!
When house sitting, safety and routine come first. I make sure to maintain feeding schedules, keep environments secure, and make sure dogs are never left unsupervised in unfamiliar situations. I prioritise calm handling, secure lead walking, name-tag checks and awareness of surroundings when outdoors.
My motivation for pet sitting is simple: I genuinely love spending time with dogs, and I want owners to feel completely at ease knowing their pets are happy, safe and loved. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I’m committed to making their time with me positive and stress-free. Dogs are incredible at reading human emotions and body language which is why they are such great companions and I am passionate about giving them the best company in return. Moreover, I understand that dogs often function on routine and therefore I am happy to follow any routines you already have in place.

Hi, my name is Holly, I am 20 years old and currently studying psychology here in Maastricht I absolutely love animals, especially dogs. I used to own a small Bolonka Zwetna, his name was Schrubbi. I miss having a pet around and playing with them, taking them on nice walks, especially around maastricht, it's so beautiful here. I have already been a pet-sitter back home in germany, I took care of a Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Poodle) and we got along amazingly. I can take special instructions and wishes into consideration when taking care of your little one. My dog was a puppy when we got him, so I am comfortable with taking care of little pups as well as older dogs and I don't have any allergies so no limitations! I would prefer taking care of vaccinated dogs but we can discuss that on a case to case basis. I would appreciate a heads up about whether or not they are trained to walk on leashes, because that impacts where we should best make our rounds. Otherwise, I'm just happy to help and take care of your pets and let them have a good time:)

Hi! My name is Clara and I a recent graduate from Maastricht University. I am a barista at a specialty coffee place and I recently started volunteering at an animal shelter. I love crafts, specially knitting and crocheting.
Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to have a dog. My parents then decided to get a cat and I then fell in love with cats as well. Now I have both a cat and a dog of my own and I’ve never been happier. My dog, Charlie, is 14 years old now so I have some experience with senior dogs. My cat, Pucci, on the other hand, is barely a year old, so I’m also used to very active animals with more demanding needs.
I just started pet sitting for other people a few months ago and it has been so fulfilling. Since I don't have the possibility yet of adopting more pets of my own, it's really the perfect opportunity to get to take care of more pets. And plus, I just love the company they offer.
I moved into a new house with a great garden a couple of months ago, which is the perfect place for your dog to get some fresh air and have fun. I also have a wonderful couch where we could cuddle or play together. And of course we will be going on lots of walks! There are a couple of dog friendly parks around my neighborhood, which is perfect!

Hi there! My name is Kubo, I’m from Slovakia, and I’ve been studying in Maastricht for over a year now. If there’s anything I miss besides my family and the mountains, it’s definitely my dogs. Throughout my life, we’ve always had at least three dogs at home, with whom I spent a lot of my free time. In addition to having a large dog (a Hungarian Vizsla), we also owned smaller breeds like a Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, and Pomeranian.
Beyond caring for my own dogs, I started helping my uncle during the summer in a dog hotel in England when I was in my early teens. There, I looked after more than 50 dogs, which were exclusively large terriers, and it gave me a wealth of experience.
I’d love to relive the moments of walking my own dogs and help people with their furry companions. I would approach this not only responsibly and lovingly but also as a way to relax amidst the challenges of university life.
