Top cities for cat sitting in The Netherlands

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Westwoud Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Westwoud cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Westwoud cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! My name is Tanya, I live in Hoorn, and I absolutely love animals! I’ve had cats in my life since childhood, and I currently care for two wonderful cats of my own. I understand feline habits, personalities, and needs very well. I'm great at connecting with even the most independent or shy kitties.

I know how hard it can be to leave your beloved cat, even for a short time. That’s why I’ll do everything I can to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Feeding, playing, cleaning, and giving attention — I take care of it all with love, as if they were my own.

I’m always available for updates and happy to send photos and videos, so you can feel confident that your kitty is doing well.

Feel free to reach out — I’d love to get to know you and your cat!

Good afternoon to everyone. My name is Zuzana. I am originally from the Czech Republic but currently staying in the Netherlands. I am animal lover. I grew up with dogs since childhood and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. We used to have Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Recently one of my dog companion passed away and I miss him dearly.
I would love to take care of your animal in my spare time. I have also rescue dog and experienced how to handle rescued animals.
If your dog does not get along with other dogs it is not an issue. I am currently between 2 places and have someone who could take care of my own dog. I am offering dog boarding or I could come to your place. Looking forward to meeting your pets. I do not have training how to administer vaccination if needed but I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals.

My name is Jackeline, I am Brazilian, and I am passionate about pets. My family and I recently moved to the Netherlands for my husband’s work; we have two children, and we are all true animal lovers. I have owned cats since childhood, but my most profound experience was with Leona, a puppy we found on the street when she was only one day old. Against all odds, we raised her with endless love and dedication. I bottle-fed her every two hours, kept her warm, and provided all the stimulation and care a mother dog would. Today, Leona is a healthy, happy dog living on a farm with family friends.
Unfortunately, due to the short notice of our move, we couldn't bring our own pets—Kiara (a 7-year-old cat) and Funny (a 1-year-old dog)—just yet. They are currently with my in-laws until we can bring them to join us here. I truly miss my furry ones and promise to care for your pet with that same level of love and devotion.
Why Choose Me?
We have many beautiful parks near our home, which are perfect for long walks and playtime on the grass. Since I am currently not working outside the home, I have full availability to look after your pets during the day. I only ask that you provide the food and toys your pet prefers to make them feel at home .
You can rest assured that your dog will receive focused attention, affection, and plenty of exercise under my watchful care.

I can’t wait to meet your furry friend!

Hi there! My name is Melis, and I’ve been lucky enough to share my life with dogs for almost 20 years. Over the years, I’ve had two wonderful dogs, each with their own unique personality and needs. My most recent companion was a sweet rescue I adopted from the streets, and caring for him taught me so much about patience, love, and trust.

Spending time with animals has always been a big part of my life. I understand how important it is to feel that your furry friend is safe, loved, and well cared for—especially when you’re away. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company, I treat every dog as if they were my own.

I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m especially gentle and attentive with rescue dogs or those who might be shy at first. I always aim to create a calm, friendly environment where your dog can feel happy and secure.

Looking forward to meeting you and your lovely pup!
