Hello everybody. My name is Giulio, I am an Italian guy living and working in Amsterdam.&nbsp;
I grew up always having pets, in particular medium and large size dogs. In Italy I have 1 weimaraner called Luna and 1 setter called Toby. These are dogs that require a lot of attention and physical activity. And I really enjoyed spending my time with them.
I have experience with a wide range of dog breeds, from small/medium size (dachshunds, cockers, cavalier king) to big size dogs (setter, rottweiler, hauntin dogs). Since I have past solid experience as a dog trainer I can also handle and take care of dog breeds that are restless and difficult to manage.&nbsp;
I can walk all kinds of dogs ( more than one ) and I'm strong enough to manage them properly. I can also do home visits to keep your dog or cat occupied during the day. I can provide free extra care to ensure to your pet a nice and clean stay even without you. I am very flexible with timing and I can reach every place in Amsterdam and surroundings since I have a scooter.

I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have been a regular cat-sitter for friends for years, so being around animals feels completely natural to me. I’m originally from the UK and have lived in Amsterdam for the past seven years, where I’ve become my friendship group’s first port of call for both dog and cat sitting. Whether it’s long, calm dog walks or spending quiet time with a cuddly cat, I genuinely enjoy the company and care involved.
I live on the ground floor in Amsterdam West, within easy walking distance of both Westerpark and Vondelpark, which are perfect spots for regular walks, playtime, and fresh air. I’m reliable, gentle, and responsive, and I’m happy to send updates, photos, or videos while you’re away so you feel completely at ease. Enorme dieren en kinderlief hebber die helaas alleen woont en geen huisdier kan nemen! Ik ben gek op tijd met mijn neefje en nichtje spenderen en een van onze favoriete bezigheden is dan ook naar de kinderboerderij gaan. Knuffelen met de konijnen daar is groot favoriet. Zeker gezien ik zelf ook jarenlang een tam konijn heb gehad die zo liefdevol werd opgevoed dat het meer een hond was dan een konijn! Mijn werk richt zich op de mentale gezondheid van patienten en cliënten verbeteren en mijn achtergrond ligt dan ook in de GGZ. Mijn empathische zorgzame karakter sluit dus uitstekend aan bij huisdieren!&nbsp;
Daarom vind ik het ook enorm jammer geen huisdier te hebben maar ik vind dat dieren alle liefde en aandacht verdienen! Ik voel me dan ook enorm dankbaar dat er services zoals Pawshake bestaan die een oplossing hiervoor kunnen bieden! Ik ben sinds kind al gék op dieren en al mijn vrienden hun huisdieren zijn dan ook altijd welkom bij mij.&nbsp;
Iedere vakantie logeerde er wel een kat bij mij maar nu er meer kinderen bij zijn gekomen blijven ouders toch wat vaker thuis. Ik mis de logeerpartijtjes en de gezelligheid van een huisdier in huis dan ook en daarom heb ik me aangemeld bij Pawshake. Ik geniet enorm van dagen op de bank met een kop thee en een dekentje en de weken/dagen dat er een kat bij mij logeert zijn dan ook rijkdom dagen voor mij!&nbsp;
Wanneer jouw kat of hond bij mij op bezoek komt, zal hij/zij aan niets tekort komen en verwend door alle aandacht weer thuis terugkomen! Alle soorten katten en honden zijn welkom bij mij. Het liefst een echte kroelkat maar ook een verlegen kat is welkom. Zindelijkheid is wel een must. Een hond of kat mag een paar dagen maar ook een paar weken logeren bij mij. Ik ben in principe altijd in amsterdam op een paar weken per jaar na maar dit zal goed te plannen zijn in overleg. Dus! Heb jij het gevoel dat jouw kat dit enthousiaste oppasbaasje kan gebruiken?   Over je diensten:
  
    Wat is precies inbegrepen bij de diensten die je aanbiedt?
  
  Mocht het nodig zijn ben ik bereid medicatie toe te dienen en kan ik de basis vachtverzorging doen. 
  
