Hello my name is Amy and welcome to my profile.

I am originally from Ireland and have been living in the Netherlands for the last eight and a half years. I grew up in the countryside and both sets of my grandparents had farms nearby so I spent a lot of my childhood helping out on the farms and learning to look after all the animals. Dogs have been a huge part of my life and growing up we had Golden Retriever, Saint Bernard, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Pomeranian and a Rough Collie. In addition to the dogs, we also had hamsters, fish and a tortoise.

During my studies when I could not have my own dog I often looked after my friends and family’s pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and horses. During my travels in Australia, I volunteered at a native animal rescue shelter and was taking care of the koalas, possums and wombats. I have a lot of experience with animals and am always willing to learn how to look after other types of pets.

These days I have my own dog called Keira, she is a 2.5 year old Toller (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever). I love going on big walks with her in the forest or at the beach.

I am generally available in the evenings and I am available for dog/puppy sitting and looking after cats or any other pets in your home. I am happy to look after pets in the Maarssendorp and Maarssenbroek areas (maximum of 4km away).

From personal experience, I understand that it can be challenging with a puppy/young dog being left alone at home for even short periods of time so I am also happy to check in on them and cuddle and play together if they are not yet old enough to go on a walk or to modify a walk dependent on age and distance they are old enough to walk far. I will, of course, keep you posted with pictures of the adventures I have together with your pet(s). I am also happy to water any plants and keep an eye on your home when you are away.

Hoi ik ben Amy en welkom op mijn profile.

Oorspronkelijk kom ik uit Ierland en sinds 9.5 jaar woon ik in Nederland. Ik ben op het platteland opgegroeid naast de boerderij van mij grootouders. Op de boerderij heb ik veel geleerd over het verzorgen van verschillende dieren. Toen ik jong was had mij familie veel verschillende hondenrassen: Golden Retriever, Saint Bernard, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Pomeranian en Rough Collie. Wij hadden ook hamsters, vissen en een schildpad.

Tijdens mijn studie paste ik veel op de huisdieren van mijn familie en vrienden. Tijdens een vakantie in Australië was ik vrijwilliger bij een asiel voor gewonde inheemse dieren. Ik heb hiervoor koala’s, possums en wombats verzorgd.

Ik heb mij eigen hond, zij heet Keira; een 2.5 jaar oude Toller (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever). Wij houden van lopen in het bos, langs de vecht of op het strand.

Ik werk binnen Maarssendorp en Maarssenbroek (maximaal 4km). Ik ben meestal s’avonds beschikbaar om jouw honden uit te laten en natuurlijk ook om op te passen op jouw honden, katten of andere huisdieren. Ik zal ook foto’s opsturen tijdens onze avonturen. Daarnaast kan ik ook jouw huis- en/of tuinplanten water geven.
