I'm a 20 year old Lithuanian girl currently doing my Psychology, Politics, Law and Economics (PPLE) bachelor at UvA.
I grew up surrounded by animals at our countryside house in Lithuania. Currently, my family owns two wonderful dogs - Luna (small poodle) and Bugas (Old English Sheepdog or Bobtail). When they were little, I was still attending school and remember loving training them various tricks in my free time:) I believe that interaction and communication of care for the pet is super important to ensure their well-being!
However, I had to move to the Netherlands for my university studies and have been missing the feeling of having a pet close by. Therefore, I decided it would be a good idea to try out pet sitting and in this way help decrease that negative feeling while also helping someone out:)
I am mostly familiar to interactions with dogs as they were the pets we always had at home. This includes walking them, training some easy tricks (sitting, laying, rolling around, giving paw etc.) and overall communication with them.
I also have some experience with cats as I used to pet sit the cat of my grandmother and my family also had some cats of our own:)
