For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Groningen for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Groningen Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Groningen sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hello! My name is Shadow, I'm 20 years old, and in 2025 I graduated with an animal husbandry diploma, having experience with cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, rodents, rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, and more. I’m eager to gain more hands-on experience in petsitting, which is why I’m offering my services. I have a diverse background, having completed a 3-week internship with an animal ambulance, where I learned a lot about emergency animal care and handling. I’ve also completed a 15-week internship at a cat hotel, where I managed the day-to-day care and feeding of numerous feline guests, helping them feel comfortable and secure. And I've completed a 3-week internship at a parrot shop, giving me experience caring for birds.
In addition, I completed an incredible 10-week internship at ZA Cheetah Experience in South Africa, working closely with exotic animals, including cheetahs, caracals, wolves, lions, servals, leopards, and even hyenas. This unique experience taught me patience, respect for animals’ individual needs, and safe handling practices with both domestic and wild animals. While I primarily have experience with cats, I am also comfortable with dogs and small pets like rodents. I would be thrilled to provide attentive, compassionate care for your pets, treating them like my own!

Hi there!
I’m Matyas, a 37 year old animal lover from Transylvania, Romania, just graduated in jazz piano in Groningen. I have two dogs and two cats back home, which has given me a deep appreciation for animals. I’ve enjoyed walking my dogs along the beautiful Somes River and have also taken care of other people's dogs, turning those moments into relaxing and fulfilling experiences. I’m excited about the opportunity to bring that enthusiasm to Groningen!
I want to be a pet sitter because I genuinely enjoy being around animals and getting to know their unique personalities. I’m friendly and approachable, and I believe pets can sense that. I also prioritize their safety and well-being, ensuring they have a comfortable and enjoyable time while in my care.
I can't wait to have the chance to look after your pets and provide them with love and attention while you're away. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up surrounded by both dogs and cats, and caring for animals has always been something I genuinely love. I have 10+ years of experince caring for animals. Over the years, I've learned that every pet has their own personality, routine, and way of showing what they need.
I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. Whether I'm caring for an energetic dog who loves long walks or a shy cat who needs a little extra patience, my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.
I take the time to get to know each pet individually and follow their normal routines as closely as possible. For dogs, that can mean walks, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of exercise. I live adjacent to a wondeful large park and lots of green space, so dog walking is accessible and enjoyable. For cats, I’m happy to provide feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, attention, and companionship — while also giving them space when they prefer to be left alone. I am also experienced and happy to adminitster medication to both dogs and cats.
I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m also happy to keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is doing well.
For me, pet sitting is about much more than simply checking in. It’s about giving your pets the attention, patience, and affection they deserve and making sure they feel at home even when you’re away.

Liefs,
Floortje D

Hi! I'm a medical student with a very flexible schedule and a big love for dogs. I've grown up in a house where there were always dogs around, mostly large breeds (Napoleon Mastiff, Saint Bernard, Great Dane, Portuguese mountain dog), so l'm very comfortable with strong, active dogs.
I enjoy long walks and would love to have some four-legged company to join me. I also have a few parks close to my house where this would be possible. Now that I live on my own, I miss having furry friends around. That's why l'd love to spend time and play with your dog.
Further, there is an enclosed garden with space for dogs to play in my house. This allows them the freedom and relaxation they deserve when they are not on walks.
I have many years of experience with dogs of all ages and sizes. From playful puppies to calm seniors. I love getting to know their personalities and making sure they feel safe and happy. I speak Dutch, English, Portuguese, and Spanish, so we'll probably get along just fine
