I do understand Dutch but am limited in my speaking skills. 
I'm studying psychology and as it's a full time studies, I'm studying a lot and am in class a lot. For that reason I want to get a balance in my life which I want to combine with dogs and going on a walk. I have always been in love with the nature and gods and wouldn't mind going with dogs for a long walk. I am an animal lover, in particular dogs. They show and feel emotions which is a comforting zone for me, personally. 
I haven't had a dog myself but I walked and spent time with dogs of my friends and family (as seen in the attached photos) therefore I know what to look out for and how to take care of them. Furthermore, I've cat and dog sat already here on Pawshake for more than a year now. 
Preferably, I cant take your dog at my place because my landlord has his strict rules about that place. Generally, I don't mind whether the dog is vaccinated or not.

Hi, ik ben Aurely, 22 jaar oud. Ik woon mijn hele leven lang in Sittard, dus ik ken de omgeving en een paar hondenbaasjes al goed. Mijn achtergrondSamen met mijn moeder heb ik een reactieve hond. Hij is geboren aan de andere kant van Europa en heeft zowel daar, als door degenen die hem naar Nederland hebben vervoerd veel trauma ervaren. Daarom is zijn vertrouwen in onbekende mensen en dieren heel klein.Hierdoor is mijn kennis in gezonde en fijne opvoeding voor dieren wel ontzettend ruim geworden, en heb ik veel begrip voor de reactieviteit en het vele blaffen wat we op straat ervaren. Hiervoor ben ik opgegroeid met twee herdershonden, dus ook grote "paarden" ben ik dikke vriendjes mee. Momenteel zit ik eventjes zonder werk, dus was ik op zoek naar een dagbesteding waar ik zelf ook baat bij heb. (en een andere maat poepzakje...)Graag doe ik ook zoek of snuffelspelletjes om ze ook mentaal moe te krijgen, zodat ze erna thuis rustig kunnen slapen terwijl het gezin werkt of studeert.Bij thuisbezoekjes sta ik ook open voor extra taken naast voeren en even aandacht geven. Het kan natuurlijk zijn dat je dier medicatie of bepaalde verzorging nodig heeft. Zodra ik een beetje bekend ben met zijn/haar persoonlijkheid, kan ik dit ook zeker doen!

Hi, my name is Holly, I am 20 years old and currently studying psychology here in Maastricht I absolutely love animals, especially dogs. I used to own a small Bolonka Zwetna, his name was Schrubbi. I miss having a pet around and playing with them, taking them on nice walks, especially around maastricht, it's so beautiful here. I have already been a pet-sitter back home in germany, I took care of a Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Poodle) and we got along amazingly. I can take special instructions and wishes into consideration when taking care of your little one. My dog was a puppy when we got him, so I am comfortable with taking care of little pups as well as older dogs and I don't have any allergies so no limitations! I would prefer taking care of vaccinated dogs but we can discuss that on a case to case basis. I would appreciate a heads up about whether or not they are trained to walk on leashes, because that impacts where we should best make our rounds. Otherwise, I'm just happy to help and take care of your pets and let them have a good time:)

Hi! My name is Clara and I a recent graduate from Maastricht University. I am a barista at a specialty coffee place and I recently started volunteering at an animal shelter. I love crafts, specially knitting and crocheting.
Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to have a dog. My parents then decided to get a cat and I then fell in love with cats as well. Now I have both a cat and a dog of my own and I’ve never been happier. My dog, Charlie, is 14 years old now so I have some experience with senior dogs. My cat, Pucci, on the other hand, is barely a year old, so I’m also used to very active animals with more demanding needs.
I just started pet sitting for other people a few months ago and it has been so fulfilling. Since I don't have the possibility yet of adopting more pets of my own, it's really the perfect opportunity to get to take care of more pets. And plus, I just love the company they offer.
I moved into a new house with a great garden a couple of months ago, which is the perfect place for your dog to get some fresh air and have fun. I also have a wonderful couch where we could cuddle or play together. And of course we will be going on lots of walks! There are a couple of dog friendly parks around my neighborhood, which is perfect!

Hi there! My name is Kubo, I’m from Slovakia, and I’ve been studying in Maastricht for over a year now. If there’s anything I miss besides my family and the mountains, it’s definitely my dogs. Throughout my life, we’ve always had at least three dogs at home, with whom I spent a lot of my free time. In addition to having a large dog (a Hungarian Vizsla), we also owned smaller breeds like a Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, and Pomeranian.
Beyond caring for my own dogs, I started helping my uncle during the summer in a dog hotel in England when I was in my early teens. There, I looked after more than 50 dogs, which were exclusively large terriers, and it gave me a wealth of experience.

Ik ben Iris, 50 jaar.  Van kleins af aan ben ik zot van dieren.  Omdat ik thuis geen dieren mocht hebben, kon je me als kind dan ook altijd op de boerderij van de buren vinden.   Van zodra ik alleen ben gaan wonen, ben ik gaan paardrijden en heb ik twee hondjes in huis gehaald.  Nu hondjes ... :-) Mijn eerste hond was een Ierse Wolfshond en ondertussen zijn we 30 jaar later en heb ik nog steeds een Ierse Wolfshond.  Toen de dochter klein was, werd ons gezin aangevuld met cavia's, konijnen, enkele poezen, een Basset, Barzoi en een Border Terrier.  Dus door de jaren heen heb ik best wel wat ervaring opgedaan met het verzorgen van verschillende dieren.  Sommige van hen hadden extra zorg nodig, waardoor medicatie toedienen of special verzorging, mits de nodige uitleg, ook geen probleem mogen zijn.&nbsp;
Vorige week hebben we jammer genoeg plotseling moeten afscheid nemen van onze grote vriend Thorgal. Mijn man en ik hebben besloten om voorlopig eventjes geen nieuwe deugniet in huis te halen. Omdat het huis nu toch echt leeg is, willen we het de komende maanden openstellen als opvang / vakantieadres voor hondjes. Onze tuin, auto, huis en zetel zijn volledig afgestemd op het leven met grote honden. Kleine hondjes zijn natuurlijk ook meer dan wekom. We wonen in het Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen, dus kan er iedere dag in het bos gewandeld worden. Er is ook iedere dag iemand thuis. Wij bieden individuele opvangen : een hond per verblijf of max twee honden van hetzelfde gezin per verblijf.
