I’ve been in contact with horses, cats and dogs since I was 6. I’d love to be with pets now too seeing as I just moved from London, which can be cold and often tenants are not allowed pets. A friend of mine told me she was dog-sitting and I signed up as a result

I am an active walker in my neighbourhood, and often feel like I need an excuse to leave the house. I study full-time but am now writing a thesis, generally from home.

I live in an apartment in Utrecht with a big couch on which the pet may sit. I take regular walks on my own and I live near a few parks. The apartment has three flights of stairs, so I do need to know whether your pet can climb stairs or can be carried!

Before I can accept, could you please tell me about your pet, like:

• whether your dog barks
• how old your pet is
• whether your pet is okay with stairs
• any character traits I should know about
