Hello, My name is Giulia Claus. I’m 20 years old and I study Psychology at the UvA. I’m originally from germany, and thus speak german, english and a little polish, but I love learning about new cultures and new people. Furthermore I love animals. From the moment I was born I grew up with 3 cats. 2020 the last one of these siblings died at the proud age of 22. My family and I were always huge animal lovers and always considered them part of our family, which is why we tried to give them the best care. My mom is a dog trainer, who I’ve always worked for every now and then as a dog sitter or dog walker, and since we live right next to the forrest we also have 3 dogs. Last year we got a call from a friend of my mom about kittens that were tossed away and that’s how we’ve come to rescue 3 more cats. At first they were really scared of people, but over the year they’ve come to love us and truly be happy at our home. My point is that I have a lot of experience with animals, am very patient with them and just simply love them. Which is probably also why I’m a vegetarian since the age of 12 and went volunteering to an animal orphanage last year. Ever since moving to Amsterdam I truly miss my pets, which is why I’d love to work with them again. As I am a broke college student, I am also trying to make a little money on the side.
