Animals have always been a central part of my life. Growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, birds, and even chickens and roosters, I learned from a young age how to understand their needs, behaviors, and emotions. Over the years, I have personally taken care of more than ten cats, including supporting my cat Mia through giving birth and raising her kittens. I have also cared for dogs such as Panic and Ati in my home for extended periods, ensuring they felt safe, calm, and loved while their owners were away.


My experience goes beyond the basics—I know how to handle young, elderly, anxious, and pregnant animals with patience and confidence. I’ve bottle-fed kittens, comforted scared pets during storms, monitored special diets, and maintained clean, healthy environments for every animal I care for. My approach is gentle, attentive, and grounded in empathy. Animals naturally feel comfortable with me, and I treat every pet as a member of my own family.

If you’re looking for someone reliable, nurturing, and truly passionate about animal wellbeing, I would be honored to care for your pets. Your companions will receive safety, affection, and responsible attention every moment they are with me.

My husband and I moved to the Netherlands, where I am pursuing my Master's degree and he is working in IT (after obtaining his Master's in Engineering).&nbsp;
I am a German and South African citizen. We have extensive experience with pets, having done 10+ petsits in the Netherlands and having our own cat (we both also grew up with a variety of dogs and cats including Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Jack Russells, German Shepherds, Siamese cats and Tabby cats).
We love being around animals and are familiar with the care and responsibilities involved in looking after them.&nbsp;
Our own beloved cat is still in South Africa as we just moved over and we miss her dearly. We would be delighted to care for your pets and ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.

Hoi! Wat leuk dat je mijn profiel bekijkt 
Mijn naam is Dominique, ik ben 20 jaar oud en woon in Hoek van Holland. Dieren spelen al mijn hele leven een grote rol. Op dit moment heb ik zelf 2 cavia’s, 6 katten en 2 pony’s. Daarnaast heb ik 12 jaar lang met veel liefde voor een hond gezorgd.
In juni heb ik de opleiding Dierverzorging niveau 4 afgerond. Hierdoor heb ik veel kennis en ervaring opgedaan in het herkennen van signalen bij dieren, zoals stress of ongemak. Ik ben hier altijd alert op en neem ruim de tijd, ook bij angstige dieren. Het toedienen van medicatie is voor mij geen probleem en alles is bespreekbaar.
Omdat ik thuis al meerdere dieren heb, kan ik helaas geen dieren bij mij thuis opvangen. Wel kom ik met plezier bij jou aan huis voor de verzorging van je dier. Ik ben actief in het Westland en omgeving.
Ik ben een echte dierenliefhebber en heb ervaring met verschillende soorten dieren. Elk dier is anders en verdient persoonlijke aandacht, zorg en rust.

I am a caring and reliable pet sitter with two years of experience looking after pets in The Hague. I originally started pet sitting because I missed my own dog back in South Africa and wanted to spend time with animals again. What began as something personal quickly became a true passion, and I loved building trust with both pets and their owners.
I have experience looking after both puppies and larger dogs, often staying in their homes for full days to keep them comfortable in their own environment. A typical day with me includes walks, feeding, playtime, and, of course, plenty of cuddles and attention. I always adapt to each pet’s routine and energy level - whether that means long, active walks for energetic dogs or a calm, gentle approach for shy or more anxious pets. I take the time to build trust so every pet feels safe and relaxed.
I now live in Waddinxveen and am excited to start pet sitting again. I am patient, responsible, and attentive, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am happy to follow specific routines, give updates, and ensure your pet feels comfortable and loved. As safety for the pets is our biggest priority, we only take vaccinated animals into our home. 

I've always loved animals and during my whole childhood we always had both cats and dogs in the family.As an adult, I decided to adopt a kitten 8 years ago, who is my best friend ever since then. He is fully vactinated and seems to be having the best time of his life :)Because of already having a cat, and also travelling quite a lot, I could not responsibly take a dog. However I was missing dogs' company. That's how I decided to apply for dog walking volunteer job at the animal shelter in Gouda. I walked all kinds of dogs there every week for 6 month.As I recently moved to Capelle aan den IJssel, sadly I had to give up my dog walker job in Gouda.I would be the happiest to take walks with your dog in the area. :) I am working from home on Mondays and Wednesdays, so even a lunch break walk is possible those days, or evening and mornings as well as weekends and weekdays as needed and as we agree.
