Als vrijwilliger bij het dierenasiel doornakkers in Eindhoven ben ik inmiddels een ervaren opvangadres.
Al meer dan 10 jaar zijn met name kittens maar ook honden meer dan welkom geweest en hebben vanuit mijn opvang een nieuw baasje gevonden.
Vanaf 1 januari 2022 zijn de werkzaamheden van het asiel de doornakkers grotendeels beeindigd en daarmee dus ook de aanvoer van dieren die tijdelijke opvang en socialisatie nodig hebben.
Dit opvang werk heb ik altijd met veel plezier gedaan en ben benieuwd of er mensen op deze site zijn die ik hier mee kan helpen. Mijn voorkeur gaat uit naar honden en katten waarbij leeftijd en geslacht niet zo belangrijk zijn. Dieren met agressief gedrag sla ik over ik ben er om te helpen, niet om uw huisdier op te voeden.
Mijn voorkeur gaat uit naar honden uitlaten 1 of 2 keer per dag. Bij een klik is uw huisdier, hond of kat, ook welkom om hier te overnachten. Mocht u meerdere huisdieren hebben dan zijn ze allemaal welkom maar in principe is het privé oppas. 
Zelf hebben we een kater op leeftijd die andere gastdieren gewend is en zich dan terugtrekt tot de kust weer vrij is.
Indien er een solo opvang kat in huis is dan wordt hij socialer en trekken ze na een paar dagen gezellig samen op.
In huis en rondom het huis is er voldoende ruimte. Katten kunnen niet naar buiten in verband met de tuin die niet afgezet kan worden.
Honden kunnen in de ruime tuin heerlijk los. De tuin is goed af te schermen.
Een fijne lange wandeling in het bos is goed voor mens en dier dus daar vinden we zeker ook een match.
Dus uw hond of kat is welkom voor korte tijd of langere tijd. 

Sinds jongs af aan ben ik al gewend aan de aanwezigheid van huisdieren. Op 10-jarige leeftijd liet ik de honden uit van de buren, naast onze eigen hond. Nu ik zelf een hond heb vind ik het leuk om dit op te pakken en haar ook een speelmaatje te geven. Het is voor ons te druk om nog een hond te adopteren, dus leek het mij leuk om weer honden oppas te worden! Andere huisdieren vind ik ook fantastisch, wanneer u op vakantie gaat pas ik met liefde op. 
Ik heb een woning in het centrum van Turnhout met 3 verdiepingen, waarvan de honden een eigen kamer krijgen om in te ontspannen en spelen. Deze is speciaal ingericht voor hen. Ze zullen in een mandje kunnen ontspannen, in plaats van in een bench (tenzij hier vraag naar is). Als uw hond gewend is aan de bench hebben we deze ook in groot en klein formaat.
We kunnen een wandeling maken door het centrum heen richting het stadspark van Turnhout. Bij lekker weer neem ik optioneel de honden mee naar het hondenstrand/warandeplas in Lille (10 min rijden). Hier verblijven we dan ook minimaal een half uur, waarbij ze kunnen spelen met andere honden en afkoelen.
De honden zullen gedurende een volle dag 5 keer worden uitgelaten, waarbij elke wandeling +/- 30 minuten zal duren. Aangezien er geen tuin aan de woning grenst, gaan we naar grasgebieden waar ze vrij kunnen rond lopen en spelen met andere honden of zelfstandig. Gedurende de dag dus genoeg ruimte om te wandelen, spelen en ontspannen.

Ever since I was a child I loved the company of pets. As a 10 y/o I petted the neighbours dogs, along with our own dog. Now that I have a dog myself I want her to have a play buddy. Since it's too much for us to adopt another dog, it seemed fun to be a dogsitter again! Other pets amaze me as well, when you go on vacation I would love to pet sit for you!

My names Deanna and I am graduate student from Wilfrid Laurier University with my degree in Global studies along with International Business Management. I’m originally from Toronto, Canada and now living in Eindhoven, Netherlands. I have another animal sitting account that is popular back home called Rover for 8+ years and continue to use it out here as well where you can see my reviews but am new to Pawshake :) 
I currently work remotely for a tech company. I am a very hard working, positive, energetic individual that loves to work with all kinds of different animals. Ever since I was younger I grew up with animals of all sorts. They ranged from 5 dogs, 2 ferrets, 2 guinea pigs, 5 fish and one cat. My passion for animals started at the age of 8 when I was fortunate enough to see my white Siberian husky give birth to 3 puppies in our home. That forever will always resonate with me. Some of my other passions include working with underprivileged children as a camp counselor along with volunteering at Camp Oochigeas for kids that are affected by Cancer. Lastly, I had the absolute honor of experiencing an outreach trip in Dominican Republic where my team and I helped provide the resources to build a home for a family in need.

