For over a decade I have been working with animals, primarily as a zookeeper in my native New Zealand. I have been working mostly with carnivorous mammals and was responsible for all aspects of husbandry, enrichment and training. Literally 'herding cats'. 

I was a primary cheetah handler where I worked free contact with the cheetah, and took them for walks around the zoo. This required a trusting relationship with the cats.

During this time I worked outside all day in all weather, with all different animal personality types- easy and 'difficult'.

Fast forward to moving to the Netherlands with my partner and kids, and having no pets of my own here I am really missing animal time.

I hold a New Zealand dog owners licence and owned rehomed/ previously stray dogs. They needed extra time spent working on different behaviours, and helping them learn how to fit into normal family life.

I am happy to walk/visit all types of dogs in all types of weather, and visit any other animals needing my time. 

Unless requested I will walk the dog for at least one hour in their own neighbourhood so they feel more comfortable. I am happy to start or continue working with current training of your dog once they are comfortable with me.

For visits I will spend at least one hour interacting with your pet, more if requested. I am very used to cleaning up after animals big and small so that is no problem. Litter boxes, bird, rodent houses all fine. I can bring in mail and water plants as needed.

I have owned long haired dogs and cats that required maintenance so can also brush and detangle fur.

I can administer oral, topical and injected medication.

I am available weekdays (only in mornings on Wednesday) from 8am till 2pm.
