Mijn naam is Thijs Peters, 23 jaar en woon in het centrum van Groningen. In de tijd dat ik nog bij mijn ouders woonde heb ik altijd een leven met honden gekend. Nu ik het huis uit ben en op mezelf woon is het niet handig voor mij om zelf een viervoeter in huis te nemen maar ik mis het wel enorm om een rondje te wandelen of te spelen en knuffelen. Ik zie dit platform als een mooie manier om mijn hart voor honden in te zetten. Zo kan ik baasjes helpen waar nodig en zelf ook even genieten van het gezelschap van een viervoeter.
Bij mijn ouders heb ik 13 jaar lang mogen genieten van Sammie, Sammie was een westie die mijn hele jeugd mijn beste vriend is geweest en door hem heb ik mijn hart voor honden ontdekt.&nbsp;
Door de jaren heen hebben wij als gezin korte periodes honden opgevangen uit het asiel voordat ze een huisje hadden gevonden en hebben wij voor de honden van vrienden en kennissen gezorgd als zij dat even niet konden.

Hallo, 

Mijn naam is Rilana. 24 jaar en een echte dierenvriend. Al zo lang als ik me kan herinneren heb ik de behoefte om dieren me heen te hebben. Ik heb dan ook zelf heel wat huisdieren (gehad) momenteel heb ik 2 katten akela en tijgertje. Dit zijn 2 half Bengaalse katten. Ook heb ik 2 konijnen. Bagheera en baloe. Heerlijke eigenwijze hangoor konijntjes. Vroeger heb ik ook agapornis vogeltjes en een hond gehad. Helaas zijn die inmiddels overleden.
Ik heb het beste voor met (mijn) dieren. Zo lopen de konijnen de hele dag los en als ik thuis ben ook vrij in de tuin. De katten hebben een speciaal kattenren en kunnen 24/7 naar buiten. 
Ik heb mij aangemeld als huisdieren oppas omdat ik graag ze vaak en veel mogelijk in de buurt ben van dieren. Vind het super leuk met ze bezig te zijn, knuffelen wandelen, spelen etc. Ook vind ik het niet erg m'n handen uit de mouwen te steken en de " minder leuke" taken op te pakken. 
Mijn hobby's zijn wandelen (waarbij ik momenteel heel erg een hond mis) fotograferen, lezen rolschaatsen en uiteraard het belangrijkste mijn huisdieren verwennen. 
In februari 2025 ben ik een maand naar het buitenland geweest en heb daar 2 weken in een wildlife reservaat gewerkt. Dit waren de mooiste 2 weken van mn leven. 
Vanaf februari ga ik de opleiding tot dierenarts assistent volgen. 
Ik heb nog niet veel ervaring met het oppassen van dieren bij anderen, maar heb al wel heel m'n leven dieren gehad en bij vrienden op de dieren gepast en bij familie thuis.

Growing up surrounded by dogs, I developed a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors. I rescued my current dog from an animal shelter when he had a broken leg. My experience caring for a sick and injurered pet, ensures the safety and happiness of every dog under my care. I also have experince training. I have trained my current and previous dogs basic commands as well as off lead walking and strong recall. I am confident walking stronger breeds such as labs, boxers etc. I often walk my friends two french bull dogs when they go away. My previous rescued dogs include = lab/collie, labradoodle, beagle/lab and boxer. 
I worked in a dog groomers part time during school. I had to handle small and large dogs to wash, trim and cut nails. I dealt with friendly and not so friendly dogs during this time and am confident with a range of breeds and manners. 
In my spare time I enjoy hockey, running, horse riding and knitting.

Hi! I'm Luciano, a 25 year old master student at the University of Groningen. From since I can remember I've had dogs, a labrador retriever and two spaniel breton (basically my kids). My daily routine was to walk them after classes, also when studying I love to have them around (yes, talking to your pet actually helps a lot if you are a study speaker like me), and since I'm a long way from home I want to continue with this routine and take care of your pet! I also love being with animals, so whether a cat or a dog (or other exotic animal) I'm more than pleased to look after him/her!&nbsp;Walking is kinda my thing, but I can also just be there if you have to go somewhere else for the weekend or just for a few hours, it doesn't really matter since I'm very used to being around pets. I usually take 40 minutes up to 1 hour walks, so they'll be pleasantly exhausted!&nbsp;I'm available on the weekends in any time range and most weekdays on the afternoon. I can be responsible to administer medications, grooming and training. On top of that, I consider myself a very responsible and organize person, so any security measures I can easily follow.&nbsp;

Although this is my first time signing up for a pet-sitting app, i'm a professional  pet sitter of the craziest, funniest and most pig-like dog (Ligi) back home in Slovenia and the cutest, fluffiest kitties (Tatjana, Pikachu, Lojze); so more like pets, dogs and cats and other house-animals feel like a part of family to me.
And if I can't bring the fluffy part of my family with me here in Groningen, I'm already excited to meet YOUR pet-part-of-the-family and provide them with as much love, as many hugs and cuddles and as many walks as i can :)&nbsp;
I am usually available the whole day, other than three afternoons per week, when I work at my job (the exact time is known 2 weeks in advance). What I can give you as a pet-sitter is taking your little ones for a walk, and giving them care and love that they deserve!! :) However, our student housing does not allow any pets, so I would have to take care of your pets at your place / at parks. If needed, I can administer medication to the pets. When giving home visits, I can stay with the pets for as many hours as necessary, and can also provide additional care of the house, if necessary!  Since I live near many parks, there are always fun places to find with the little ones, so the walks are made as fun as possible for them, lasting up to an hour / even more if wanted.

Hi there, my name is Ece and I'm currently a PhD student at the University of Groningen.  I moved to Groningen in 2020 to pursue my studies. One of the first things I did after moving here was to adopt a cat with my flatmate. We became proud cat parents to a lovely little boy who's now two years old. He's a smart little guy, but also quite mischievous at times!
Aside from my own fur baby, I also have a lot of experience with other animals. My family has a cottage house in my home country where we share our garden with two dogs and six cats. Sometimes, our neighbors' cats even join us, and we end up with a big group of feline and canine friends enjoying the sunny weather in our garden.
I'm motivated to be a pet sitter on Pawshake because spending time with animals is incredibly meditative for me. It brings me so much joy to see them happy and healthy, and I believe that animals have a lot to teach us about living in the moment and appreciating the simple things in life.

Daarom ben ik veel beschikbaar om de honden op te vangen. Daarnaast is mijn vriend echt een hondenliefhebber, dus krijgen ze genoeg aandacht!
