Back home, I have a dog named Mila, an Alaskan Malamute who is now almost six years old. I've been caring for her since she was just two months old, handling everything from training to daily walks twice a day. My name is Joana. Ever since I can remember, I have been a passionate animal enthusiast. I grew up with pets, from birds, to fish, to dogs, cats. Ever since I moved to the Netherlands over 2 years ago (I am originally from Portugal), my housing situation does not allow for pets and I deeply miss being around animals. I figured pet-sitting could be an amazing way to fill this gap and also help others in the process!&nbsp;
In my family, we mostly adopted animals from shelters, which provided me with a lot of first-hand experience on how to tune in and bond with a pet. I have delt with animals who were young, senior, with strict medication routines, shy, reactive, active, quiet,… This taught me many things, but mainly to be patient and listen attentively, slowly learning each pet’s body language, listening and adjusting to their habits and rhythms. This process of getting to know a pet truly brings me so much joy, which is why I believe I make a very good pet-sitter.

Van jongs af aan hebben we altijd huisdieren gehad. Van vogels tot konijnen en van hond tot kat. Zelf heb ik momenteel een lieve kat en mag ik mezelf mede-eigenaar noemen van 3 schatten van hondjes. Ik heb vrijwilligerswerk gedaan bij een hondenuitlaatservice en een blindengeleidenhondenschool. Hier heb ik veel geleerd over het aanleren van gewenst gedrag en heb ik veel ervaring opgedaan met puppy's. Daarnaast heb ik ervaring met grotere hondenrassen zoals rottweilers en herders. Ik vind het belangrijk dat een dier zich op zijn gemak voelt en lekker zijn eigen ding kan doen. Knuffelen en uitgebreid spelen en wandelen hoort daar natuurlijk ook bij. 
Mijn kat vind honden nog wat spannend, maar ze is erg respectvol en communicatief hierover. Ze zal een rustiger plekje zoeken en confrontatie vermijden. Als ze een hond vaker ziet of langere tijd om zich heen heeft komt ze op haar tempo kennismaken, want ze is wel nieuwsgierig. 

Hi! Mijn naam is Victoria en ik woon in Arnhem. Ik ben sinds kort naar Nederland verhuisd uit Portugal. In Portugal heb zelf 3 honden gehad, een grote een middelgrote en een kleine dus ik heb heel veel ervaring met honden.&nbsp;

Mijn naam is Marcel, ik ben 27 jaar en gek op dieren. Samen met mijn 3 katten en mijn vriendin wonen wij in Arnhem. Vroeger hebben wij thuis ook altijd huisdieren gehad, honden, katten, vissen maar ook een reptiel.

Van uitlaten, tot een gezellig bezoek bij jouw huisdier. Ik ben overal voor in, ook kom ik altijd eerst een keer langs om alle veiligheid en communicatie met de ander door te spreken om alles zo soepel mogelijk te laten verlopen. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan speciale behoefte van uw dier, dit vraagt soms om extra veiligheidsmaatregelen dit zijn allemaal aspecten waar rekening mee gehouden wordt.

Doordat ik in Arnhem woon zijn er veel mogelijkheden voor mij om te reizen naar bijvoorbeeld Duiven, Westervoort, Velp en natuurlijk in Arnhem zelf. Als het weer het toe laat ga ik dan ook graag op de fiets naar de adressen toe. 

Ondanks dat ik nieuw ben op deze app is oppassen op dieren niet nieuw voor mij, regelmatig doe ik dit ook voor familie en vrienden. Denk aan het uitlaten van hun hond, verzorgen van katten, voeren van vissen enzovoort. 

Laat je poes of kat met een gerust hart achter tijdens je welverdiende vakantie!Opgegroeid met katten en een enorme dierenvriend. Ik begrijp hoe spannend het is om je gezinslid thuis te laten wanneer je op vakantie gaat. Met liefde kom ik langs om het beestje te voorzien van eten, een schone kattenbak en als hij/zij het toelaat, heel veel liefde.&nbsp;Ik ben 29 jaar, woonachtig in Arnhem, werkzaam in de communicatie en voorlichting bij de Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen en erg sociaal en empathisch. Zelf vind ik het best spannend om mijn kat achter te laten als ik een weekend weg ga of een reis ga maken. Daarom vind ik het belangrijk dat je je prettig bij me voelt en dat je huisdier goed op mij reageert. Ik ben communicatief sterk en stuur je regelmatig een foto of filmpje van je huisdier.Ik kom graag bij je thuis om de kat of poes te verzorgen wanneer je van huis bent.&nbsp;Planten wateren en post verzamelen is geen probleem. In overleg kan de kat ook bij mij in het huis komen. Het gaat om een appartement van 73 m2 met balkon, twee mensen (ikzelf en mijn beste vriend van 27 jaar) en een poes van drie jaar. Je viervoeter mag overal in huis komen, behalve op het aanrecht.Ook laat ik graag je hond uit in een bos/park/hondentuin bij jou in de buurt. De wandeling zal ongeveer een half uur duren. Ik heb geen ervaring met het toedienen van medicijnen of het geven van trainingen of vachtverzorging. Een hond in huis kan voor een paar uur, maar in verband met de poes is dit niet handig voor meerdere dagen.Ik werk 32 uur per week bij de Radboud Universiteit. Woensdag is mijn vrije dag, vrijdag werk ik thuis en de overige dagen ben ik op kantoor. Mijn honden avontuur begon met een chocolade bruine labrador pup. Deze heb ik van pup tot volwassen hond opgevoed. Twee jaar geleden adopteerde ik Liv. Mijn lieve straathond uit Roemenië. Zij heeft mij geleerd geduld te hebben en proberen om de hond te begrijpen. Dit helpt mij enorm tijdens het trainen van Liv en de vele avonturen die we samen beleven. 
Daarnaast werk ik op een zorgboerderij. Hier werk ik ook met andere dieren naast honden. Denk hierbij aan schapen, kippen, geiten en ezels. 
Liv en ik gaan dagelijks op avontuur en wandelen lekker door de parken van Arnhem heen. Ik neem jouw hond graag mee. Als jouw hond niet goed met andere honden kan, is het altijd nog een mogelijk om te kijken of we jouw hond helemaal alleen mee nemen tijdens een wandeling. De afstanden en locaties van deze wandelingen zijn aanpasbaar en ik zal rekening houden met de wensen van jouw hond.
