About Paula

Hello there!

I'm a 29-year-old architect from Chile, currently studying for a master's degree at the University of Amsterdam. While puruing my studies, I would love to supplement my income by doing something that I truly enjoy and excel at: caring for animals.

I’ve been around pets my entire life, having grown up in a household filled with cats and dogs. Most recently, I cared for Raco, my beloved 9-year-old, three-legged Border Collie, who unfortunately had to stay back in Chile as I pursue my studies here in the Netherlands.

Beyond my personal experience, I’ve also gained valuable experience pet sitting for both cats and dogs, not only in the Netherlands but also internationally. This has helped me develop a strong understanding of the unique needs and personalities of different animals, and I always ensure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in my care.

I would be absolutely thrilled to take care of your pet—whether it’s a cat, dog, or any other animal. I’m available to visit your home or apartment to ensure your pet is well-fed, entertained, and looked after while you're away. Additionally, I can take your dog out for refreshing walks, giving them the exercise and stimulation they need. My priority is to make sure your furry companion feels relaxed and happy in your absence, so you can have peace of mind.

I found Paula here on Pawshake and decided to contact her by booking her for the few days when I had to go abroad. She responded immediately and very attentively. She also had to go away for a bit, but because I had to leave on the day she would return, she still managed to quickly find a slot to visit me.

She arrived exactly on time as agreed and noted all the details of the house, how to open the door (I have an electronic door), and information to operate the alarm. When I was away and she came by on the first day to look after the cats, she sent me a message that everything was okay with the cats and even a video. Very thoughtful.

I can highly recommend Paula; she is attentive, crazy about cats (and they about her), and sticks to agreements.
