Top cities for cat sitting in The Netherlands

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Berkel en Rodenrijs Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Berkel en Rodenrijs cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Berkel en Rodenrijs cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hello! I'm Ahmet Girgin, 32 years old and I work as an electrical engineer. I'm a responsible, patient person, both in my professional life and in my daily routines. One of the most important parts of my life is my love for animals, and spending time with them brings me happiness, calm, and a strong sense of fulfillment.

I've been surrounded by pets for many years and I currently share my life with two wonderful companions: one cat and one dog. Living with both species has given me valuable experience in understanding different personalities, needs, and behaviors. I'm also familiar with feeding routines, daily walks, playtime, basic training consistency, litter box care, grooming, and recognizing when an animal may be feeling stressed or uncomfortable. This is my motivation to be a pet sitter

I strongly believe that pets are family members and deserve to be treated with kindness, patience. When caring for someone else’s pet, I make sure to follow their usual routines as closely as possible, as I know how important familiarity is for their comfort and emotional well-being.

I would be very happy to support you by taking care of your pet while you are away and to make sure they receive the same love, attention, and care that they get at home.

I only take vaccinated pets into my home. I can provide pet care either by visiting your home or, depending on availability, by welcoming your pet into my own home. I also offer walks tailored to your pet’s needs, whether you prefer short walks or longer, more active outings.

Hi, I am Shreya (sh-ray-ya) from India. I love animals and while I never had a pet of my own, I often pet sat for my neighbours growing up.
I like to be closer to animals and since I can't have one myself; I am happy to take care of your furries when you need to be elsewhere.I understand that each dog/cat has their own needs, care and love and I make it a priority to understand that when I meet a new doggo/cat. I can easily handle medium, large sized dogs and I am as comfortable with cats. Given my flexible nature of work, I am available to take care of your pet for the day - to walk/feed them or just to check in on them. I am also available for pet sitting at your house, while you're on a holiday. I promise you, I'll spoil your furry friend with love and cuddles, and send you many pictures of them, so you don't feel far from them. Experience with the following breeds, however not restricted to only these breeds - Cocker Spaniel, Labradors + various other cats. Hope to meet your and your furry friend soon!

I am currently pursuing a master's in law at Erasmus University, which brought me to the Netherlands. I grew up in an incredibly animal-loving family, especially my mother, who is well-known among her friends for her deep love of animals. Since childhood, we’ve hosted many pets in our home, which has shaped my deep affection for them. I love caring for animals and see them as true companions and friends. This love for animals has been a constant in my life and motivates me to engage with them whenever I can. Since I’m here for my studies, my cat is staying with my family in my home country, and I miss him dearly. This distance from him only strengthens my motivation to care for and connect with other pets during my time here. Being surrounded by animals continues to bring me immense joy and fulfillment, and it is something I always seek out. I can host cats at my home.

I have owned, walked and looked after dogs both in the UK and in The Netherlands. I love dogs. I love the walks, the cuddles, all the different personalities. I was brought up with labradors and spaniels. And have owned and bred spaniels in the UK, as well as sitting and walking various dogs both there and here in Rotterdam. I am also used to administer medicines. I moved to Rotterdam 3+ years ago with my now senior spaniels. We live in a very spacious place, with enclosed dog friendly garden and I have time, energy and patience to look after and/or walk all different dogs, young, senior, small, large, nervous, relaxed... I prefer to walk/visit and look after your dog based from your home as I can give them more time and they are in their familiar surroundings. I think dog sitting work is a real privilege and also a responsibility so I treat my work professionally and am completely reliable knowing you're putting your trust in someone to look after your beautiful dogs (I know because I always worry when someone new is looking after my dogs!) I am happy to keep you updated with messages, photos, videos depending on your preferences.

My name is Sabrina, and I am Brazilian/Dutch. I am married and have a 13-year-old daughter.I have had dogs almost my entire life, and our last dog was a beautiful Sheltie who lived to the age of 15. Unfortunately, he passed away and left a big void in our home. Since we are not planning to get another dog at the moment, the idea of caring for small dogs for other people really appealed to us. It brings joy, warmth, and companionship back into our home.I work from home two days a week, and my husband is home full-time, so your dog will always have company and will never be left alone for long periods during their stay with us.We live in a quiet neighborhood close to green areas and parks, where we can enjoy walks and playtime with the dogs. The length and frequency of walks will always depend on what your dog is used to and comfortable with.We also have a fenced yard where your dog can safely relax and enjoy some sunshine on nice days.We welcome one small or medium-sized dog (up to 10 kg) for overnight stays during holidays, weekends, or other occasions. Dogs are free to move around the house — although our beds are the only place where we draw the line .To ensure a comfortable and harmonious environment for everyone, we only accept dogs that are fully potty trained. We also only accept female dogs that are spayed/castrated.We can also brush your dog if desired. With our experience, love for animals, and caring home environment, we will look after your dog with lots of love, attention, and pleasure, making them feel truly welcomed as part of the family.‐---‐-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Mijn naam is Sabrina en ik ben Braziliaans/Nederlands.

Hi! I’m Başak, a Clinical Psychology master’s student at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and I’m a huge dog lover!
Having a dog of my own has actually been a childhood dream for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, my mum is allergic to dogs, so we were never able to have one at home. I definitely didn’t let that stop me from spending time with dogs, though! I always loved visiting friends who had dogs, playing with them, taking them outside, and getting to know their little personalities. Since I started university, I’ve also regularly looked after my friends’ dogs when they were away on holiday or simply needed someone to take care of them.
I also have previous experience as a dog walker in Turkey through a pet-care platform. Before starting, I completed a two-day emergency training where I learned more about dog walking, responsible pet care and what to do in different emergency situations, including practical exercises. So while I mostly do this because I genuinely love being around animals, I also understand how important it is to be responsible and attentive when someone trusts you with their pet.
I’ve also grown up with birds and have had a pet bird at home since I was very young. I still find it so much fun to talk to them and watch their funny little personalities!
I’d be happy to take your dog for a walk, give them some company, play with them and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m happy to follow their usual routine and adapt to their energy level and needs.
My university schedule changes from week to week, but I’m usually available some mornings and most afternoons on weekdays, and I’m generally quite flexible on weekends. I’d love to meet your furry friend and hopefully become someone they’re excited to see!
