I can easily keep your training techniques while you are away and deal with anxious animals really well. Also I have a good experience with rescue pets and the ones that need that extra attention, as well as pets that need oral or topical medication and I love to take care of them in all ages. My name is Julie, I am 25 years old and I'm from Austria. I moved to Amsterdam to pursue my studies in Curating Art and Cultures at the UvA and VU, after having finished my BA in Art history. While I'm rounding up my Master's and focusing on writing my thesis, I'm longing for something I have missed for a long time, namely cats!&nbsp;
Back in Austria, my family had four cats - Kitty, Charly, Kimmy and Johnny - and I miss them dearly. Ever since growing up, I wanted to have cats myself, as they make me incredibly happy and are just the sweetest and coolest creatures existing. Unfortunately I'm not in the position to become a cat mom yet, but I thought that cat-sitting would be the ulitmate solution.&nbsp;
Besides taking care of my own cats (with very different "special" personalities) at home, I have also cat-sitted twice in Amsterdam. Once, I took care of Gary, a sweet cat for my roommate's friend. The owner wanted me to visit the house twice a day, to make sure of Gary's basic needs, including food, water, a clean litter box, and of course, lots of cuddles. Gary and I got along wonderfully and I still miss him til this day! My second job was to cat-sit Nala, a beautiful Maine-Coon. Besides the basic duties,  I had to give Nala oral medication once a day due to gastrointestinal problems. I took care of this cute lady for 10 days, and the owners were very happy when they came back from their visit. 
As a true cat lover, I believe I can sense a cat's temperament and I am aware of their varying personalities and moods. I would describe myself as a very honest, trustworthy and reliable person, that just loves cats with her whole heart!&nbsp;

Mijn naam is Momo en ik hou van dieren. Overdag werk ik als verpleegkundige. Ik zorg ervoor dat mensen een beter leven kunnen hebben. Maar ik wil er graag voor zorgen dat dieren ook een goed leven hebben. 
Als kind vond ik een heel klein katje op straat. Ze was erg ziek en kon zich niet bewegen. Ik heb haar naar ons huis gebracht en meteen een dierenarts gebeld. Ze overleefde het en werd ons eerste huisdier. Via haar ontdekte ik dat ik een grote liefde voor dieren heb. Later in mijn leven had ik nog veel meer huisdieren. De meeste waren dieren die tijdelijk een fijn veilig plekje nodig hadden.
Als mijn buren hier in Amsterdam op vakantie gaan, pas ik op hun katten of vogels. Ik dacht: waarom doe ik het niet vaker! Het is gezellig en leuk!

Hi! I’m Eleonora, an Italian living and working in Amsterdam. I work in Corporate Finance, and outside of work I love travelling, being active and, of course, spending time with animals.
I’ve always been an animal lover and grew up surrounded by pets, including hamsters, turtles, a cat and a dog. Having a dog for many years means I’m very comfortable around them and familiar with their everyday needs and routines. I don’t have a pet of my own at the moment, so I thought Pawshake would be the perfect opportunity to spend more time with dogs again while helping owners who need someone reliable and caring. I genuinely enjoy going for walks, playing with them and simply having some furry company around!&nbsp;
I’d love to start by caring for small and medium-sized dogs. During the week, from Monday to Thursday, I’m generally available for evening walks after work, usually between 19:00 and 21:00. Fridays and weekends are much more flexible for me, so I’m happy to arrange daytime walks, day care or longer stays depending on what you and your dog need. I’m also happy to welcome your dog into my home for overnight stays if needed.For walks, I’m usually happy to spend around 30–60 minutes outside, depending on your dog’s needs, energy level and usual routine. I enjoy walking around the neighbourhood and in nearby parks and green areas.
For day care and overnight stays, your dog would stay with me in my apartment and be part of my normal routine, with regular walks, playtime and plenty of attention and company. I would always follow the owner’s usual schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks and any specific habits. During weekends I can spend most of the day with them, while on weekdays we can discuss in advance how long your dog is comfortable being left alone so I can make sure the arrangement is suitable for both of us.
Most importantly, I want your dog to feel comfortable and at home with me, and for you to feel relaxed knowing they’re in good hands!

My name is Erick and I’m Mexican, born and raised. I have been living in Amsterdam for 3+ years and previously spent 11 years studying and working in Belgium. I am a dog lover and the official dog sitter for my friends’ dogs. I grew up with dogs so I am used to caring for them. I am an active person and I love to bring dogs on my daily walks or outdoor activities when possible. I also like to spend time at home cooking so I enjoy the company of pets at my place. My apartment building has an elevator and is close to large parks and grassy areas. I regularly take care of a Chow Chow, Australian Shepherd, French bulldog, and a Golden Retriever (photos in the gallery). 

If I care for your dog during the day, I take them out in the morning for a 15 to 20 minute walk in the park. Then, on another walk in the afternoon and a longer walk in the evening. If I am caring for them during the weekend, I can take them out for longer periods around the city and parks. In the case of older dogs, I spend more time indoors with them and I can also administer any medications if needed.

I grew up caring for two dogs of my own (one for 10 years and one for 13 years) so dogs have been a big part of my life for a long time. Because of that, I know how much they mean to their owners, and I also understand how important it is to find someone you can really trust.

What I love most about caring for dogs is getting to know their little personalities. Some dogs want to play, some just want a calm person nearby, and some need a bit more time and patience before they feel comfortable. I've been a lifelong dog lover and have extensive experience caring for dogs: I had two German Shepherds growing up and more recently, a miniature Schnauzer, Otto. He just left us, and although I'm not ready to have another dog at this time, I still love to pet sit for my friends.&nbsp;
I live with my boyfriend (who also loves dogs!) in a 120m2 home with a large fenced garden, close to Frankendael park and easily accessible through Amstel Station and the ring.We both have flexible jobs that enable us to work from home 2-3 times per week. We are generally a bit less available on weekends, but it still might work (especially for longer stays).
