Hi! Thanks for reading my profile - my name is Kate and I've been an advocate for caring for pets for a total of 33 years! I was lucky enough to grow up with hamsters, rabbits, Guinea pigs, cats and dogs! 
Learning how to care for animals and being in touch with their needs brings me so much joy. I feel we are so lucky to have pets and animals all around us and it's an absolute pleasure to be able to take care of them and have them in our lives! 
My motivation for joining pawshake comes from my deep love for animals but also for my love of taking care and helping others. In my teens I volunteered at a dog walking centre and a cattery where cats stayed during their owners holidays. 
I have many friends with pets and joining them on walks, or for cuddles with cups of tea are special moments I'd love more of in my day to day! I also love being outside and taking in nature and our surroundings. 
I live with a friend in Rotterdam who also grew up with dogs. We have a large fully fenced lush garden and live over two floors. With an open plan living kitchen and dining and a cosy large bedroom on the ground floor, I can guarantee your furry friend will never be out of sight or without company! 
I am easy going, patient and kind. I also have a flexible schedule and know many beautiful spots and ways to keep animals stimulated. It would be a pleasure to meet you and your furry friend 🦮‍🦺

Ik mocht vroeger geen hond hebben, maar dat weerhield me er niet van om altijd omringd te zijn door honden. Ik bracht veel tijd door met "Wolf", de hond van de buren. De band die ik met Wolf had, vulde de leegte die ik voelde door zelf geen hond te hebben. Bij mijn opa vond ik een andere trouwe viervoeter, "Wong Wong", waarmee ik een diepe vriendschap deelde. Deze hond was zo gehecht aan mij dat hij me na een avondje uit vaak bij een kruispunt vlakbij huis opwachtte om me gezelschap te houden op de weg terug.
Daarnaast heb ik met veel zorg en toewijding hamsters opgevoed en veel ervaring opgedaan met het oppassen op honden van vrienden en familie. Hierdoor weet ik hoe ik dieren de aandacht en zorg kan geven die ze verdienen. Omdat ik zelf mijn werkplek mag uitkiezen, werk ik de gehele dag thuis wanneer ik uw hond(en) op bezoek heb en daardoor heb ik 24/7 tijd voor uw hond.
Ik woon in een gezellig appartement op 3 hoog zonder lift (zie foto) in Rotterdam. Er is een balkon aanwezig, maar vanwege de veiligheid ga ik liever met de hond een rondje lopen dan dat hij op het balkon staat. Vanwege de ruimte heb ik een limiet op de grootte van de hond, omdat ik de hond zoveel mogelijk bewegingsruimte wil bieden. Bij logeren slaapt de hond in de woonkamer.
De aangeboden diensten zijn:

  Logeren: Ik stel het huis beschikbaar, u de spullen, accessoires (riem, speeltjes, etc.) en eten. Zo voelt de hond zich vertrouwd in een nieuwe omgeving. Uw hond is nooit langer dan 3 uur alleen.
  Dagopvang hond: Ik stel het huis beschikbaar, u de spullen, accessoires (riem, speeltjes, etc.) en eten. Zo voelt de hond zich vertrouwd in een nieuwe omgeving. Uw hond is nooit langer dan 1 uur alleen.
  Hondenuitlaatservice: Bij een volle dag wordt de hond minstens 3x uitgelaten voor minstens 20 minuten. Een van de wandelingen is langer, waarbij we naar een groot park in de buurt gaan.

Omdat ik de volle aandacht aan uw hond wil geven, neem ik 1 hond per keer aan. Als er 2 honden uit hetzelfde huishouden komen, accepteer ik twee honden. Ik heb geen ervaring met het toedienen van medicijnen en bied geen training of trimmen aan. Ook heb ik liever rustige honden dan honden die speciale aandacht nodig hebben. Ik ben goed beschikbaar gedurende de dag, behalve in de nachten.&nbsp;
Wat ik uw huisdier kan bieden, is de best mogelijke zorg en onverdeelde aandacht. Met mijn liefde en ervaring zorg ik ervoor dat uw huisdier altijd de aandacht en liefde krijgt die hij verdient. Het voordeel is dat uw huisdier nooit alleen hoeft te zijn en altijd gezelschap heeft. Bovendien neem ik alleen gevaccineerde honden in huis om de gezondheid en veiligheid van alle aanwezige dieren te waarborgen. Zo bied ik een veilige en liefdevolle omgeving waarin elke hond zich thuis voelt.

