My name is Erwin.

I used to live in the south (Eindhoven), but a year ago I met a lovely person who brought me to Amsterdam. So since this year I have been living here and I enjoy it on a daily. We have a new apartment at Westerpark and it's simply amazing. I love going for walks in the park. It feels like escaping the rush of the city, while remaining in the middle of that same city. 

However this joy is (for now) not shared with a dog yet, even though our residential address lends itself perfectly to owning one. I have always been a dog lover and for as long as I can remember, the dogs we've had in the past also played a vital role in my life. Their enthusiasm, loyalty and gratitude make me so happy. They kind of match my own personality to be honest :-).

I have a job which allows me to work from home 2 to 3 times a week (mostly Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays), and it would be great to have some companionship on those days (max two dogs). Going to the park together and enjoy a nice day at uncle Erwin's. You name it!

I'm currently working hybrid part-time, which leaves quite some time for long walks in nature. I'm happy to take your dog on adventures and/or training sessions. 
One of my interests lies in dog behaviour and training, which is why I'm more than happy to help you train your pup commands such as heel, leave it, no, middle, and more. I also know how to handle reactivity in dogs and can help with that. Aggression, however, does not lie within my expertise, which is why I don't accept aggressive dogs. 
Please note that I'm currently only accepting small to medium sized dogs.
I have a dog myself, a 3-year old Cocker Spaniel, not neutered but gets along well with other dogs. I'm happy to have your pup and mine introduced and take them on pack walks but if you prefer, I can take your dog on solo walks too. Day care is possible if our dogs get along well - we can test this out at a meet and greet. 
I have a car and love to take your pup on adventures outside the city, such as the beach or forest, if your pup is happy travelling.

I live now over 8 years in Amsterdam with my boyfriend and our cat.I grew up in a big house with plenty of animals around - cats, dog, rabbits and even pigs ;)&nbsp;I love and respect animals, give them the space they need and enjoy playing, and taking care of them.My family always had quite big dogs (Leonberger, St. Bernhards...) so I'm comfortable with the big boys as well. We also had 0lenty of cats in the house (semi stray and some true house cats)&nbsp;I'm truly a cat AND dog person.I have looked after the pets of friends and family so far, and thought why not help others out as well.I have a bit experience of giving medicine to cats/dogs, so that shouldn't be a problem either. I'm happy to come by your home and spend some time with your pet, make sure there is food and clean the litter. Hello, pet lovers! I'm Palak, a passionate animal enthusiast based in Zaandam. Originally from India, I have been surrounded by the joy of pets since my childhood. Though I couldn't have pets of my own due to my parents' restrictions, I found solace in caring for the neighborhood cats and dogs, nurturing a deep-rooted love for these furry friends.
My journey with pets has been heartwarming and transformational. A notable experience was during my college days in India. A newly born kitten, was abandoned by her mother, and I found her I named her Kitty, and as I nursed her back to health, my hostel mates fondly dubbed me "Kitty's Mom." This experience cemented my bond with cats.
In December 2021, I moved to Netherlands and began working as a data engineer. Although I currently don't have pets at home as my husband is slowly getting warm up to the idea of having pets, my desire to connect with animals remains strong. This led me to the wonderful world of pet sitting, where I can fulfill my wish to be around pets while helping others.

And over the years, pets (and dogs specifically) have become a huge part of what I consider "home". But since I could not bring my 2-year-old border collie on this adventure, I am searching to help others with their 4-legged family members.&nbsp;

I have extensive experience taking care of, training, and walking dogs. Back at home, I was the main caretaker of my family's border collie for the past 2 years. This involved training and agility classes with him each week, walking him daily for at least 2 hours, and maintaining his fur, nails, and teeth.---
SERVICE INFORMATION:
I am mainly available in the afternoons or in the evenings.For dog walking
I offer 30 minutes of walking your dog for 7€, longer times are welcomed, however they come with increased cost. In general, I will walk your dog in areas surrounding your residence, or you can direct me to a place where you prefer your dog to be walked. I can help you with training, provided you instruct me on your methods and preferred rewards you use. Your dog will always stay on the leash unless you specifically instruct me to let him run free in a specified fenced and safe area.
For home visits
I offer 30 minutes of visiting your dog at your residence for 10€ or longer for an increased price, multiple sessions are available, starting at 18€ per 2 visits a day. I am occasionally available before noon, so check with me for availability. I will engage with your pet for the whole duration of my visit. If your pet is a dog, I will bring him out to go potty. I can train your animal while I visit, provided that instruct me on your methods and preferred rewards you use. If needed, I can do small household chores such as bringing in the mail, watering your plants, or cleaning the litter box if you have a cat (specifics can be negotiated).---

If you need someone to check on your pets while you're away, I'm here to help! Whether your pet needs a quick visit or multiple visits during the day, I'll make sure they're well taken care of. I'll make sure they have enough food and water, play with them, and keep them happy. I'll follow your instructions carefully to make sure their routine stays the same.


Walks:

I also offer dog-walking services. I'll take your pets for a walk for at least 30 minutes, making sure they stay safe on their leash. If your pet gets nervous around other animals or in busy places, I'll be careful to avoid those situations. I want to make sure your pet feels comfortable and happy.


Additional Services:

In addition to taking care of your pets, I can also help with other tasks around your home while you're away. I'll water your plants, collect your mail, or do any other chores you need me to do.

Growing up, we first had a Rottweiler named Tar, then a small Schnauzer, Ira, and recently, my family welcomed a mixed-breed dog named Buks, which has been an exciting addition to our home. Taking care of dogs has always been second nature to me. I’ve learned to care for them from a young age, regardless of their size.In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve grown fond of cats over the last few years. While living in Amsterdam, I had the opportunity to pet-sit for two different sibling pairs of cats for 2-3 weeks each.
