Hey!

A little about me:

Hi! My name is Lora! I have always had pets and i just love taking care of animals! I have been in the Netherlands since 2020; i have lived in Groningen and now relocated in Utrecht! I am a student on my way to graduate soon! I spend about two days a week at a shelter where i care mostly for the cats and take the dogs for walk in the nearby area!

My first pet was a small turtle 🐢 that i just adored! I later adopted a cat 🐈 while i was studying in China -he taught me a lot and due to his tough medical history i learned a lot, when it came to administering medication- such as pill intake.

However, due to me having to relocate i had to fly us all the way from there to Denmark (where i am from)! After moving to NL, i adopted another cat as well!

My experience with animals stems from having used to lead a rescue group in Shanghai that deal with well-fare and well being of animals! We worked like first responders and tried to care for street animals, then making sure they are well taken care of until they can be fostered but kind people! 🐈 🐕

I started volunteering here as well and learned a lot! I am experienced in cat sitting, cat administration of medication! Along with dog sitting, walking and exercising!

What would distinguish me perhaps? I adore animals and they have always and will always have my undivided attention. I believe that each pet has their own characteristics and their own way of doing things and i like to try to figure them out and be the best sitter possible for them!

I believe in their freedom to choose when to engage with them; thus allowing them their own space and time without forcing them to be hugged for example! I like to engage with cats and dogs in social activities if they like it, engaging games and play time and providing them with the accordance of their need eg. A doberman might require a few thousands steps walk or small run! Or a husky!

AVAILABILITY:

◦ all weekends (dog walking/cat sitting)

◦ During the week as well

◦ If there is time i am not available i will make that clear

I am a university student so my schedule is pretty flexible!

SERVICES:

◦ Dog walking - adjusted to the amount/exercise the dog needs

◦ Pet sitting - looking after them, feeding, walking, grooming (if for example a pet is shedding and needs a little brush)

◦ Cleaning their litter, washing their bowls + overall pet care

🤍 i like to think that i am well versed in basic understanding of how to care and look after pets! Due to my cat having multiple complication and me constantly having to worry until he got better, i learned subtle signs of when something might be going wrong! If you were to choose me; i would rely on daily communication of pictures and videos of the pets sent directly to their owner along with any other requests that might make the owner at ease when it comes to their beloved pet! I completely understand how never wracking and difficult it can be to leave a part of the family with a sitter!

Fun fact: I adore Huskies, Shiba Inu, Retrievers and Dobermans! I just have such a soft spot for them due to just different encounters within rescuing communities, also through friends and ever since i was little i just always loved these dogs! I do not own a dog yet as i am waiting to find a bigger house with my boyfriend but when the time is right I most certainly will, however 50% on all dog sitting, walking services for these breeds! (Perhaps a little bias, but i have always dreamt of owning and being around them more, so here is a my chance) 🐕🦮🤍
