Hi, my name is Valerie and I'm currently a student at the university of twente. I have spent a lot of time around different pets. That is why I would love to care for more pets as I love being around them. I can care for dogs, cats and other animals. I understand how being a pet parent can be difficult and we want to find someone we can trust to take care of them. I'll be sure to update you on your pet and send pictures :) I am also open to any suggestions that you have, and to feedback. As well as any special requests you have for your pet (crating, feeding etc) and bringing them in and out of your home. I live in a studio apartment so it would only be suitable for small dogs to stay with me, however I am happy to come and stay at your home. I am Lucien from Brussels, 22 years old, and a student in Robotics Engineering. I am an experienced traveler and responsible pet owner.
As a cat-lover, I am looking to give love to your cats and share soft and warm moments with them during my time off as a student. I have been living alone in an apartment in the Netherlands for the past four years for my studies, so I am very independent and know how to manage a property! I am careful and respectful of others, and I want to share quality time with them and help pet owners make their life easier.&nbsp;
In addition, I have cared for two cats myself while growing up, which instilled in me an unconditional love for felines from a young age. I have also some experience in long-term catsitting (i.e. 3 weeks stay abroad). I love taking care of all kinds of cats (shy, playful, grumpy) and always give updates and send pictures to the owners :) I come by to take care of cats from 30 min to 1 hour (once or twice a day if needed depending on travel time) for all services; feeding, litter cleaning, and playtime! Let me know if any routine and/or medication is necessary.


Mijn naam is Claudia van Huppel Heerlijk en ik ben een ervaren en liefdevolle dierenoppas met een groot hart voor dieren. Thuis zorg ik dagelijks voor mijn eigen dieren: katten, honden, konijnen, schapen, geiten, kippen, loopeenden en een baardagaam. Door deze brede ervaring heb ik veel kennis van verschillende diersoorten, hun gedrag, voeding en verzorging in de praktijk. Ik beschik over het diploma vakbekwaam overige zoogdieren, waarmee ik professioneel ben opgeleid in dierverzorging, dierenwelzijn, hygiëne en verantwoord werken met dieren.

Mijn ervaring bestaat uit het dagelijks verzorgen, observeren en begeleiden van zowel huisdieren als landdieren, waardoor ik snel veranderingen in gedrag of gezondheid kan signaleren. Ik ben gewend om rustig en zorgvuldig te werken, ook bij dieren die extra aandacht of structuur nodig hebben.

Ik ben gespecialiseerd in de zorg voor konijnen en cavia’s en bied daarnaast betrouwbare opvang aan huis. Ik kan ook medicatie toedienen volgens instructie van de eigenaar of dierenarts en ga zorgvuldig om met speciale voedings- of verzorgingsschema’s. In noodsituaties handel ik rustig en verantwoordelijk en neem ik direct contact op met de eigenaar of dierenarts indien nodig.

Daarnaast bied ik uitlaatservices aan waarbij wandelingen van ongeveer 30 tot 60 minuten worden afgestemd op het energieniveau en de behoeften van de hond. Ik ben flexibel beschikbaar, zowel voor korte bezoeken als langere opvangperiodes, en werk altijd in overleg met de eigenaar om de beste zorg te garanderen.

Elk dier krijgt bij mij persoonlijke aandacht, rust en verzorging die past bij zijn of haar behoeften. Of het nu gaat om een korte of langere periode, jouw dier is bij mij in veilige en liefdevolle handen. Deskundigheid, geduld en dierenwelzijn staan altijd centraal in mijn werk als dierenoppas en ik werk met veel passie en toewijding.

I am from Cyprus and have been studying in the Netherlands for some time now. I speak English, Greek and a bit of Dutch (learning). Back home i have 3 lovely doggos who i miss a lot! I would love to interact more with pets and i especially adore dogs. I would care for any pet as i would my own. I have had pets all of my life, so i spent most of my childhood and teenage years walking them and caring for them! I am very used to any behavior and can handle most unexpected events. My dog used to suffer from epileptic episodes, so that is something that i am unfortunately familiar with. He is okay now thankfully! But i have learned a lot from this and i know how to care in such an event as well as administer oral medication if needed. So i am experienced with good and bad things! But, above all i am very considerate and care deeply for pets.
I am available usually in the afternoons and evenings but also some mornings during the week. My hours are pretty flexible so i could take your dog for a walk even twice in a day. Some days it would be possible for me to visit your home too, either for a quick check in or to stay with your pet as long as they need. Regarding the walks i know it depends a lot on the dog. Anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour, i would be able to take on. If any training or grooming is in the routine i would be more than happy to help with that too. When it comes to day care or boarding at my house, i do not have an outdoor area, but i live close to many parks. I do have space in my living room where I could set up a dog bed and make it cozy for the pets while they are there. I could board one or maybe two dogs at the same time (as long as they are familiar with one another) but not more. I live with a housemate who also loves pets and generally our house is very calm and quiet. So overall, a safe space where i can watch on the doggos closely and care for them as they need.&nbsp;

Since my early childhood I’ve always had a huge passion for animals, and was lucky to grow up surrounded by lovely cats, a wonderful dog and for some time also chickens &amp; ducks. Growing up in the countryside of southern Germany also meant being around all kinds of farm animals, which increased my love and knowledge of animals even more. 

My dog and cat are still living with my parents, so I‘m constantly missing them (that can sometimes feel like the hardest part about studying abroad).
That’s also one of the reasons why I choose to offer my services on this platform. Because I would love to spend time with and care for your pets, with all the compassion that I also have for my own pets.

My schedule is very flexible at the moment, and I live in de Bothoven neighborhood. So I prefer requests from people who live somewhere in or around this area, also because that’s where I know a lot of good routes and dog parks.

Other than taking your pet for a walk, I also offer visits at your home and house sitting.
In any situation I will always give my very best so that your pet has a great time, lots of fun, and cuddles. Of course I can take care of feeding and giving medication after your instructions.

I have some dog treats myself, but prefer to use treats/food provided by you, to ensure that each pet always gets the food that’s best for them!
