"Overall, we had a very positive experience with Sophie. Communication throughout the booking was great, and she kept us well updated with regular photos and reports during the day. She took wonderful care of our dog, ensuring she wasn't left alone for too long, which was our main priority.
Our dog usually tends to stop eating when we're away, and Sophie was extremely supportive with this. She asked about tricks she could use to encourage her to eat, followed those tips carefully, and made sure our dog was eating properly. Knowing she went that extra mile and kept us informed specifically about her meals gave us great peace of mind throughout our trip.
She also took great care of our home, leaving it clean and helping us water our plants.
The only minor detail to note is regarding household cameras. Although we discussed the presence of indoor cameras during the initial Meet & Greet without any issue, she requested that the camera be turned off as we were leaving on the final day. While we respected her privacy preference, having a clear and consistent agreement from the start would have been preferred.
Aside from that, Sophie was reliable, caring, and respectful of our space and dog. We are thankful for her help and would definitely book with her again without hesitation!"

"Teodora really did an amazing job taking care of my dog. He is a rescue and doesn't trust people easily, so She was very patient and knew when and how to approach him. She followed the few instructions precisely and paid close attention to the things I told her were important, like monitoring my dog's eating behaviour.
Communication with Teodora was fluid. She is very responsive, and shared pictures of my dog frequently. It's usually stressful for me to leave my dog with someone else, especially the first time, but I felt very comfortable with Teodora. I would definitely recommend her to anyone, even if their dogs have some special needs, like mine."

"Irene was a great housesitter! I originally booked a housesit for just my cat and dog but at the last minute, my puppy needed care as well. Irene was unfazed by this last minute request and took great care of all 3 of my pets, even though my puppy (a border collie!) was a handful and required more attention and care. Irene kept my apartment clean and sent regular updates. I would love to have Irene housesit when I travel again. Thank you so much Irene! "

"Ireri was great with our two difficult chihuahua mixes! She provided pictures every day and responded quickly to any questions we had. We ended up having our flight cancelled so we arrived back a day late and Ireri was very helpful -- while she was unavailable to stay another night, she arranged for another dog sitter to stay with our dogs. When we got back home our house was clean and neat!"

"Ashling was absolutely fantastic with our cat Sybil. It was the first time for us to hire a cat sitter but Ashling made sure we didn’t have to worry about our cat. She communicated very clearly and sent photos and updates regularly. She even crocheted a hat for our cat! Highly recommended and we would definitely ask her to take care of our cat again. "

"Floor heeft 1,5 week op onze drie katten gepast tijdens onze vakantie. Eén daarvan heeft medicijnen nodig, waar ze met veel zorg en rustige aandacht mee is omgegaan. Floor is snel in de communicatie wat erg prettig is. We troffen de katten en het huis bij thuiskomst uitstekend aan wat ook erg fijn was. Ik beveel haar van harte aan en heb haar voor de volgende vakantie alweer geboekt."

Why house sitting ?
Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Schalkwijk home while you are away.
House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Schalkwijk.
At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.
The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Schalkwijk home is also being looked after as well.
In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.
Pet owners book house sitting in Schalkwijk on Pawshake. Over 1209 pet owners in Schalkwijk have left a review, with an average of 4.96/5. All paid safely using Ideal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express
