Sometimes life can get really busy and you might find yourself a little short on time to walk your dog. Luckily with Pawshake, it is really easy to connect with thousands of pet lovers and find a walker in Opheusden who is available and waiting to help you out.

All of our walkers are vetted individually and every dog walker booking is covered by The Pawshake Guarantee so you can rest easy while they spend time with your dog. Additionally, your Pawshake walker will be from your local Opheusden neighbourhood and their profile also includes reviews from other pet parents.

Having a dog walker visit during the day is an affordable and great way to break up the day and make your dog’s day more interesting. Some of our walkers walk multiple dogs at once so this service is a great way for your dog to socialise and meet other similar dogs. However, if your dog prefers to be walked alone, you can also find Opheusden dog walkers who only walk one dog at a time. That way, the walks can be completely dedicated to what your dogs want – whether is a slow walk-and-sniff or a faster paced brisk walk around the block, our Pawshake dog walkers will be happy to oblige.

We’re Elena and Rafael, a Spanish couple living in Wageningen right next to the bus station in a cozy three-bedroom apartment with a balcony. As lifelong dog owners, we understand how important it is to know that your furry friend is in good hands while you’re travelling or away from home.
Welcome to our Pet & Breakfast! Here, every dog will enjoy long walks, comfortable bedding, personalized care, and plenty of playtime in a secure and loving environment. We’re dedicated to making your pup’s stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. We can’t wait to spoil them and help them feel completely at ease! We work from home most of the days of the week.
Originally from Spain, we’ve made our home in the Netherlands and absolutely love this beautiful country and its nature. We frequently visit alpaca farms and enjoy spending time in the countryside watching animals. One of the hardest parts of moving abroad was missing our parents' dogs. Growing up, we loved grooming and caring for dogs, and we’re excited to do that again. We pride ourselves on being responsible, caring, and passionate animal lovers!

Hello! My name is Taro, and I am currently doing a Master’s degree in Animal Sciences at Wageningen University and Research. My passion for animals inspired me to choose this field of study, and I have gained professional knowledge in pet nutrition, feed formulation, and animal behavior.
Although I do not keep a pet permanently, I have over one and a half year of experience in pet sitting here in the Netherlands, including cats and dogs. During this time, I have cared for different breeds including Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and especially a Shih Tzu named Cola, whom I looked after for around six months. Cola was full of energy (you cannot imagine how such a small dog can be so energetic!), so I walked him three times a day, went jogging together, and visited the dog park twice a week. Since he was not neutered, I was always very attentive to him and other dogs played with him.
I live in a comfortable studio in Wageningen, right next to a big forest and only 300 m away from a pet park. Pets in my care will have plenty of space and opportunities for outdoor activities. As I spend most of my time studying from home, I have lots of time to give dogs and cats the love, attention, and exercise they need.

Hello! My name is Yike (Carla), a Chinese overseas student studying in Wageningen University, and I have been surrounded by dogs since I was a child. Growing up in a family that always had dogs, I developed a deep love️ and strong connection with them. Currently, I have four lovely little dogs at my home in China, and caring for them has given me many years of hands-on experience.
I truly enjoy the companionship of dogs—their presence always makes me feel happy and relaxed. I am very attentive to their needs and can quickly notice changes in their mood or health. I also love spending time outdoors with dogs, taking them for walks, and giving them the chance to enjoy fresh air and exercise.
My motivation to be a pet sitter is simple: I want to share my passion for dogs and provide them with the same love and care I give my own pets️. I accept only vaccinated pets into my home to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all.
If you are looking for a caring, responsible, and experienced dog sitter, I would be very happy to look after your beloved pet!

With real experience caring for cats and dogs, plus my own pets at home, I provide safe, attentive, and loving care — just like family. As a pet owner and someone who helps homeless animals, I bring patience, warmth, and genuine love to every pet I care for.
I have over 20 years of experience caring for cats and a strong background looking after dogs of different breeds and sizes. I currently have my own dog (up to 25 kg), so I understand daily routines, behavior, and the importance of consistent, loving care.
I am confident with basic medical needs, including giving injections and administering medication when required. I always pay close attention to each pet’s personality, ensuring they feel safe, calm, and comfortable in my care.
I have also volunteered helping homeless animals, working with different breeds and temperaments, which has made me patient, attentive, and adaptable.
You may also see my son in the photos — he grew up surrounded by animals and truly loves them. He sometimes helps me with pet sitting, always gently and responsibly.
Your pet will be treated with kindness, respect, and genuine love — just like part of our family

Hi! I'm Giorgia, and I recently moved to rhenen with my Dutch partner. I'm originally from Italy and have an international background, having studied and worked in the Netherlands.

I'm a friendly, responsible and caring person and of course, I really enjoy spending time with animals. I grew up with cats, so I've always had a special connection with them. I also have experience taking care of my partner's family for, including taking him for walks, playing with him and making sure he gets plenty of attention and care.
What I can help you with:
- dog walking: I can take your dog for a walk and give them some exercise, fresh air and attention.
- home visits: I can visit your home while you are away to feed your pets, refresh their water, spend time with them so they can have company.
- cat care: I'm particularly comfortable with cats and can take care of their daily needs, including feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning , playing and cuddles :)

I'm happy to follow your pets'a usual routine and take the time to understand their personality and needs. I'd love to meet you and your pet soon !

Hi, my name is Phoenix, I'm a 24-year-old international student at Wageningen University & Research. Back home, I'm a meowmy to my spoiled sweet cat named Chatty.
My motivation to be a pet sitter:
When I arrived in the Netherlands, everything felt so new and one thing I miss the most is my furbaby. As a cat mom for more than 6 years (and still counting!), I never imagined my life without a fur companion by my side and I felt so lonely. So I decided to be a pet sitter where I can spend more time with many furbabies and their unique personalities, to fill that emptiness. Plus, I can get some extra money ;)
My experience as a pet sitter, caretaker, rescuer, and owner:
I always love animals since I was a kid, but at that time, I didn't have a companion as my own. Then, when I was in college, I met my soulmate, Chatty, a senior house mini-panther she changed my life forever. My passion and love for animals keep growing and I started a rescue, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), and street feeding self-motivated program to stray cats and dogs around my area. From this experience, I learned a lot of new things, from how to take care of sick and homeless pets, to studying their behavior and spending more time cuddling or taking them for a walk (and not only dogs but cats, too!). I also help them search for a new home because each of them deserves a loving home
I am flexible and have a lot of free time, especially in the evening and weekends. Since I am living in student housing, I am not available to take pets into my room currently. I am open to all other services and stay-at-home service at night as well, and I'm also able to take care of pets from different sizes and age ranges.Currently, I prefer to do pet sitting in Wageningen area due to the travel time and costs.
Feel free to contact me, and I'm a fast-response person, so no worries! ️

Groetjes,
Michael
