*IMPORTANT NOTICE* : My services will be suspended until further notice, for personal reasons. Thank you for your understanding.
Hi! My name is Deborah, I moved to The Hague from Italy almost a couple of years ago. It's been a year since I am on Pawshake and I had some of the most adorable guests and had the pleasure to know their owners. I am excited to continue this journey, let's see if I am the pet-sitter you are looking for!
MY SERVICES:
When undertaking a service, I will be fully committed to it. During daycare or boarding, the pets will be around the house as if it's their own home and they will be bedded inside. I will take them on long walks when possible, otherwise at least 30 minutes per walk three times a day will be assured.
I am a clean person, I love to keep my house tidy and in order, so the environment where pets will spend their time will be clean as well.
I will be available for any further question or arrangement via messages, calls or in person. I will use the Intake Form provided by Pawshake to have every pet registered, to avoid miscommunications and to have all the information I need about your friends so they can feel as comfortable as possible when they are with me.
ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Deborah, I moved to The Hague from Italy a couple of years ago. I live with my husband in a nice apartment with a balcony, in front of a park and within walking distance to the beach. I speak Italian, fluent English, French, a little bit of Spanish and I just started to learn Dutch.
I have three cats in Italy that I love very much, they are 14, 13 and 6 years old. I also had a dog, Gina, that was 16 years old when she left us and a turtle named Ninja. My sister has a German Shepherd, he is 10 years old right now. All of our pets were living together, the cats, the turtle, my dog, and my sister's dog was also spending a lot of time with us.
I could not bring my cats with me, since they are used to their home, with my mother... I miss so much their love and affection. Not to mention the love and affection I received from Gina, with whom I shared the best part of my younger years.
I cannot take any pet with me here since I travel back and forth and I cannot think of leaving them for long periods or having to burden them with a lot of flights.
I thought that being a pet carer could have been the best solution: I'm eager to give all the love I'm capable of to someone else's pet that needs a warm and safe place to stay or that needs to go out and run and play. It just brings me pure joy to know that I can have the company of the pets, offering an essential and reliable service to their owners.
Maybe i have been very lucky, or maybe I have done my job well, but my pets have always lived a long and happy life. I'm not a professional but they have been very well taken care of. They are (and were) also very well educated. I like to think from their perspective (what they like, what they feel) and I'm also very attentive in general and if particular requests are being made.
In conclusion, I enjoy being with the animals. Taking care of them does not represent a burden to me but a pleasure. They will always find extra cares and extra cuddles in my home and I will look after them as if they are my own.
Our two rescue doggies, Ivoni and Saira, just boarded with Deborah for a 16-day period, and they could not have been treated better! Deborah regularly sent us updates, photos and video clips, which reassured us that they were ok and happy and healthy. 8-year old Ivoni was adopted from Crete two years ago after having been cruelly abandoned and can still be a bit fearful and anxious at times, but Deborah dealt with this in a very gracious and reassuring manner, and both furbabies had a wonderful time! Thanks so much Deborah, we really appreciate it!
Dunya has some separation anxiety but she was happy to stay with Deborah, which I was really relieved about. Deborah has a kind and calm demeanour with dogs and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again.
