Demian & Yara

We are Yara & Demian, both 23 years old and working and studying in Utrecht. We have a lot of experience with animals and, most importantly, a lot of love for them.

Yara rescued 8 cats from the streets in her youth and gave them a safe and happy home. Her parents also got a shiba and she enjoyed spending a lot of time training, walking, playing and cuddling with him. Apart from dogs and cats, she has experience with birds, bearded dragons, guinea pigs and fish.

Demian grew up around border collies and has always been a lover of dogs. When Yara introduced him to her cats, he fell in love with those, too. He has experience being a puppy sitter, which was his favourite job ever. He also had guinea pigs and a rabbit as a kid.

Together, we've done a lot of stay-ins where we looked after people's houses and dogs while they were on vacation. We also used to walk shelter dogs together (and Yara started training them, just for fun), so we have experience taking walks with dogs of all sizes and backgrounds.

Where we live right now, we don't have the space to get our own pet. Being around animals makes us very happy, though. We miss it, and we love to help out where we can. So if you need a pet sitter who will give your pet(s) all the attention they need, don't hesitate to contact us!

Yara works from monday til thursday, but can work from (any) home on tuesdays and wednesdays. Demian is a student and has a very flexible schedule. We can petsit together or alone, so that doubles the chances that at least one of us will find the time to help you out whenever you need.

We offer house visits, house stays, and outside walks. We can spend time with your pet(s), play and cuddle with them, feed them, and help train them. We also have no problem brushing/combing animals, giving oral medication or cleaning litterboxes. Things like watering plants can also be a part of house visits and stays.

A dog walk can take up to an hour, depending on the animal's needs. We can go anywhere within walking distance from your house. If you have multiple dogs, we can walk up to 3 at the same time.

Lastly, we have experience with stubborn animals, anxious animals, and big, overly enthusiastic ones. We are used to treating all animals with patience, love and consistency, and have been successful in connecting with all the pets we've had the chance to care for so far. Therefore we trust that we can take good care of any pet who needs a little extra attention, as long as we are well informed about their special traits and needs.
