Hello! My name is Sophia, I am from Germany but I am currently staying in Rotterdam for my Bachelor in Illustration.
I am 21 years old, and have had pets for the majority of my life. My family has two dogs in Germany, a large one and a small one- so it's fair to say that I know my way around dog/pet care. Here in Rotterdam I occasionally help older neighbors with walk their dogs, and since I love being around animals I would like to do it more often.
Apart from dogs I've also taken care of Bunnies, birds and cats, so whatever pet you have I am more than happy to jump in and get to know them! 
I am fairly flexible in terms of work hours, so whatever it is you are looking for, I can probably help you out.

The only thing I do not offer is boarding at my place. 


I have owned, walked and looked after dogs both in the UK and in The Netherlands. I love dogs. I love the walks, the cuddles, all the different personalities. I was brought up with labradors and spaniels. And have owned and bred spaniels in the UK, as well as sitting and walking various dogs both there and here in Rotterdam. I am also used to administer medicines.&nbsp; I moved to Rotterdam 3+ years ago with my now senior spaniels. We live in a very spacious place, with enclosed dog friendly garden and I have time, energy and patience to look after and/or walk all different dogs, young, senior, small, large, nervous, relaxed... I prefer to walk/visit and look after your dog&nbsp; based from your home as I can give them more time and they are in their familiar surroundings. I think dog sitting work is a real privilege and also a responsibility so I treat my work professionally and am completely reliable knowing you're putting your trust in someone to look after your beautiful dogs (I know because I always worry when someone new is looking after my dogs!) I am happy to keep you updated with messages, photos, videos depending on your preferences.&nbsp;

Dag! Mijn naam is Lotus, ik ben 28 jaar en honden zijn echt mijn passie. Vanaf mijn 15e heb ik mijn eigen hond Dorian opgevoed, een Weimaraner, en ik heb hem met veel liefde en discipline grootgebracht. Helaas is hij 1,5 jaar geleden overleden aan ouderdom. Toen paste ik ook al op andere honden en nu dus nog steeds :) 
Ik heb ruime ervaring met het opvoeden van honden, complimentjes en aaitjes geven op het juiste moment en minimale correcties zorgen volgens mij voor de beste band. Voor mij staat beweging altijd op nummer 1, ongeacht het ras of de grootte van de hond. Natuurlijk pas ik dit aan per ras, leeftijd en andere factoren. 
Wat ik belangrijk vind, is dat we kijken naar wat jij als baasje fijn vindt en wat je hond nodig heeft. 
Het komt weinig voor dat ik meerdere honden tegelijk heb, dit doe ik alleen maar als het passend is. Als er gedragsproblemen zijn, hoor ik dat graag, zodat ik hier rekening mee kan houden. In onverwachte situaties blijf ik altijd rustig en weet ik hoe te handelen. Ik werk tevens bij de dierenambulance.
Wat je van mij kunt verwachten:
- Een huiselijke en warme omgeving waar jouw hond zich direct thuis voelt.
- Alle aandacht en liefde voor jouw hond, 100% focus tijdens zijn verblijf.
- Regelmatige wandelingen en genoeg beweging, afgestemd op de behoeften van jouw hond.
- Rust, geduld en ervaring in opvoeding en omgang
Kom vooral langs voor een bak koffie of thee dan kunnen we kijken of het klikt  Hier hoeft u niet voor te betalen omdat ik het belangrijk vind om u gerust te stellen.
 Ik kijk ernaar uit om een fijne, vertrouwde plek te bieden voor je hond, dat vond ik zelf altijd erg belangrijk als ik op mijn hond liet passen.

I'm a 20 year old student and I love animals. I can walk your dog almost every day from Sunday to Friday afternoon. I'm currently on a weight loss journey too, so walking your dog would definitely motivate me to walk more!
I have quite a bit of experience with animals, because I used to walk our neighbours dog all the time (sometimes several times a day oops). I've wanted a dog since I was little, but I was never allowed to. Now I can walk your dog (which feels relatively close to owning one myself). I also ride horses if that says anything!
I love meeting new pets and animals, so if I can walk yours, please do contact me! 
It's important to me that your pet and I can have a connection. It'll be more comfortable for both me and your pet as well.
I love photography, so if you want some pictures of your pet, ask me! I really enjoy doing photography (and of course, it's free). I've always wanted to practice with dogs because of my love for them.
