ABOUT ME:

Hello, cat parents!

My name is Malene, I'm 25 years old, and my nationality is Norwegian. Currently doing a bachelor in hospitality management at Hotelschool the Hague (campus Amsterdam) and have been working in a hotel in Zuias for around 2,5 years now (9-5 four days a week).

I grew up in a small town in Norway called Hamar. I have had and been around pets since I was very young; hamsters, gold fish, cats, and dogs. I currently have one dog who is living with my mother in Norway. His name is Casper and he is the most adorable chihuahua you will ever meet (no offense to other chihuahuas)!

I also lived with my aunt for some years and she had, up until recently (old age:(), a cat (Salsa, Norwegian Forest cat) and a dog (Tango, Westie) that I would take care of as well.

The main reason for signing up for Pawshake is because I love cats and would love to have plenty of them, however I am in a stage of my life where I am not really able to own a pet myself. Therefore I have to find other ways, and this is perfect :)

I live in Binnenkant street in Amsterdam with my boyfriend who also has a kind and caring soul towards animals <3 The apartment is around 76 m2, and I have uploaded two pictures to my gallery.

*I can stay with the pet for as long as you would like if I am available during that time. I am very willing and flexible. Pet sitting in your home would include me spending time with the pet, feeding them, playing with them and cuddling them.

**As I am working 9-5 four days a week, I will be able to spend time with the cat before and after that time. My boyfriend also works from home sometimes, and would be able to spend some time with the pet if I am not there.

Making both the pet and the owner feel safe/comfortable is of course a huge priority to me, so any security measures etc. that you want to implement to ensure this I am more than happy to do (i.e. picture/video updates at your preferred frequence).
