Ik heb 2 zonen en hoewel ze volwassen zijn, hang ik nog steeds graag – gevraagd en ongevraagd – de zorgzame moeder uit ;-)&nbsp;
Ik ben altijd werkzaam geweest als adviseur in de marketingcommunicatie, maar door mijn medische situatie heb ik dat moeten opgeven en het roer om moeten gooien. Omdat ik zelf heel goede ervaringen heb met het inschakelen van Pawshake en ik voor mijzelf ook een nieuwe invulling zocht die goed bij mij past, heb ik besloten om mij als dierenoppas aan te melden.

Hoi allemaal, 
Mijn naam is Djara van Hoek, 24 jaar oud en ik kom uit Eindhoven. Vroeger heb ik thuis altijd honden gehad. Nu ik op mezelf woon mis ik het heel erg! Omdat ik nog meer wil reizen en soms ook weleens lange dagen werk, kan ik op dit moment zelf nog geen hond nemen. Ik zou het daarom leuk vinden om af en toe op passen op honden of ze uit te laten. 
Verder qua ervaring heb ik twee maanden vrijwilligerswerk gedaan bij een honden opvang genaamd Rescue Paws Curacao. Ik hielp met het verzorgen en socialiseren van de honden en natuurlijk ook met het schoonmaken van het center. Niet alleen de honden op center hielpen we, ook de zwerfhonden die op de wachtlijst stonden. Dit deden we door ze eten en drinken te geven, maar ook door ze te laten steriliseren en antibiotica te geven. 
Ook ben ik een tijdje foster geweest van Kacey. Kacey is een puppy die ik in Curacao op straat heb gevonden. Kacey woont inmiddels in Nederland. Met behulp van de opvang hebben we een thuis voor hem kunnen vinden. 
Ik woon in een appartement op de eerste verdieping (geen lift). Op 2 minuten lopen van mijn huis, is er een park en een losloop terrein. Als jullie verder nog iets willen weten, hoor ik het natuurlijk graag!

My name is Djara van Hoek, 24 years old and I come from Eindhoven. I used to have dogs at home. Now that I live on my own I miss it very much! Because I want to travel even more and sometimes work very long days, I can't have a dog myself at the moment. That's why I would like to occasionally look after dogs or walk them. 
Furthermore, in terms of experience, I did two months of volunteer work at a dog shelter called Rescue Paws Curacao. I helped with taking care of and socializing the dogs and of course also with cleaning the center. We didn't only help the dogs at the center, but also the stray dogs that were on the waiting list. We did this by giving them food and water, but also by having them sterilized and given antibiotics. 
I was also a foster for Kacey for a while. Kacey is a puppy that I found on the street in Curacao. Kacey now lives in the Netherlands. With the help of the shelter we were able to find a home for him. 
I live in an apartment on the first floor. There is a park and also an off-leash area for dogs within a 2 minute walk from my house. If you would like to know anything else, please let me know!

In my hometown, I lived with many animals such as our family dog, cats that we were feeding and other farm animals. So I have a deep connection with every one of them. I would like to take care of new cats and dogs and be friends with them :)
I had dogs and cats in my hometown and additionally, my wife has personal experience as a dog owner. She raised her golden retriever from a puppy until he turned two years old, and he remains a beloved member of my family.

Met 4 katten in huis en (helaas) 3 met een chronische aandoening weet ik als geen ander hoe moeilijk het is je trouwe vier voeter achter te laten tijdens een vakantie of lange werkdag.&nbsp;

Ik ben een betrouwbaar persoon die goed zorgt voor de dieren bij je afwezigheid. Ik heb een brede ervaring met het toedienen van medicatie en het geven van zorg.&nbsp;

Ik hou enorm van dieren en deel graag deze liefde door te zorgen voor andere dieren die het nodig hebben.&nbsp;

Mijn werkdagen zijn van maandag tot en met vrijdag van 09:00 tot half 6 en elke woensdag ben ik vrij. In principe kan ik buiten deze tijden veel voor je betekenen, hier komen we samen wel uit.&nbsp;

Ik kan met alle dieren overweg. Mijn voorkeur gaat naar honden en katten. Ik probeer op basis van de wensen van het dier/eigenaar specifiek te bekijken hoelang goed is qua wandelingen/bezoekjes.&nbsp;

Maurice, Fanta, Steven en Sep zorgen elke dag voor een glimlach en geven zoveel liefde en plezier. 2 van de 4 zijn al wat ouder en rustiger, waar de ander juist nog heel energiek zijn. Het varieert goed in ons huishouden.&nbsp;

Ik wil net als jij goed zorgen voor ze. Nu heb ik het geluk dat mijn zusje zelf katten oppas is en mij tijdens mijn eigen vakanties uithelpt zodat ik met een gerust hart op vakantie kan!&nbsp;

I grew up with dogs at my mom’s place, including Akitas and a Husky, so I have been around dogs my entire life. Because of this, I’m very familiar with different dog personalities, needs and routines, including larger and more energetic breeds. Dogs have always been a big part of my life and I truly enjoy spending time with them.

Now that I live on my own, I really miss having a dog around the house. I work from home, which means I’m present most of the day and can give a dog plenty of attention, care and company. Your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will be part of a calm, relaxed home environment.
