Top cities for house sitting in The Netherlands

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Amsterdam home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Amsterdam.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Amsterdam home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I’m looking forward to giving lots of hugs!
I’m a professional musician who travels often, which sadly means I can’t have a dog of my own. But my love for dogs is huge, and I miss the daily joy and connection they bring. That’s why I decided to become a dog sitter — to share the love, care, and attention I have to give with your furry family members.

I’m reliable, calm, and very affectionate with animals. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, cuddling, or just being there to keep your dog company, I’ll do my best to make them feel safe and happy. I know how important pets are — they’re not just animals, they’re family.

It would make me incredibly happy to be part of your dog’s life, even just for a little while. I can’t wait to meet your beloved companion and hopefully become great friends!

As a lifelong animal lover and former dog owner, I know firsthand the joy, patience, and responsibility that come with caring for pets. Having raised and cared for my own dog, I understand how important daily walks, consistent routines, playtime, and companionship are for their overall well-being. That experience taught me to be attentive to different personalities and needs, whether it’s an energetic pup who loves long walks or a more relaxed pet who enjoys gentle company.
Now, I’m excited to bring that same dedication to pet sitting and dog walking for others. I pride myself on being dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy, always treating pets as if they were my own. I aim to give pets the love and attention they deserve while giving owners peace of mind. Caring for animals isn’t just a service—it’s something I truly enjoy and deeply value every single day!

Hello!! I LOVE dogs and am very excited to pour my love over your pup!
It fills me so much to be with a pup, and I love pouring them with oxytocin when you're away. I have years of experience dog sitting all around the world, only with amazing feedback! Please write me for references.
I'll happily come stay in your space and take care of yuor dog, so that your pup will be as comfotable as possible with familiar surroundings when you're on holiday.
I'm a Naturopathic Doctor (natural medicine doctor), and I have had 3 dogs of my own and found out how to treat them naturally through massage and acupressure and other wonderful treatments. My uncle is one of the most renowned veterinary surgeons in the US and has taught me many things. I'm the kind of person you want at home with your pup when you're gone.We will chat beforehand a few times, and ultimately I would like to spend time with your doggo before you leave. I trust it will be a smooth transition. Currently I am available from July 17 to come and spend time with your dog. Let me know when you're headed away, and we can work together to find out the best possible solution. I work from home, so I'll be with your pup 24/7 and take them with me whenever I leave the house. They'll have the best summer-camp-like experience imaginable!

I've been in love with dogs since I was a child. My grandparents had tenall together, in the big garden. And also chickens, ducks andbeautiful rabbits!
I am Italian, I am 48 years old, I love to cook, it was also my job! Ilike to paint and create jewelry, I love photography and take longwalks. I am recently in Amsterdam, with my brother and I am studying English. I have freetime so I am flexible. In my house it is not allowed to have pets, but in Italy I have my dogs and I miss them. So I could pamper yourbeloved pets when you are busy!
When I was young, I had a few cats, 4 rabbits and many dogs, big and small, all verysweet and loving! I also adopted two stray dogs (love at first sight)We played a lot, like children! With me a lot of love and pampering atwill is guaranteed!
During the day I am flexible, morning, afternoon and evening.
if you need help for your dog during the night, I can sleep at your house then in the morning I can take a walk with your dog and then I go away, but your dog cannot stay with me all day or at my house.
If your puppy needs me, I will be happy and he will be happy too. And you will have lots of photos and videos to check how much fun we are going to be!
I can walk with your dog for 30/40 minutes. If near your home there is a park I love to walk in the park with your dog. Or Around and near the water because is very relax!.
If I visit your pet at your house, the visit will be 30/40 minutes.
In general, if you need more time and you have wi-fi,we can find an agreement for more time of course.
If you need more help for your plants I can add water them and I can check your mail!
At this moment I am not available during the week end.
Before entrusting your little love to my hands, you can ask for theinformations you want and we can meet.