    Waar en hoe vaak ga je wandelen met je gasthonden? Ik pas voornamelijk op in mijn huis op katten. Als ik een hond als dienst aan neem dan zou ik in het Vondelpark met de hond gaan wandelen of in het Westerpark. Beiden parken liggen op 10 min loopafstand voor mij.
    Hoeveel honden neem je maximaal per keer in huis? Maximaal 1 hond, het liefst een kleine hond gezien mijn kleine appartement.
    Hoe lang duurt een hondenwandeling? Alles kan! Van 10 minuten tot uur per keer. 2 parken om de hoek. 
    Hoeveel tijd heb je dagelijks voor je gastdieren? Vanwege mijn eigen bedrijf werk ik veelal vanuit huis. Ik heb dus gedurende doordeweekse dagen hele dagen tijd om met je huisdier te spenderen en zal mijn agenda hier ook op kunnen aanpassen wanneer ik toezeg. Oppaswerk past dus uitstekend bij mijn eigen bedrijf :)&nbsp;
  
  Over je beschikbaarheid.
  
    Werk je of studeer je thuis of buitenshuis? Ja ik werk vanuit huis 4 dagen per week. 1 dag per week ben ik niet beschikbaar en werk ik buitenshuis. 
    Ben je beschikbaar voor 24/7 verzorging? Ja, ik kan 24/7 verzorgen wanneer dit nodig is. 
  
  Over je woning.
  
    Heb je huisgenoten? Ik woon alleen en heb geen inwonenden huisdieren. Lekker rustig voor je diertje dus en veel aandacht!
    Waar mogen de gastdieren in huis verblijven en slapen? De kat of hond mag slapen in de woonkamer of in de gang als hij/zij dat liever heeft. Slaapkamer blijft als enige gebied waar huisdieren niet mogen slapen. Mogen overdag wel op bezoek komen in de slaapkamer.
    Als je een tuin hebt: vertel er iets over. Is de tuin veilig omheind? Er is geen mogelijkheid om naar buiten te gaan helaas voor de logerende kat of hond. 
  



I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. On my dad’s side, my grandparents lived in the countryside and always had dogs—at one point, they had three! I spent a lot of time there helping care for them. On my mum’s side, my grandmother had two cats that I used to feed, play with, and look after when we visited.

My first personal dog, Candy, joined our family when I was just 2 years old, and later came Frank, who grew up with me. Since moving to the Netherlands, I really miss having animals around. That’s why I’ve started helping friends and neighbors take care of their pets, from daily walks to feeding and cuddles. I’m used to following routines, including special diets and giving medication when needed.

Hello! My name is Ilana, and I moved from California to Amsterdam in 2019 with my husband Aaron and senior dog Ginger. We love living here and have made so many friends -- both human and dog ;) -- over the years at Sarphatipark.&nbsp;
After living the fullest and best life a rescue dog can have, last year Ginger passed away from old age. We've taken some time to grieve, and now we are feeling ready to welcome new dogs in our home before we adopt again soon.
About us: Aaron and I absolutely love dogs. Both of us grew up with family dogs and began volunteer work with rescue organizations in San Francisco after grad school. For nine years before moving to Amsterdam we did everything from dog walking, adoptions, admin, and, much to Ginger's dismay, fostering 20+ dogs in our home. We have experience with all breeds and sizes, but I do prefer dogs that are 15 kg or smaller. My schedule is extremely flexible at the moment, which means I have lots of time to hang out with your dog.
About our home: We own our apartment which is on the third and fourth floors of our building. Therefore we need your dog to be good with all kinds of stairs. (See photos for reference.) Our building does not have the best sound insulation, so we cannot look after dogs who are very vocal. We have an enclosed roof terrace so your dog is welcome to enjoy the sun with us, and, of course, we will never leave them outside unattended. We also require that your dog is fully housetrained.
What we offer: I'm happy to do daytime care at your place or ours, overnight care at our apartment, and dog walking. (If your dog loves a good long dog walk, your dog will love me!) I know how difficult it is to trust someone to look after your pet, but I promise to give your dog all the love and attention it needs to feel comfortable with us. We will only look after one dog at a time to make sure we're giving the best kind of care.

