For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Noordwijkerhout for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Noordwijkerhout Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Noordwijkerhout sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

EN/NL are both perfectly fine when reaching out :)
Background
Hi!
I am a 32 year old professional who works full time (from home) and an experienced pet owner and volunteer (stichting Wereldhonden) who has always had pets growing up. I am also currently the proud dog dad to Basil - a super friendly brown Lab.
Through volunteer work I've got experience with boarding and lodging anxious/traumatised dogs and socialising them to life here as they go through the adoption process so feel free to ask more about that. Also quite some experience with training (puppy) dogs.
Walks
I walk on average 5-6km per day with my own dog and we go out 4 times per day.
2 walks are short walks around 30 minutes and 2 walks are longer usually between 60-90 minutes including some time in an off lead park to allow socialisation with other dogs.
Walks always include an element of training (sit/stay/focus on walker, pull correction, sitting when waiting to cross the street etc) and play (fetch and play with other dogs).
I have multiple (fenced) off lead fields near me within 10-15 minutes walk and also one off larger off lead park which isn't fenced.
I like to use on lead walk time to also do some light training (attention to walker, stopping before crossing, sit/stay etc)
Training
Having followed multiple basic and intermediate training courses with my own dog and as a volunteer foster dad for dogs acclimatising to NL from abroad I am happy to discuss how I could help in basic training while taking care of your pet
Home
I live in an apartment that is 80+ square metres with a lift and plenty of open space (including a balcony) with a park literally in front of my building.
I don't have any housemates so it's just me, Basil (my brown Lab) and potentially your pet :)
I work full time but from home and have the flexibility to plan my day around walking and caring for my own dog.
Special needs
As mentioned through volunteering as a foster family I have experience with dogs with behavioural challenges and I am happy to discuss any special attention your furry friend may need.
I am also comfortable and experienced in administering medication in multiple forms if need be.
Other info
I have my own car so often take my own dog to the beach or other nature areas. I can also help with drop offs or pick ups if need be.
Please note I do this as I am passionate about animals and enjoy their company. I have a dog already and also enjoy seeing him playing with others. It's therefore critical for me (and you) that there's a good click and we feel comfortable therefore I always meet my potential guests together with my dog to get to know each other and make sure we're a good match :)

Hi! I’m Bob, a pet lover based in Leiden, and I’d be happy to take care of your furry friend while you’re away.
Although I don’t currently have a pet of my own, animals have always been part of my life. I had a cat in the past, and for the last three years I’ve regularly been pet sitting dogs of all sizes for friends. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy — dogs especially have a special place in my heart, and they usually feel comfortable with me very quickly.
I live in a cozy apartment in Leiden, without a garden or balcony, but I’m lucky to be surrounded by beautiful canals and large green parks, perfect for long, relaxed walks. I have a calm and caring personality, but I also enjoy being active outdoors, so your dog will get both affection and proper exercise.
I work full time but mostly from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention during the day. I’m mainly available on weekdays, and I make sure pets are never left alone for long periods.
I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and I’m comfortable with basic training and positive reinforcement. I’m good at setting gentle but clear boundaries, which helps dogs feel safe and relaxed. Of course, you’ll also receive regular photo updates, so you can travel with peace of mind.
I do pet sitting because I genuinely love animals and miss having one around. For me, it’s about creating meaningful, caring moments and making sure your pet feels at home, happy, and well looked after.
My routine will be determined on the dog's needs. If a dog walks 2 or 3 times a day I will be more than happy to do this.
I’d love to meet you and your pet, feel free to reach out anytime!

Hi, I'm Shambhavi, 27 years old, from India. I’ve always loved dogs—and honestly, I’ve often preferred the company of cute pets over humans, haha. Back home, I have a beautiful golden retriever named Boon, who is now 8 years old. He’s currently being cared for by my parents while I’m in the Netherlands for my education, and I truly miss having him around.
Since I can’t have a full-time pet right now, I decided to share my love for dogs by working as a dog sitter. I offer services such as dog walking, home visits, and house sitting, and I’m happy to adapt based on your dog’s needs and routine.
I’m usually available on weekend afternoons, evenings, and public holidays. For walks, I typically offer 20–25 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on your dog’s energy level. I can take them to parks, open spaces, or nearby canals for some fresh air and exercise. I’m comfortable caring for both puppies and senior dogs.
I also offer 2–3 hour home visits, during which I can spend quality time with your pet, and even help with small tasks like collecting mail or watering plants. For house sitting, I’m flexible with time and will follow your instructions carefully—whether that includes feeding, walking, or simply keeping your dog company.
I understand how important your pet is to you, and I’ll make sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for, no matter their age or breed. Language: English/basic Dutch

Hi, I'm Leah, a Paramedic and new to the Netherlands :)
I love animals, and have 3 of my own cats at home. I volunteer at a local shelter here in Leiden and have plenty of experience with medication management and first aid, if needed. I'd love to help you out with all your pets' needs or simply look after them whilst you are away! I work from home part-time only 2 days a week, so I'm very flexible to attend most days and evenings. I make sure to send regular photos and videos to you of your furry friends, spend time playing with them if they like this, and ensure their everyday needs are met.I have over 10 years of pet-sitting experience in the UK and am using pawshake to build a client base here int he Netherlands! I already have 5 clients through other recommendations - please see some of their reviews below: "Leah was absolutely fantastic with our pets. From the first meeting, it was obvious that she genuinely loves animals and our pets took to her straight away. She kept us updated throughout our trip with lovely photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. Everything was exactly as we left it when we came home, and our pets were happy, relaxed and clearly very well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Leah again!" "We were a little nervous about leaving our pets while we went away. We received regular updates and photos, and it was lovely to see how happy they were"Services I offer:- Home visits of up to 30 minutes (once or twice a day) ️. This includes food, medication, litter trays and some quality time with your pets. I will also water plants and collect packages for you if needed.- Dog walking ‍🦺. Your dog will receive at least a 30 minute walk (usually longer). I can do this once or twice a day. - House sitting . I come to your home to spend time with your pets for longer periods. (Please note, the €25 option does not include overnight stays, I come during the daytime and work from your home so that I am with your pets through the day but I return to my own place in the evening/overnight. For overnight stays there is an extra charge and costs €35 per day.)- Pet hotel . You can bring your pets to my home (we have a large house in valkenburg with a garden and run a cat 'hotel' and doggy daycare style accommodation). Here the cats would have their own room away from my own pets, and any dogs would have access to the garden for most of the day. Your pets will need to be de-flea and de-wormed with no conditions that may be contagious (FiV, FLeu, e.t.c) to qualify for this service. Please note - dog walking is a separate service, and not included as standard in the home visit, pet hotel and house sitting options. If you have a dog as part of your family, please make sure to book walking as an addition if you require it. Thanks!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out :) you're welcome to book me through this platform or directly on +447950581593. I always advise a meet and greet first with any petsitter to ensure you are happy with their services and your pets get a chance to interact with us before your departure ️
I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Aangenaam!