I’m working full time and fully remote so I will be able to be with your pet at home all day and have a pretty flexible schedule :) 
I have a safely secured patio with a grass backyard that I find has helped put the animals at ease. My apartment is animal friendly and animals are allowed to stay on bed and couch to help feel more at home.

Of course it all depends on the dogs preference or what he or she is used to. but I very much enjoy walking around quiet neighborhoods, short hikes if the dog owner says it is okay, parks &amp; the beach. Please let me know where you usually like to walk your dog and I would love to accommodate their needs to help them feel comfortable on their walks :)

Hoi dieren liefhebbers! Ik ben sinds kort begonnen met oppassen op honden en katten, samen met een vriendin van me heb ik in Amerika een korte tijd op honden gepast. Nu ben ik terug in Nederland en leek het me super leuk om het weer te doen maar dit keer alleen!&nbsp;
Zelf heb ik nu een voorkeur naar alleen katten want thuis heb ik 2 lieve katten die wel een beetje bang zijn van honden, ze zijn heel lief en schuw. Het lijkt me echt een top ervaring om andere katten te ontvangen en ook natuurlijk voor mensen die even een oppas nodig hebben denk ik dat ik de ideale kandidaat ben voor uw kattenvriendjes:).&nbsp;
Ik woon in Eindhoven, er is 1 krabpaal aanwezig, 1 grote hoekbank waar mijn katten graag "chillen". Ook is er veel loop ruimte en een balkon met een raam. Kat vriendelijk dus. Dat niet alleen, ook heb ik een vensterbank waar de katten vogeltjes kunnen spotten en naar de bomen kunnen kijken! Mijn katten doen dit heel graag en hebben de tijd van hun leven, wie weet kan ik een andere kat ook een leuke ervaring bieden voor een korte periode:). De katten gaan gaan binnen zitten, of op het balkon.
Ik ben momenteel vaak thuis en vind het leuk om samen met mijn katten lekker op de bank te zitten en een serie te kijken.
Ook kan ik bij u thuis dagelijks op uw huisdier letten mocht dat fijner zijn! Als uw huisdier meer aandacht nodig heeft, medicatie of speciale voeding help ik graag daarmee! Neem graag de benodigde spullen mee en ik zorg ervoor dat het allemaal in orde is️

I am an nature enthusiast who likes to go out enjoy the sun and I'm always up to outdoor activities. The neighborhood where I live is a very quiet and calm area, full of green places, parks and also pet specific parks. My house also has a backyard full closed where the pets can freely move.I had a dog for 14 years, his name was César. I grew you always with him and we had a very close relationship. I was able to follow his entire life. Starting when he was very active and we played a lot of football together, until when he got older and he adapted our games to seated football. Since César passed away I missed the contact with dogs or pets in general. The interaction with pets can be very trustful, since the animals react by instinct to the way we interact with them. This means that if we respect them, we can expect the same or even more respect back. At the moment I don't have the possibility of having my own pet. Therefore, I thought that would be a great idea to do pet sitting and share my love by pets while I help to take care of pets from others. The experience I had with pet sitting was always with close related friends or family. My grandmother has a small farm and in holidays I used to help her taking care of the animals, such as ducks, chicken, rabbits, dogs and cats. Also, I did some pet sitting in friend's house when they were in holidays. For example with 3 small dogs, one of them of 1 month old, which required a bit more attention and care. However my not so big experience, I am a very proactive person that is always looking for a new challenge. I aim to learn in everything I do which make me very dedicated to all the challenges I accept. I offer the possibility of taking care of your pet at my own house, taking them to a walk outside, take them to the health or beauty centers or take them to pet classes if needed.I also have a car in which I can also transport your pet.&nbsp;While taking care of the pet at my place and accordingly to the needs of the pet I can help in providing the food, play with them and taking them for a walk. The duration of the outside walks can largely vary from the needs of the pets. For more active and young pets my walks could take 1h or longer if required, with some activities and playing games. On the other hand, for less active or older pets the walks can be shorter and less challenging, with more attention on the movement of the pet during the walk.I'm a very active, motivated and interested person in learning new things.