I was not allowed to have a dog when I was younger, but that did not stop me from always being surrounded by dogs. I spent a lot of time with "Wolf," the neighbors' dog. The bond I had with Wolf filled the void I felt from not having a dog of my own. At my grandfather’s house, I found another loyal companion, "Wong Wong," with whom I shared a deep friendship. This dog was so attached to me that he would often wait for me at a nearby intersection after an evening out to keep me company on the way home.
In addition, I have raised hamsters with great care and dedication, and I have gained a lot of experience by pet-sitting for friends' and family's dogs. This has taught me how to give animals the attention and care they deserve. Since I can choose my workplace, I work from home all day when I have your dog(s) visiting, allowing me to dedicate my time to your dog 24/7.
I live in a cozy apartment on the second floor without elevator (see photo) in Rotterdam. There is a balcony, but for safety reasons, I prefer to take the dog for a walk rather than leave it on the balcony. Due to space limitations, I have a limit on the size of the dog, as I want to provide the dog with as much room to move as possible. During sleepovers, the dog sleeps in the living room.
The services offered are:

  Boarding: I provide the home, and you provide the items, accessories (leash, toys, etc.), and food. This helps your dog feel comfortable in a new environment. Your dog is never left alone for more than 3 hours.
  Dog Daycare: I provide the home, and you provide the items, accessories (leash, toys, etc.), and food. This helps your dog feel comfortable in a new environment. Your dog is never left alone for more than 1 hour.
  Dog Walking Service: For a full day, the dog is walked at least 3 times for at least 20 minutes each. One of the walks is longer, during which we go to a large nearby park.

Because I want to give your dog my full attention, I only take one dog at a time. If two dogs come from the same household, I will accept two. I have no experience administering medication and do not offer training or grooming. I also prefer calm dogs over those that need special attention. I am available throughout the day, except at night.&nbsp;
What I can offer your pet is the best possible care and undivided attention. With my love and experience, I make sure your pet always receives the attention and affection it deserves. The advantage is that your pet never has to be alone and always has company. Additionally, I only accept vaccinated dogs to ensure the health and safety of all animals present. This way, I provide a safe and loving environment where every dog feels at home.

Hey there! My name is Sandy. I'm a dog lover through and through. I've had dogs since I was a kid, starting with a Schnauzer, then a Dachshund, Poodle, and Pug. So, I know a bit about different breeds and sizes. Later, I fell in love with Border Collies and ended up raising a litter. Suddenly, I had four amazing dogs and a crew of friends who loved hiking and outdoor fun.
Now, I’m away from my furry family while I study, but I miss the doggy love and want to share it with others. I’ve got experience training dogs and handling a big group of them on adventures, as you can see in my photos. I’d love to help your pup get the exercise, attention, and care they need. Saying hi to dogs in the streets really brightens my day, and I would love to get a bit more time with furry friends.

Mijn naam is Demi en ik bied betrouwbare en liefdevolle zorg aan voor jouw huisdier(en). Of je nu een hond, kat, konijn of een ander klein huisdier hebt, je kunt op mij rekenen om ze de aandacht en zorg te geven die ze verdienen. Daarnaast bied ik ook een uitlaatservice aan voor honden. Uitlaten is 30 minuten maar dit kan in overleg korter of langer! Ik doe dit in de buurt van uw woonplaats (in de buurt gelegen parken of bossen). Ik heb een auto dus ik ben flexibel! 