I got to take care of my British shorthair cat named Kedi for many years, before I moved to Amsterdam 5 years ago for work. I currently work from home as a project manager. Despite my current inability to have a pet of my own here due to my travels and work, my heart longs for the joy of connecting with animals. 
I live in a 2-kamer (1-bedroom) apartment that is very central and accessible in Amsterdam, close by to greenery. I don't have any pets in my home.

- One house visit is between 30 min and one hour.

Hi! I’m someone who genuinely loves being around dogs and animals. I have experience taking care of dogs from my own family and friends. I used to regularly take care of my grandma’s dogs, including walking them, spending time with them, and helping with their daily routines. I have also looked after my friends’ dogs, sometimes staying with them and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away.

Because of this experience, I’m very familiar with dog walking, feeding, playing, and making sure they feel comfortable throughout the day. Al mijn hele leven maken dieren mij blij!! Vanaf jongs af aan had ik altijd huisdieren om me heen.
Voor mij zijn dieren niet zomaar huisdieren; ze zijn echt een deel van de familie. Het idee dat ik een hond kan uitlaten of een kat kan knuffelen en ze een fijne tijd kan bezorgen, maakt me heel blij. Ik wil ervoor zorgen dat dieren zich altijd veilig, gelukkig en geliefd voelen, ook als hun baasjes er even niet zijn.
Ik heb een eigen bedrijf en werk veel vanuit huis, dus ik vind het heerlijk om even naar buiten te gaan en een frisse neus te halen met een hond tijdens een wandeling tussendoor. Het is voor mij de perfecte manier om mijn hoofd leeg te maken en wat quality time met een hond door te brengen.

Having grown up with a little West Highland Terrier/ Poodle mix and dog sitting for friends when I can, just getting the chance to pet one never fails to be the absolute highlight of my day. Whether it be a customer's dog when I'm at work, one sat under the table next to me at a cafe or even just walking past...my focus will always be shifted to them and I will never skip the chance to give them a little cuddle! I am careful, caring, trustworthy and have always been good with dogs.&nbsp;
I just got back to Amsterdam from working in the French Alps, during that time I regularly walked and looked after my friend's fox terrier. He was quite a fiesty dog but I was able to keep calm and comfort him during his outburts whilst remaining firm with him. I looked after him for a full week and got to really know his manerisms so if you also have a nervous or tempermental dog, I am able to adjust my energy and aproach to suit their needs.&nbsp;

My motivation to be a pet sitter stems from my deep love for dogs and the joy they bring to everyday life. I currently have two rescue dogs, PJ (Pedro Jorge) and Matilda, who have been part of my family since 2020. They were both adopted from the streets in Brazil and are the love of my life. At the moment, they are still in Brazil, where they are receiving excellent care until they can join me in the Netherlands. I miss them every day, and caring for other dogs helps me stay connected to the companionship and happiness that dogs bring.
I am a responsible, caring, and attentive person who understands that pets are family members. Through my experience with PJ and Matilda, I have learned the importance of exercise, routine, patience, affection, and safety. I offer 30-minute walks and adapt each outing to the dog's needs and personality. For safety, I keep dogs on a leash and prefer walking in parks, green areas, and nature spaces where they can maintain a comfortable distance from people and other animals until I get to know them well.
Having cared for rescue and stray dogs, I understand that some dogs can be insecure, sensitive, or require extra patience and reassurance. I am happy to care for dogs of different temperaments, but I do not accept aggressive dogs without proper training. Whether your dog needs a walk, companionship, or loving care while you are away, I will treat them with the same kindness, respect, and attention that I give my own dogs. For the safety and well-being of all animals, I prefer to care for vaccinated pets.&nbsp;
