Two gays in their 30s that are the happy dog parents of a Maltese male Max. We live in the city centre of Utrecht next to several dog parks (3-min walk away), wharfs (1-min walk away). We also have a 15m2 balcony and a 35m2 roof terrace (both fenced). Dogs receive daily 45-min (90-mins on weekends) walks in mornings with exercises during feedings (sit, stand, down, etc.), daily brushing of teeth and hair. We follow Michal Wombacher’s dog training philosophy: lots of love, cuddles, and discipline (i.e., potty training, barking, biting, etc.) as there is no such thing as a ‘bad dog’ merely dogs that have not received enough exercise (both physical and mental stimulation required). We are happy to share these with your dog. We regularly housesit a female kookier (4 years old, high energy, high affection). Our male dog (3 years old) is very well trained, graduated with top marks from five successive courses at Sammie dog school in Utrecht. We are looking to house sit small dogs (<10kg) of any age (we also accept puppies), both genders. Our main benefit as dog sitters is to expose Max to different types of dogs inside our house as we will get a second dog in 2024/25. At least one dog parent is working from home every weekday. Each dog will have its own bed in a separate room and receives ‘quiet time’ for the necessary 14 hours of daily sleep to reduce stress for the dogs. We require dog passports including up-to-date vaccinations (unless the puppy is under 3 months old). We speak English, Dutch, and French.
