Top cities for doggy day care in The Netherlands

For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Oss for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Oss Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Oss sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi, I'm Janie! I'm an experienced and adaptable pet lover originally from South Africa, now living in 's-Hertogenbosch. Having grown up with dogs, cats, and horses, animals have always been a central part of my life. I deeply miss my own animal family back home, four dogs and a cat, so caring for your pets brings a genuine piece of home back to me. From high-energy pups to gentle senior animals (my own dog back home is 13!), I know every pet has a unique personality and routine. Above all, I am extremely adaptable- whatever your pet's specific routine, quirks, or needs look like, please feel free to reach out so we can tailor a care plan that fits them perfectly!
What i offer
Dog Sitting at My Home: I host your dog in my home so they can enjoy a safe, comfortable, and cozy environment while you are away.
Dog Walking (30–60 minutes): Whether your dog needs a slow, gentle stroll or an active outing, I adapt completely to their pace. As a runner, I'm also happy to take energetic dogs along for a 3 to 10 km run to burn off extra energy!
Home Visits / Check-ins (30–45 minutes): Perfect for cats or independent pets. Includes feeding, refreshing water, litter box cleanup, medication if needed, and plenty of play or quiet cuddle time at your house.
Pet Suitability & My Environment
Because I live in an apartment, I exclusively host small to medium-sized dogs for sitting at my home to ensure they have plenty of room to feel relaxed and comfortable. For outdoor walks and home check-ins, I am happy to care for dogs of any size! When caring for your pet, they are my full responsibility and absolute first priority - if I go out for a walk/quick grocery run, your dog comes right along with me so they are never left alone in the apartment.
Practical Details & Availability
I offer flexible availability for weekday and weekend walks, check-ins, and dog sitting at my home. Please feel free to contact me directly regarding daycare, home visits, or walking hours. I am fluent in English and proficient in Dutch, so please feel free to communicate in whichever language feels most comfortable for you!
Trusting someone new with your family member is a big step. Since every situation is unique, please don't hesitate to message me about any custom requests, I'm always happy to chat or meet up for an introductory walk first so you and your pet feel 100% confident!

Hello there Pet Pawrents!I am Suzette. I am 46 years old and I moved to the Netherlands from gorgeous Cape Town, South Africa in 2023 with my then 13-year-old Yorkshire Terrier/Jack Russel cross fur child Bijoux in tow. Bijoux very suddenly passed away recently, therefore I no longer have a fur child, and it's just me myself & I at the moment. I really miss having the company of a furry friend around.

I am a pet lover of note and grew up in a household with a number of cats and dogs, and also had a very intelligent rat at one stage who was called ET. Since then I have mainly looked after friends' pets and homes when needed. I am very patient and reliable and I will take care of your furry loved ones and homes as if they were my own.

I am currently working part-time with 5 hour shifts here and there, but I generally move my schedule around for me to have my off days when I have a furry friend staying overnight.

*** I am only available for house visits in areas within a 8-minute cycle from 5211GM, as I live in s-Hertogenbosch Centrum. Additional travel cost may apply for travelling further than that. ***

Suzette's services :

Dog Walking: A walk will generally last between 30 - 45 minutes, and there are a number of scenic routes to choose from in Den Bosch. My Dutch is currently at level B1 and I would be happy to address your dogs with Dutch commands if required.
EUR15 per walk (additional EUR10 applicable per additional dogs).

Overnight Dog Boarding: I offer overnight boarding for a maximum of 2 smaller dogs up to 10kg.
EUR35 per night (additional EUR15 applicable for additional dogs). *** Collection on the last day to be before noon, but alternative arrangements can be made for a later pickup subject to a potential additional charge. ***

Doggy Daycare : I offer doggy daycare for smaller dogs up to 10kg from 6am - 6pm, but alternative hours can be arranged. (Daycare needs to be pre-arranged, as I work part time with a fairly flexible schedule)
EUR25 per day (EUR10 per additional dog)

House Visits (Dogs/Cats) : Visits will generally last between 30 - 45 minutes. I will feed, water and clean up after your pets where needed and spend time playing with them to ensure they get enough attention. You can let me know if you would prefer for me to spend time with your pets at home, or to take them on a short walk instead. I'm also happy to administer medication to your pets orally where needed.
EUR15 per single daily visit. EUR30 for 2 visits per day (additional charges may apply depending on the number of pets and or needs)

House sitting (24 hr): This will cover all the usual services, and as I am a homebody your furry loved ones won't be left home alone for too long. I sorely miss my tropical garden and will be more than happy to take care of your plant babies as well.
EUR40 per day (additional R15 per additional pet, negotiable depending on the number of pets and house sitting ends at noon of the last day).
I fully understand that some pets might need a bit more time and patience for them to get used to a stranger. I am happy to pop by for a meetup and visit beforehand, or you are welcome to visit my home if they will be staying over with me.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to looking after your fur children soon!
*** Please note that seasonal rates will apply between 15 DEC 2026 until 11 JAN 2027. ***

I love dogs, but at the moment I cannot have one of my own. That’s why I really enjoy helping others by walking their dogs or looking after them when they need support.I recently moved to Nijmegen and I enjoy spending time outdoors, so dog walking is something I truly enjoy. My walks are usually between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the dog’s needs and energy level. I am available on weekday mornings. I enjoy walking in green areas and quiet neighborhoods where dogs can explore safely. When I meet a dog for the first time, I take time to let them get comfortable with me and approach them calmly. I am patient and gentle, and I always pay attention to the dog’s behavior and needs. I am also happy to walk energetic dogs, as well as slower walks for older dogs. If you have a puppy, I am happy to follow your instructions and routines. Apart from my own puppies,I have previously cared for dogs of my friends and family too.Your dog’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I make sure dogs stay on the leash where necessary, avoid busy roads, and always keep a close eye on them during walks.I am still learning Dutch, so I mainly speak English for now, but I am improving every day. I am happy to communicate in English and make sure both you and your dog feel comfortable.

If you need someone reliable and caring to walk your dog or keep them company, I would love to help!

Hello,

I’m Özlem!

I really love animals and I have had pets since I was 10 years old. I am 30 years old now and I have been living in the Netherlands as an expat since January 2025. I am married, and my husband loves animals just as much as I do. We live with our two lovely cats.
I work remotely from home, so I have plenty of free time to play with your pets and take good care of them all day long. I have a lot of experience looking after both dogs and cats.
For me, pet sitting is not just a regular job. Spending time with animals makes me truly happy and brings me great peace. Giving them a safe, comfortable, and loving environment is very important to me.
If you want a reliable, loving, and responsible pet sitter, I would be very happy to look after your little friend!

Hallo!