Wat kun je van mij verwachten?
Met 36 uur per week in dienst bij de gemeente, werk ik grotendeels vanuit huis, wat betekent dat ik erg flexibel ben. Ik kan gemakkelijk inspelen op jouw schema en de behoeften van jouw huisdier. Savonds ben ik standaard beschikbaar en voor de rest in de ochtend/avond in overleg. Of het nu gaat om een dagelijkse wandeling, een speelkwartier of gewoon gezelschap wanneer je weg bent, ik zorg ervoor dat je huisdier zich veilig en comfortabel voelt. Verder zijn al mijn services aan huis. Op dit moment ontvang ik geen huisdieren thuis ivm mijn eigen kat (die nog nooit een hond of andere kat heeft gezien). Een huisbezoek is standaard 1 uur. Mocht het langer of korter nodig zijn dan kan dat uiteraard! Hierbij kan ik ook planten water geven of de post opruimen (indien nodig ook andere taakjes). 

Ik heb zelf jarenlang katten en een hond gehad, waaronder mijn hond die epilepsie had en vrij dominant was. Daardoor heb ik ervaring met honden die sociaal zijn, maar ook met honden die wat terughoudender zijn tegenover andere dieren. Op dit moment ben ik het trotse baasje van een Pablo, een britse korthaar, waardoor ik goed bekend ben met de zorg die katten nodig hebben. 

Omdat ik veel vanuit huis werk, kan ik gemakkelijk mijn tijd aanpassen aan de behoeften van je huisdier. Of het nu gaat om een wandeling, het verzorgen van kattenbakken of het bieden van gezelschap, ik zorg ervoor dat je huisdier niets tekortkomt. In het weekend ben ik vaak buiten of in de sportschool te vinden, maar ook dan ben ik flexibel genoeg om je huisdier de zorg te geven die het nodig heeft.

What can you expect from me?

I’ve had cats and a dog for many years, including a dog with epilepsy who was quite dominant. This has given me experience with dogs that are social, as well as those who may be more reserved around other animals. Currently, I am the proud owner of Pablo, a British Shorthair, so I am well-acquainted with the care cats need.

Since I work mainly from home, I can easily adjust my schedule to suit your pet’s needs. Whether it’s walking, cleaning litter boxes, or providing companionship, I ensure your pet lacks nothing. On weekends, I’m often outdoors or at the gym, but I’m still flexible enough to provide your pet with the care they need.

Hi, I'm Gabi! 

I'm Brazilian, living in Rotterdam for the last three years with my partner and our dog, Tofu. During the day I'm mostly busy with work and Tofu, so I know how hard it can be to provide your pet with the attention they need when you are away from home. 

For that reason, I decided to start pet sitting. To help pet owners feel at ease whenever they need to leave their companions behind for a well deserved getaway.

I understand the need of a balanced diet and good walks along the day to keep their energy level in control at home. You can be sure your pet will be in good hands! Tofu is also friends with other dogs, so it is also possible to host your pet if you would prefer. 

I'm my free time I enjoy being outdoors playing beachtennis, running, sightseeing, I also enjoy yoga and cooking at home with my partner.

Hey! My name is Nina (they/them) and since moving to Rotterdam I’ve been missing being around animals, especially my cat back at home, Pelageya, a gorgeous Thai cat. That’s why I would love to meet your pets and help you take care of them while you’re away. I am very flexible with my time as I currently on a post-Master job hunt. Animals make me a happier person, so I am looking forward to meeting your pet!

I live near Dijkzigt and would be happy to meet the local cats, however I am also available in other areas of the city. I have previously owned a cat snd a dog (a doberman), so I can provide any basic care including administering medication and grooming. Upon your request and instructions, I am happy to help with everything your pet needs. I also love all other little friends, such as birds, rabbits, mice, etc. 

At the moment I have a lot of availability with no restrictions in terms of time of the day. For home visits, I am happy to keep an eye on the house (plants, mail, etc) as well as the pet. For walks, I like going for long walks in the greener areas of the city. For house sitting, I can stay overnight if needed. In general, I always respond quickly and share lots of pictures of your pets. 

We are a young couple, a dog-gentleman and a cat-lady, who have embraced the expat life in the vibrant city of Rotterdam for the past six years. The city's lively atmosphere and rich culture have captivated us, and we enjoy exploring its many parks and picturesque streets together.
