Hi there! My name is Nicoleta, I'm 20 years old, and I am currently studying Psychology at the University of Groningen. A year ago, I moved here from Romania, away from my family and friends for the first time. My familiy means the world to me and being so far is really difficult at times. Back home, we have a cat who we named "Caju" (meaning cashew nut in Romanian) because when he sleeps, he curls up like a little cashew:') I miss him every day, just as much as I miss my rest of my family. That's why I thought pet sitting could bring more joy into my life while I'm here. I've loved being around animals and taking care of them since I was a child. I am a passionate dog lover with over eight years of experience caring for my own dog. Spending time with animals has always been one of the most meaningful parts of my daily life. I go on regular walks, enjoy running with dogs, and truly love getting fresh air outdoors with them. Being active and attentive helps me understand each dog’s personality, energy level, and needs, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

Mijn naam is Thijs Peters, 23 jaar en woon in het centrum van Groningen. In de tijd dat ik nog bij mijn ouders woonde heb ik altijd een leven met honden gekend. Nu ik het huis uit ben en op mezelf woon is het niet handig voor mij om zelf een viervoeter in huis te nemen maar ik mis het wel enorm om een rondje te wandelen of te spelen en knuffelen. Ik zie dit platform als een mooie manier om mijn hart voor honden in te zetten. Zo kan ik baasjes helpen waar nodig en zelf ook even genieten van het gezelschap van een viervoeter.
Bij mijn ouders heb ik 13 jaar lang mogen genieten van Sammie, Sammie was een westie die mijn hele jeugd mijn beste vriend is geweest en door hem heb ik mijn hart voor honden ontdekt.&nbsp;
Door de jaren heen hebben wij als gezin korte periodes honden opgevangen uit het asiel voordat ze een huisje hadden gevonden en hebben wij voor de honden van vrienden en kennissen gezorgd als zij dat even niet konden.
Kortom, ik hoop op deze manier weer wat meer hondenvrienden te maken en baasjes te helpen waar mogelijk



I am currently living abroad and I miss being around animals. I am from Ireland, currently studying my masters in Hanze (sustainable energy system management). I am here for 6 months and would love to be get to know your pet!
I have previous experience walking dogs, where I walked two large dogs 5 days a week. 
Growing up surrounded by dogs, I developed a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors. I rescued my current dog from an animal shelter when he had a broken leg. My experience caring for a sick and injurered pet, ensures the safety and happiness of every dog under my care. I also have experince training. I have trained my current and previous dogs basic commands as well as off lead walking and strong recall. I am confident walking stronger breeds such as labs, boxers etc. I often walk my friends two french bull dogs when they go away. My previous rescued dogs include = lab/collie, labradoodle, beagle/lab and boxer. 
I worked in a dog groomers part time during school. I had to handle small and large dogs to wash, trim and cut nails. I dealt with friendly and not so friendly dogs during this time and am confident with a range of breeds and manners. 
In my spare time I enjoy hockey, running, horse riding and knitting.

Although this is my first time signing up for a pet-sitting app, i'm a professional  pet sitter of the craziest, funniest and most pig-like dog (Ligi) back home in Slovenia and the cutest, fluffiest kitties (Tatjana, Pikachu, Lojze); so more like pets, dogs and cats and other house-animals feel like a part of family to me.
And if I can't bring the fluffy part of my family with me here in Groningen, I'm already excited to meet YOUR pet-part-of-the-family and provide them with as much love, as many hugs and cuddles and as many walks as i can :)&nbsp;
I am usually available the whole day, other than three afternoons per week, when I work at my job (the exact time is known 2 weeks in advance). What I can give you as a pet-sitter is taking your little ones for a walk, and giving them care and love that they deserve!! :) However, our student housing does not allow any pets, so I would have to take care of your pets at your place / at parks. If needed, I can administer medication to the pets. When giving home visits, I can stay with the pets for as many hours as necessary, and can also provide additional care of the house, if necessary!  Since I live near many parks, there are always fun places to find with the little ones, so the walks are made as fun as possible for them, lasting up to an hour / even more if wanted.

