My name is Alena, I am an architect and currently I live in Rotterdam. I'm not your ordinary pet sitter. I believe our furry, feathered, and scaled friends are more than just pets — they're cherished family members, and they deserve nothing less than the best care and companionship.

I have grown up surrounded by different pets my whole life. I have had my cat since I was 2 years old. Then I also had parrots while my minor brother had small hamsters and a big German Shepherd. All these animals were living together at our house — so, I know exactly how to create a comfort zone for all of them. Living far from my family house I also used to spend a lot of time with my friends' pets, while they traveled. Go check the pictures I have posted! 

MY MOTIVATION:

My motivation to be a pet sitter stems from a lifelong passion for animals. From the earliest days of my childhood, they've been my constant companions through thick and thin, offering solace during tough times and celebrating with me in moments of joy.

Having cared for a diverse range of animals, including dogs, cats, and even the tiniest hamsters, I've learned that each creature has its own special needs and quirks. My experience has honed my ability to adapt and provide individualized care based on the understanding of the unique needs and personalities of each animal, and ensuring that your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away.

MY SERVICES:

My services go beyond the basic necessities of feeding and walking. As your trusted pet sitter, I am committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your pets when you can't be there. Whether it's engaging in interactive play, ensuring they receive their daily exercise, or simply offering comforting companionship, I tailor my services to meet the specific needs and preferences of your furry friends.

I am very happy to offer:

Dog Walking: I'll take your dog for a walk of approximately 30-60 min or the required time based on their needs. Nearby parks are nice for exercising and releasing your dog's energy.

Home Visits: At pet sitting, I'm open for your interest! I can do 1 or 2 visits per day. A typical home visit will last around 30 minutes. I will feed your furry friend, take them for a walk, provide play time, and cuddle them if they allow me. I will also clean their litter box every time I visit. You will be updated with a text and a picture from me every time before I leave your house. 🙂

House Sitting: 24 hours with constant attention to your pet including 2-3 outdoor walks.

SO, FOR THE BEGINNING: 

Before we move forward with pet care arrangements, let's schedule a friendly meet-up. This will give us a chance to get acquainted and ensure we're aligned in our approach to caring for your beloved companion.

Additionally, I'm more than happy to help with other tasks such as watering your plants and collecting your mail if needed. And, I can also administer oral medication if your pet needs this (I did that a lot with my parents’ cats and dogs) but I don’t do any injections. So, keep that in mind, please.

🐱 CATS

During my time at your residence, I'll ensure that your cat enjoys his meal, always has access to fresh water and a clean litter box, and I will give him a hug or play if he would like to.

A standard home visit is approximately 30 minutes unless your cat happens to be not in the mood and is hiding. If so, I'll finish my visit earlier to prevent any additional stress on him.

As you know, cats prefer the same schedule, so I will try to keep it to make it more comfortable and to come every day at the approximately same time.

One of my foremost responsibilities is ensuring the safety and well-being of your pet during your absence. With this in mind, I recommend keeping your cat indoors for the entirety of our visits, as the outdoors can pose various hazards. If, however, you choose not to, please be aware that you assume responsibility for any eventualities that may occur.

There will be a €5 fee per visit added per additional cat if you have more than two cats in your house. This adjustment accounts for the extended time required to ensure that each of your beloved pets receives the care they deserve.

🐶 DOGS

Your dog and I will have a 30-60-minute walk if the weather cooperates. During the walk, we will play, run, and exercise together. If the weather is bad, we'll come back home earlier, after your dog's necessary potty break. So then we'll enjoy some quality playtime and companionship for the rest of the time.
