About me:

Hey, I am Odri (33) and I have been living in Utrecht since September 2022. I am an architect and spatial planner. I worked in Austria for a decade before deciding to move to the Netherlands to study further. 

Appart from care for creatures of all species I am passionate about my fellow queer folk and history, history in general, architecture as a pedagogical approach, archaeology and spatial justice in urban, peri-urban and rural landscapes.

Care experience:

Care for our companions with wet snouties and mostly but not always 4 paws has been my focus and a deep passion ever-since I can remember. 

I have experience with daily 24/7 care for big dogs (basset hound and Weimaraner), medium, small, tiny and puppy dogs for a time period of 1-5 weeks. 

Cats have also been in my care for cleaning their toilet, giving food and cuddles. In Utrecht I had the privilege and fun of sitting two 🐈 already.

Experience with first aid emergencies.

History of Pets & Odri

I grew up with a lot of animals and I took full responsibility for them from a very young age. I took care of our cat Tom, he was a fluffy tomcat, but I also had rabbits, fish, ducks, hamsters, 🦀 and finally a dog - Lucky. He was with me till he was 14 and 2 years before he passed away my second dog-companion came into my life - Kookie.

Kookie has been with me since 2010 and we have been through all life's ups and downs together. She is now an elderly 13 year old but still perky lady that takes heart meds every day and needs orthotics to be able to walk. 

I was lucky enough to be able to help her through health struggles and also to be able to take her with me when I moved from Prague to Vienna and from Vienna to Utrecht in 2022. Now we are happily living in Lunnetten. 

Why I want to pet sit your fluffy/unfluffy companion?

Through Kookie I learned how much incredible emotional support we can receive as our pets familiar and I would love to give some support back to other animals who's parents maybe don't have time for a walk because of work and life.

Every creature is super individual and I enjoy discovering the nuances and quirks. I am a patient pet-companion, everyone needs their own time for certain things and that's ok. 

I will consult you in detail on our first meet-up to make sure your animal companion feels safe and seen and to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

I can give healthy snacks if you would like that and I understand if your animal companion needs something extra that you might find difficult to ask of a third person. I say this because my dog also has some things she likes or dislikes and people sometimes find it strange or wowouldn'know unless I told them. So, I get it. It is not easy to find someone you can fully rely on when it comes to our furry children:-)
