Hi there, I'm Mercy, a university student living in the NL for almost 2 years now! Originally from Nigeria but living in Groningen. My experience is particularly in cat sitting but I'm open to other animals too.
My goal as a pet sitter is to ensure that every furry friend I care for feels safe, loved, and happy while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has its own unique personality and needs, which is why I take the time to get to know each one individually. Whether your pet loves to play, needs a lot of cuddles, or prefers quiet time, I tailor my care to match their preferences and ensure they are comfortable and content.
Currently, this is my main job as I am on school holidays, which means your pet will receive constant supervision and attention.  Your pet will be well-cared for and you can have peace of mind while you're away.

P.s during the summer last year, I also helped watch my boss' house for three weeks. As long as I'm provided with care instructions I'm confident I can take good care of your pet and house while you're away :)

Services I can offer:
Overnight stay at the pet's home: Does your pet prefer to be in his or her familiar environment? Then I can also spend the night at your home, so that I can keep an eye on things at night. I will also help with emptying the litter box and making sure your pet is well feed.

Walking service: As long as a leash is provided. We can stroll around Groningen city center, or to my favorite city park, Noordenplatsoon

House sitting service: Home visits, depending on the distance, I can drop by 2-3 times per day, for 30 minutes to 1 hour, watering the plants, and bringing in the mail are of course no problem.

Hi there! My name is Nicoleta, I'm 20 years old, and I am currently studying Psychology at the University of Groningen. A year ago, I moved here from Romania, away from my family and friends for the first time. My familiy means the world to me and being so far is really difficult at times. Back home, we have a cat who we named "Caju" (meaning cashew nut in Romanian) because when he sleeps, he curls up like a little cashew:') I miss him every day, just as much as I miss my rest of my family. That's why I thought pet sitting could bring more joy into my life while I'm here. I've loved being around animals and taking care of them since I was a child. I am a passionate dog lover with over eight years of experience caring for my own dog. Spending time with animals has always been one of the most meaningful parts of my daily life. I go on regular walks, enjoy running with dogs, and truly love getting fresh air outdoors with them. I have previous experience walking dogs, where I walked two large dogs 5 days a week. 
Growing up surrounded by dogs, I developed a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors. I rescued my current dog from an animal shelter when he had a broken leg. My experience caring for a sick and injurered pet, ensures the safety and happiness of every dog under my care. I also have experince training. I have trained my current and previous dogs basic commands as well as off lead walking and strong recall. I am confident walking stronger breeds such as labs, boxers etc. I often walk my friends two french bull dogs when they go away. My previous rescued dogs include = lab/collie, labradoodle, beagle/lab and boxer. 
I worked in a dog groomers part time during school. I had to handle small and large dogs to wash, trim and cut nails. I dealt with friendly and not so friendly dogs during this time and am confident with a range of breeds and manners. 
In my spare time I enjoy hockey, running, horse riding and knitting.

Although this is my first time signing up for a pet-sitting app, i'm a professional  pet sitter of the craziest, funniest and most pig-like dog (Ligi) back home in Slovenia and the cutest, fluffiest kitties (Tatjana, Pikachu, Lojze); so more like pets, dogs and cats and other house-animals feel like a part of family to me.
And if I can't bring the fluffy part of my family with me here in Groningen, I'm already excited to meet YOUR pet-part-of-the-family and provide them with as much love, as many hugs and cuddles and as many walks as i can :)&nbsp;
I am usually available the whole day, other than three afternoons per week, when I work at my job (the exact time is known 2 weeks in advance). What I can give you as a pet-sitter is taking your little ones for a walk, and giving them care and love that they deserve!! :) However, our student housing does not allow any pets, so I would have to take care of your pets at your place / at parks. If needed, I can administer medication to the pets. When giving home visits, I can stay with the pets for as many hours as necessary, and can also provide additional care of the house, if necessary!  Since I live near many parks, there are always fun places to find with the little ones, so the walks are made as fun as possible for them, lasting up to an hour / even more if wanted.
