I have over 25 years experience with taking care of and training pets. I work with dogs and cats. I have worked with various rescues as well.
I am a dog trainer and am comfortable working with animals with behaviors.
I also do pet and people photography so I know how to really work with animals and read their body language.
I do this professionally as a registered business through the KVK.
I am experienced in dealing with all kinds of dogs and their behaviors. I am able to give medication and attend to the needs of senior or disabled dogs or cats.
For cat visits- I feed and change the water for the cat as well as clean the litter box and play with them. People think cats don't need attention and don't mind being alone. This is untrue. Cats miss their owners and feel sad and need love and cuddles just like any other animal.
For dog walks- I offer a 30 minute walk or jog with your dog. If you need an hour or longer, the fee is a little higher. I do not take them off leash. No dog is going to have 100% recall with someone who is not their owner and it is not responsible to allow a dog off leash until a proper bond has been established with the dog.
I also do not take your dog to the dog park. I take my job very seriously and I can't control other people's dogs and how they are going to interact with your dog. I have seen some owners who are not paying attention and their dog ends up hurting another dog. I take my job seriously and I won't put your dog in any position that they could possibly be hurt.
For overnight stays- I keep your dog on the routine that you currently have with them. It's already stressful enough for them that their people are gone, so I make sure that their routine stays the same. I don't go to another job or school. This is my job (as well as photography and graphic/web design). So when I am with your animal, I am completely with your animal. I only leave to go to the grocery store. This allows me to be able to give your animals the time and attention that they deserve. I also do not take other sits/walks when I am on an overnight sit.
I do offer dog training as well. I have been training dogs for over 25 years and have experience with all kinds of specialized training, for example, hunting, puppy, aggression, and separation anxiety just to name a few. So I am well qualified to take care of your fur baby!
My schedule is very flexible and I am available on short notice. I try to be very flexible because I know how much I love my dogs and how picky I am with the person who watches them, so I want to offer that same level of service that I expect. I have plenty of references outside of Pawshake.
I don't mind if you want a security camera set up.
I know it's scary to leave your fur babies with someone else! I'm more than happy to provide whatever you need to make that a little easier! I send pictures (or videos if requested) every day along with an update of how things are going. I also send pictures of the furbaby just being themselves so that you can see that they are happy and relaxed.
I, unfortunately, can't take your dogs/cats at my house.
Doggy day care and Dog walks always have a flexible cancellation policy:
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
After some bad experiences with cat sitters, I am so happy to have found Grace! She is the nicest person, updates you on all the little details and treats your furbabies like her own. My cats have never been so calm after me coming back after being away for a few days.