Mijn naam is Lianne, ik ben 28 jaar en net afgestudeerd aan de kunstacademie. Al mijn projecten zijn gerelateerd aan natuur, planten en dieren, dat is waar mijn hart ligt. Ik ben een biobased artist en hiervoor doe ik veel onderzoek naar natuur, planten en dieren. Daarnaast ben ik veel bezig met mijn kamerplanten verzameling. Je kan er wel meer dan 100 vinden in mijn huis!
Voordat ik aan de kunstacademie begon, heb ik een jaar Diermanagement gestudeerd. Tijdens die periode heb ik stage gelopen bij een opvangcentrum voor wilde dieren, waar ik zorgde voor wilde dieren die je in de Nederlandse natuur tegenkomt, zoals roofvogels, kraaiachtigen, herten, vossen, steenmarters en bunzingen.&nbsp;

Ik ben zelf een enorme hondenliefhebber. Mijn dag is helemaal gemaakt als ik een hond heb geaaid. Ik ben opgegroeid met grote honden en voel me hier erg vertrouwd mee. Ik vind het ook leuk om mij bezig te houden met hondentraining. Het is mijn grote droom om samen met mijn vriend Rob een golden retriever te adopteren, zodra we daar qua woonruimte en werkritme klaar voor zijn.
Mijn vriend Rob is net als ik gek op dieren, en Rob heeft zelfs iets magisch over zich heen. Zijn huisdieren worden altijd opvallend oud! Zijn kat Toby werd 25 (!) jaar oud, en konijn Bert tikte de 11 aan. Vooral met katten heeft Rob een bijzondere band; ze voelen zich meteen op hun gemak bij hem en zijn vaak niet bij hem weg te slaan.
Rob en ik wonen nu samen in een appartement in hartje Groningen, omringd door meer dan 100 kamerplanten én onze jonge kat Sok, een halve Maine Coon met een flinke dosis persoonlijkheid.&nbsp;

Hi there, my name is Ece and I'm currently a PhD student at the University of Groningen.  I moved to Groningen in 2020 to pursue my studies. One of the first things I did after moving here was to adopt a cat with my flatmate. We became proud cat parents to a lovely little boy who's now two years old. He's a smart little guy, but also quite mischievous at times!
Aside from my own fur baby, I also have a lot of experience with other animals. My family has a cottage house in my home country where we share our garden with two dogs and six cats. Sometimes, our neighbors' cats even join us, and we end up with a big group of feline and canine friends enjoying the sunny weather in our garden.
I'm motivated to be a pet sitter on Pawshake because spending time with animals is incredibly meditative for me. It brings me so much joy to see them happy and healthy, and I believe that animals have a lot to teach us about living in the moment and appreciating the simple things in life.
As a pet owner, I understand how important it is for you to feel comfortable and confident leaving your furry friends in the care of someone else. Although I don't have professional experience as a pet sitter, I have plenty of personal experience and a genuine love for animals.


Ik zal mijzelf even voorstellen. Ik ben Eva, 21 jaar oud en wonend in de prachtige stad Groningen. Hier woon ik al 3 jaar zelfstandig. Daarvoor ben ik opgegroeid in een klein dorpje in Friesland. Hier woonde ik met mijn ouders, twee paarden, een hond en drie katten. Momenteel woon ik in een appartement midden in het centrum van Groningen. Ik ben een fulltime studente HRM aan de Hanzehogeschool. Ik heb een passie voor paardrijden, hardlopen en polefitness.Ik heb altijd al een grote affectie voor dieren gehad. Als kind altijd al te vinden geweest bij de geiten van de buren, bij de paarden op stal of met de honden spelend op het grasveld. Ik ben zelf ook opgegroeid met een hele beestenboel thuis. Momenteel heb ik zelf geen dieren, maar staat staat voor de toekomst zeker wel gepland.Omdat ik al mijn hele jeugd veel omgang heb gehad met dieren vanuit huis, maar ook regelmatig op de dieren van kennissen heb gepast leek het mij super om dit nu ook in Groningen te doen. Ik ben zeer verantwoordelijk en heb ervaring met verschillende grootte en soorten dieren. Ik vind het heerlijk om buiten te wandelen en dat is samen natuurlijk het leukst!. Omdat mijn appartement niet heel groot is, en enkele verdiepingen hoog is het niet mogelijk om bij mij thuis grote honden op te vangen. Op het moment dat dit op locatie kan is het natuurlijk geen probleem :). Er zullen meer foto's volgen. Je mag altijd een berichtje sturen als je vragen over mij hebt!
