Top cities for cat sitting in The Netherlands

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Purmer Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Purmer cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Purmer cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Ive been learning how to deal with the dogs since I was a baby—my first family dog, a Giant Schnauzer, arrived when I was just a few months old. Later, I had an American Staffordshire Terrier—despite their tough reputation, we got along perfectly.
Now we have a Shetland Sheepdog and used to have a Maine Coon cat (almost the same size!). We took training classes with our dog to build trust and communication, which helped us to understand each other better. I truly enjoy spending time with animals—they bring so much joy and companionship.
I have always felt comfortable with pets and know how to handle them confidently and with care. I am flexible and happy to discuss a schedule that works best for you and your pet.
Whether it’s a nice walk or just a quick check-in visit, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for - as a dog-owner, I know how important it is! I also can care for your dog (female only) at our apartment, while you're on vacation.

Hi! I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter living with my husband, our two children, one cat and one dog. Animals are already a big part of our daily life, so your pet will be welcomed into a warm and loving home environment.

I work from home full-time, which means your pet will have constant supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I know from my own experience how stressful it can be to leave your pet behind during holidays or busy periods, so my goal is to make this as easy and comfortable as possible for both you and your pet.

A typical day includes regular feeding based on your pet’s routine, playtime, and daily walks (2–3 times per day depending on your dog’s needs). I adapt to each pet’s personality — whether they are energetic and playful or more calm and need a quiet space.

I provide updates during the stay, including photos and short messages, so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel at ease.

Your pet will never feel alone here — they will be treated as part of our family.

For safety reasons, I only accept vaccinated pets and ensure a clean, calm, and secure environment at all times.

If you’re looking for a trustworthy, experienced, and home-based pet sitter, I’d be happy to help!

Hi! My name is Gabriela — but you can call me Gabi!
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Throughout my life, I’ve had dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, birds, and even an aquarium — and taking care of them has always brought me joy and peace.
I’m naturally a very affectionate and responsible person, and I truly believe our pets deserve the same care, love, and attention that we would give to a family member.
I currently live with my elderly Schnauzer, Renato — the love of my life — who is very calm and gentle. He’s used to being around other animals and is always welcoming. My mom also lives with me. She is a retired nurse and shares the same love and care for animals that I do. ️
My mom and I provide pet-sitting services together. We work as a team to make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, care, and supervision throughout their stay. Having two of us also means your pet is never simply left on their own, and we can give them the individual attention they need.
Our motivation to be pet sitters comes from our genuine love for animals and the happiness we feel when we can make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved — especially when their owners can’t be around. Between us, we have experience with pets of different personalities, ages, and needs.
We are happy to care for pets in your home or welcome them into ours, depending on the service. Safety, well-being, and making your pet feel comfortable are always our top priorities.
We look forward to meeting your furry (or fluffy, feathery, or finned!) companion soon!

I truly love caring for pets and giving them the attention, patience, and affection they deserve. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, so I treat every animal as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy at all times.

I offer dog walking, as well as one or two home visits per day, always adapting to your pet’s routine and preferences. Whether it’s a relaxed walk, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company for the day, I make sure they receive consistent care and attention throughout the day. I also take the time to understand their personality, so they feel at ease and well looked after.

I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring and trustworthy hands while you’re away.

I love animals and I always will dus u kunt u huisdier met een gerust hart bij mij brengen. Hier zal ik hem/haar behandelen als mijn eigen kindje en genoeg liefde geven en lekker veel wandelen of leuke dingen doen met uw huisdier.

Hello there, I'm Ece
I'm thrilled to offer my services to accompany your beloved furry family members on their daily adventures.
My love for pets knows no bounds. My husband and I have joyfully hosted our friends' dogs and cats in our flat when they've been away, often for weeks at a time. From charming Cavaliers to spirited Terriers, our home has been filled with wagging tails and boundless affection. We also have our own cherished family dog, "Lemon," who brings endless joy to our summer house, we love spending time with her.
As a mindful pet sitter, I bring love, positive energy, and heartfelt care to your furry companion.
Although I can't promise downward-facing dogs or cat pose with your pet, my background as a certified yoga and meditation instructor allows me to be fully present in the moment with your beloved one.
If you feel that I could be the perfect friend for your pet, please don't hesitate to reach out. Together, we'll embark on a wonderful journey of adventures and companionship️.
I can do home visits for different types of pets. The pricing is for the short visits with general needs (approx.30 min ). If time extends and needs change we can discuss the pricing.
