Hi! I'm Simon and I am a Law student from Australia, and I just completed my semester abroad at Leiden University, here in the Netherlands. I own three rescue cats of my own back in Australia, all of whom I miss dearly, and so I would love to look after your pets in any capacity as I am missing having animal company! Since I was a child I have been an avid animal lover, I grew up watching David Attenborough and I also study science in Australia and would like to work in the field of animal conservation. My own cats are reasonably high maintenance, having issues with weight/diet, fighting, and urination, and additionally, Australian local councils have quite strict laws on pets, so I am a very thorough and meticulous pet owner myself, and if you so require I will be the same for your own pets. I know that everyone's animals have their own individual quirks and I pay strong attention to detail to ensure your pets will feel at ease with me. I have always appreciated it from people who have watched over my pets when I have been away, so I know the standard I expect. I have pet sat multiple times before for friends and family, including Dutch family relatives here in the Netherlands, where I looked after my cousin's elderly cat in Amsterdam while she was away over Christmas. I have looked after and walked dogs as well, and housesat for families on busy roads so I am very thorough at ensuring inside pets remain inside and safe (my own cats are known to dart out the door very quickly so I am extra cautious with all pets!) I hope I can be of great assistance to you, for short term or long term pet sitting or even just lower maintenance company or feeding of pets, or dog walking, which I very much enjoy with friends at home in Australia so would love to do so here!

I have high availability in mornings, afternoons and evenings. I am happy to discuss any details for home stay visits and how long I would be required to be at home for home visits, and I am more than happy to water plants, bring in mail, and do other tasks. Also have great flexibility around dog walking and can walk them for as long as you desire and as frequently, and find parks nearby to give them more time in nature. As someone who has lived my whole life in a big city, I am very aware of security measures for both houses and pets and will go to utmost care to ensure both are kept as secure as you require.
