Hello hello! I have family dogs of my own that live back in the US and I miss them every day. I love to spend time with animals, if I pet a dog my day is infinitely better. I love seeing their personalities and joy, taking them for walks, playing with toys or just sitting together. I'm patient, having a rescue dog that was found abandoned on the street I am familiar with their quirks and anxieties, and let them adjust and tell me what they need from me.&nbsp;
I have stayed with both dogs and cats (from 2 kittens to 4 cats) many times as a pet and house sitter, and also done visits to just check in and feed them. Obviously having my own dogs and taking care of their dog friends, I have walked multiple dogs and given them both attention so no one gets all dramatic and jealous. I have had pets since I was about 10, first a rabbit, and then dogs, including Labradors and a rescue we think is an Eskimo-Jack Russell (but who knows).&nbsp;
This may be about taking care of the animal, but honestly they take care of us too don't they? I'd love to chat about your pet!

PLEASE NOTE! 
- I am currently working 2 days a week (usually thursday Friday) in The Hague and am away from Leiden those days from 9:30/10:00 until 7ish. Sundays I usually work 12-5 in Leiden. I leave work days open as I've been able to make arrangements around it and arrive after for example or for visiting cats or cats staying at my house that has been alright.
-Happy to do pet sitting in Den Haag also but for visits/walks it is limited to Leiden area. For walks and visits I always hang out with the pet for a while rather than just pop in and leave.&nbsp;
-Open to having pets stay at my apartment upon request/discussion but  I will have at least two workdays as mentioned. Small dogs only for boarding as it is not a big apartment.&nbsp;
-Currently taking bookings up to approx one month in advance.

I have lived with dogs for 24 of my 43 years, and they have always been an important part of my life. Over the years, I have learned a great deal about dog behavior, daily routines, exercise needs, and how to make dogs feel comfortable and safe in a home environment.

In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have regularly looked after friends’ dogs while they were away. This experience has allowed me to care for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I understand that every dog is unique and deserves individual attention and care.

I work from home regularly, which allows me to spend plenty of time with the dogs in my care. Dogs are never left alone for long periods and receive regular walks, playtime, attention, and affection throughout the day. I always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special requirements.

Safety is extremely important to me. I introduce dogs calmly and carefully, keep a close eye on their behavior, and make sure they feel secure and relaxed. In case of an emergency, I remain calm, act responsibly, and contact both the owner and a veterinarian if necessary.
I only accept vaccinated dogs and I always aim to provide a safe, clean, and loving environment where dogs can feel at home while their owners are away. My goal is simple: to give both dogs and their owners complete peace of mind.
I typically provide 3 to 4 walks per day, depending on the dog’s age, energy level, and owner’s preferences. Walks usually last between 20 and 60 minutes. I am comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and energetic breeds. Although I do not have a fenced yard, dogs are always supervised and safely walked on a leash. My focus is to provide plenty of exercise, attention, and a calm environment where every dog feels secure and happy.

Hi! I’m Bob, a pet lover based in Leiden, and I’d be happy to take care of your furry friend while you’re away.
Although I don’t currently have a pet of my own, animals have always been part of my life. I had a cat in the past, and for the last three years I’ve regularly been pet sitting dogs of all sizes for friends. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy — dogs especially have a special place in my heart, and they usually feel comfortable with me very quickly.
I live in a cozy apartment in Leiden, without a garden or balcony, but I’m lucky to be surrounded by beautiful canals and large green parks, perfect for long, relaxed walks. I have a calm and caring personality, but I also enjoy being active outdoors, so your dog will get both affection and proper exercise.
I work full time but mostly from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention during the day. I’m mainly available on weekdays, and I make sure pets are never left alone for long periods.
I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and I’m comfortable with basic training and positive reinforcement. I’m good at setting gentle but clear boundaries, which helps dogs feel safe and relaxed. Of course, you’ll also receive regular photo updates, so you can travel with peace of mind.
I do pet sitting because I genuinely love animals and miss having one around. For me, it’s about creating meaningful, caring moments and making sure your pet feels at home, happy, and well looked after.
My routine will be determined on the dog's needs. If a dog walks 2 or 3 times a day I will be more than happy to do this.

I’m a 26-year-old with a super flexible schedule and a lifelong love for animals — big, small, wild, or cuddly. I grew up surrounded by all kinds of creatures and have lots of hands-on experience caring for them. 
A few years ago, I volunteered at an animal shelter in Mauritius, where I helped care for stray cats and dogs — many malnourished or injured. It taught me a lot about patience, gentleness, and giving extra love to animals who really need it.
I also passed the Attestation d’aptitude à la détention de chiens de catégorie 1 et 2, which means I’m officially qualified to care for strong or regulated breeds (pitbulls, rottweilers, etc.) — so if you’ve got a powerful pup, you’re in safe hands! I'm originally from Los Angeles and studied at the University of Washington in Seattle. Growing up, I had a wonderful dog who was an important part of my life. I was responsible for her daily care, including feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure she always felt happy and loved.
When I moved away for college, I missed having a dog around, so I began walking dogs through Wag in Seattle. It was a great way to spend time with animals while helping busy pet owners, and it confirmed how much I enjoy caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities.
In June 2025, I moved to the Netherlands and am excited to continue offering dog walking and pet care here.
