Hello! My name's Justin and I'm a student at Maastricht University. I had a bachelor degree in Paris and I moved here to pursue a european politics study program at the master's level. I love sports and connecting with people. I work a few hours a week at thuisbezorgd and I always see a lot of cats in the city which really brightens my day. Since then, I've been thinking and decided I wanted to work as a pet sitter first and foremost because I love pets! I've had a dog when I was younger and had a cat most of my life, though he had to live with my grandma because of my mother's allergies. I understand how those pets are so precious to us, and we want to make sure they're safe, fed and loved at all times.

A little anecdote I will share, so you can know a little bit more about me. My grandma just had a new dog two years ago and I stayed with her for about a month to help her with taking care of the dog and getting her adjusted to her new life since she's a rescue and she is a big dog (Beauceron) with a big character haha. My grandma couldn't walk her at first because of this so I had to help out a lot for her education and check if she didn't rip off her bandages (she had just had surgery before she got her)(which i saw she ended up succeeding in scratching herself against a rough wall), when I checked her surgical wound it seemed to have reopened so we brought her to the vet to get that re-opened scar treated. In the city, since she wasn't trained yet I was the one walking her since she used all her strenght to try and run in whichever direction she wanted, which obviously my grandma (or mom who came to visit at some point) could not do. I followed the dog instructor's rules (whom we saw a few times) to teach her properly. Now my grandma can walk her on her own, she's very healthy and her dog and I are very close, she's like my best buddy, just dog-shaped haha.

I also had a partner with two cats for over a year, I loved playing with them and i remember my partner at the time worried that one of the two wasn't going to like me because he seemed to dislike everyone, even in the family, except her. But the first day I came in, we bonded almost instantly and I loved both cats like they were my own right away. I cat-sitted for a few weeks in total by myself instead of their cousin who had always done this since the mother saw how bonded the cats and I were and how I put my heart into taking care of them properly. Even when everyone was home and I was there, I was the one who usually fed them and brushed them. And I loved to play with them and cuddle them!

In short, I would simply love to help families, couples and people out with taking care of their pets to the very best of my abilities while you may be away on a trip for work or leisure. I am a very careful and caring person. We can meet a few times before you leave so you can meet me in person and introduce me to your lovely pets. I would also send you daily updates, either photos or videos to reassure you and show you how everything is going.
